This is the only mall we have in Lexington or the surrounding area. I live in Mount Sterling and it takes me about an hour to get to this mall. It's a little irritating that Starbucks is no longer in the mall, there is an old-school coffee, but when you're craving your tried and true drink you can no longer pick it up while shopping. I LOVE shopping and especially at this mall. The variety of stores is great, my personal favorite is Pacsun. Their clothes are super nice, but the workers not so much. I walked in excited to buy some clothes and as soon as I walked in I felt unwelcomed and judged, this is not the first time this has happened. The workers were giving dirty glances and even during check out they acted like I was just a bother. However, I do love their clothes so I continue to just order online. On a casual visit to Lexington my family came to the Fayette Mall and it was a great day of shopping and snacking. Don't worry about coming hungry; a food court is available. This spot offers popular clothing shops and a gaming shop that blew us away with their selection of items and stellar service. We were thrown off once to learn 2-3 of the spots had more than one location in the mall. Plenty of parking and also near other restaurants and shopping. If you're coming to browse, rather than targeting specific shops, I'd recommend giving yourself a lot of time to enjoy the stroll. read more

Honestly of the choices that are around Lexington for their malls, this one is the best in the area. Sure they may not have other stores that bigger malls have; but I think that's ok. The mall is always clean and the mall officers are always kind. I feel safe when I come to the mall. Thankfully I've never had any issues. I love that this mall decorates for Christmas time. I find it silly that a notice about minors coming to the mall has to be written down...only takes a few minors to ruin it for other minors, that's unfortunate. I'm glad to see that the mall is picking up steam again! For a while whenever my friends and I would go there, half of the stores would be empty storefronts. This past visit almost every storefront was truly occupied. There are plenty of food/snack options while you wander around too. My only real complaint about this mall is that the bathrooms are almost never clean. I hate when I need to use them because of how gross they are. read more

I stopped by the Fayette mall when I was visiting family down in Lexington and we went shopping to a bunch different places. This mall is the first time I've ever been here but I think like a lot of malls it's just kind of almost a thing of the past and things are kind of disappearing because it's not the best looking quality mall that I've been to. I'm guessing that for the area, this is one of the better offerings for a mall. At the same time, I'm experienced enough to see how going to the mall has become a completely different experience from 15-20 years ago. They have a Dick's Sporting Goods store, a multitude of other standard stores, including a store catering to the anime fans. Overall, I'd say it's solid. read more

I haven't been to the mall in more then five years . To be honest I can't stand the traffic. But yesterday I took the day off to run some errands &decided to go to the mall in the morning . It seems that there are a number of stores that relocated to The Summit. I did go to the food court and stuffed myself silly with bourbon chicken &it was as good as I remember it to be ! The only thing that grinded my gears was the fact that I literally had some guy chase me down the corridor all the way to the women's room to ask for a cigarette. I had been sitting outside by the cheese cake factory smoking &then got up to head inside . I wasn't able to find mall security walking through the mall &I couldn't remember where I saw the sign that pointed to the mall office . I did call when I got home because it was just creepy this dude literally followed me almost to the point of him walking into the women's room as well . Now at this point I'm on high alert and pissed off that this guy was asking for a cigarette. So my reply was that I had smoked my last one before walking into the mall. I was impressed on my first trip to the Fayette Mall. I do not shop at indoor malls much anymore but when you're visiting the north in the winter and it's snowing you grow to appreciate them lol. My dad and I were looking for some UK gear to where to the basketball game that night. There were a few stores in the mall that catered to college gear. My dad found a hoodie in one store and I found a scarf and t-shirt at the Kentucky Corner. The mall was clean with a fairly modern style. There were several upscale stores such as Coach a Michael Kors. There were department stores such as JC Penney's, Macy's and Dillard's, and several jewelry stores. There were more than 30 places to eat with choices of fast food or sit down service. There was also a Cinemax 16 theater. You can easily spend many hours shopping at the Fayette Mall. read more

This is the most updated mall in Lexington. With all the other facilities closing, Fayette Mall may be the only indoor mall in the city. I hadn't been there in a while and I don't really like going during the busy holiday season because there is heavy foot traffic. Alas, the restaurants have been updated and there are several new store offerings. I would definitely recommend this mall to tourists. read more

