I was driving from Nashville to Cincinnati and picked Frankfort as a place to get out of the car and walk for an hour. Not one to resist a craft store, I decided I could pop in for a minute or two. I perused the store for over an hour and left with $400 worth of merchandise. Completely Kentucky is, in my opinion, the best crafts store in the US. This is not a store where you go to "get a deal." The merchandise is priced so the artists can be decently compensated and the store can keep its lights on. That means not cheap. But coming from the left coast, I thought the prices were very reasonable. When it comes to wood and clay crafts, Kentucky knocks it out of the park. But this store features artists working in every manner of medium. Their commitment to providing a spot to