I will admit, I avoid going to the mall unless I really need to visit a store here. It's just this part of town is always so busy. There are a variety of stores here. Coach, J Crew, Banana Republic and the Disney store are the ones I visit the most. There's also a Yankee Candle, 2 Bath and Body Works and a handful of shoe stores. Over the past few years, the mall has seen some hardships. There are several storefronts empty. I anticipate what the mall will do to bring in new stores. I feel that's what the Fayette Mall needs; new stores to bring in new customers. There's plenty eats and parking. Recently, due to crime, they have more of a police presence. Also, you have to wear a mask at all times due to COVID. read more

The maps posted around the mall are a bit blurry depending on where you stop, they can also be a bit complicated. We weren't sure where the plaza was and had to aimlessly wander for a while before two employees from different stores gave us directions. I am a child of the 70/80s so I still love a good mall! I remember this one when it had grand fountains, a movie multiplex and York Steak House. This place has updated and stayed relevant over the years. The food court has some good choices. Instead of a fountain there is a kids play area and kiosks that will sell you everything from a new phone cover to hair extensions. Macy's and Dillard's are great anchor stores and have a great deal of parking. This is still one of my favorite go to shopping places...I can get a great pretzel, buy a blouse and stay out of the weather. read more

Fayette Mall has really grown, and it is really awesome! I lived in Lexington for years and would frequent Fayette Mall. Though I enjoyed the mall then, it's so much better now. They've added so many stores and restaurants, and it really feels like a larger city mall now. You can find most anything you need here in this one stop! That said, the mall is located in an area with tons of other shopping and dining. You definitely won't have a problem finding what you need if you visit this area! Unclean bathrooms, pets being allowed into stores, saw a black lab running loose in a store before, employee threw a splat ball at my service dog once which startled both me and my dog. Love this mall! I think it has all the latest stores in one area. Dillard's on one end Macy's on the other! With a little bit of everything in between . Dillard's is one of my favs for shoes and Macy's for special item clothing. Once inside the mall you can enjoy the food court after a full day of shopping and browsing or take the kiddos into the Disney store to explore or rest in there little theater section. Starbucks for a little pick me up or purchase a little tea at teavanna . There's so many stores to go in . You really need to wear your comfortable shoes and don't be in a rush because there is so much to explore. Every-time I'm in he area this is the only Mall I go to. My daughter was excited about her new Iphone. She purchased (with my money lol) an IPhone case (otter) from a stand alone business here at the mall. Well, the case doesn't fit, so three days later I took the $40 dollar phone case back to the business. I was told they would not take a return but would do an exchange. I was not happy. After a few minutes of calling another manager, they still refused to refund me. I had the receipt and original box. I went to the mall office and no one there would help. I was told I should not have let my daughter buy the case. Wow. So, I was blamed and the mall doesn't dictate store policies in the mall. I find that a little surprising. So, the business and the mall feel it's ok to screw a 12 year old girl. Very bad practice. The business is called I Accessories. They also have another store at 547 S Limestone street, Lexington, KY. I came here on a spontaneous trip to Lexington and I was pretty impressed to say the least. It's pretty generic, nothing really that special than your average mall. It does, however, offer a lot of the common chain stores. For what it looks on the outside, it did actually take me quite an it to get through this entire place. They've got different stores for different tastes, as well as a nice food court. The mall is conveniently located near many restaurants as well. Living in Louisville, I have easy access to two large malls, designer boutiques, and small shopping centers. Even so, I still look forward to carving out time on my schedule to roam Fayette Mall when life takes me to Lexington. The facility is huge! There are plenty of the usual suspects when it comes to the selection of businesses. Per the demographic of Lexington, there is a decent selection of "preppier" clothing lines, outdoor/adventure type stores, and local, handcrafted pop shops with items that I have not encountered anywhere else. The food court offers more sit-down full meal type restaurants along with the standard fast food options. If one does not feel inclined to enjoy lunch or dinner in the mall, there are an abundance of restaurants along that strip of road and even on the outskirts of the mall parking lot. Also, the building itself & mall restrooms are well kept. I have visited the mall at various times of the week/ day, and it always seems to be busy. There is ample parking completely surrounding the facility. Traffic near that area can quickly turn into a nightmare- I suggest allowing yourself plenty of time for transportation to and from Fayette Mall. read more

I was very surprised to find that Fayette Mall is not requiring shoppers to wear a mask. This prevents so many people from being able to shop there. It also makes me wonder why I ever will shop there again. If they cannot care enough for their customers to require a mask to be worn then I will not be going there now or ever most likely. This is now one of Lexington's only indoor malls. We have Hamburg too but those shops are mostly outside. Every few years Fayette Mall does an addition or construction project. The latest project update: Sears is no more, in it's place holiday 2014, will be several shops and the Cheese Cake Factory :) :) My favorite FM stores are Macy's and Apple. I'm not a mall rat. Malls and I don't get along. I'd rather shop elsewhere and avoid crazy consumerism. But sometimes, especially around the holidays, I like going to a mall just to see the holiday craziness. Yep. People-watching is fun, and I like holiday decorations. That said, I came here recently to wander and concluded that this isn't a terrible mall. It's not ridiculously crowded, and it's not nearly abandoned. It's.... just fine. Due to the sprawling one-story layout, Fayette seems huge. It is kind of big, but since it's only one sprawling level, it's pretty much an average sized mall. The stores are your usual variety of good and 'meh' stores (but why are there TWO Bath & Body Works locations??) -- you'll be able to find everything you 'need' [because you don't really need that much in life] here. Decent anchor stores (Macy's is always good), good restaurants nearby, good stores in the the plaza (the 'strip mall' nearby), and plenty of parking. Of all the malls I've been to, this has a good balance to it. It's A-OK. read more

The mall has definitely upped its game in recent years. I'm definitely glad that I no longer have to meander through Sears, and the addition of all the new restaurants (Chipotle, Newk's, PF Chang's, Travinia, whatever Abuelo's is going to be...) is definitely nice. However, parking is always a nightmare (Christmas season or not). And with a new restaurant being erected in the middle of the parking lot (BJ's Brewhouse), I don't see this getting any better. This is poor planning on the scale of Tates Creek Kroger's parking lot, but not quite as bad as CentrePit. If only they could do something about that weird smell at JC Penny's... I would give this 3.5 stars, to be honest. The traffic and parking is a nightmare but they've had a remodel since I've been in college/moved away and I'm really impressed with the stores they are able to offer now. They have some really high end stores as well as your more casual and popular stores and I think it looks much improved with the new flooring and walls, paint, etc. I'm not quite sure about the fair that is in the back side of the mall/parking lot but it seems to be too much going on at one place. read more

I'm not a big mall advocate but I do go occasionally. I wanted to call the mall today to see if a particular store is open due to the pandemic and the mall number is incorrect! It comes up both on their website and online as the same number but it's to a MASSAGE CENTER! I could not reach anyone! That's very disheartening! This is the largest mall in the city. There are always new and exciting attractions rotating in and out. Several years back, the mall added more dine in restaurants that add to the shopping experience. This mall is always busy from mall walkers to patrons choosing to eat at the food court. Love Fayette Mall because its the closest indoor mall to where we live and during winters like this when the cold refuses to let up, it's the only place we can head to. Also, they have most brands under one roof unlike Louisville where the shops are split between Oxmoor and St. Mathews. The Apple store and Express here are my go-to's. The food court is pretty decent and apart from that, they have plenty of restaurants ranging from Burger Fi to The Cheesecake Factory. The only draw back is, it can be hard to find parking on weekends, as is the case with all malls. read more

I have to say I was very impressed by this mall! In an age where going to the mall is a bit of a hassle, but Fayette Mall seems to be going strong and it is full of life! Stores are packed! Going to Fayette Mall takes me back to being a teen where the mall was the most popular place to be on the weekends. Did I mention that they have an Apple Store? (Make sure you schedule an appointment before going though.) I come here quite often but, with each passing visit, this mall seems more eclipsed by the newer places around the city. This is certainly the place to go if you need a department store and a wide variety of shops. However, the sprawling layout leaves something to be desired if you want to check out multiple places. I guess you could say there is such thing as too much of a good thing. There are almost too many shops here, which is both convenient for getting what you need but inconvenient for finding it very quickly. The restaurants here are fairly mediocre on the whole. read more
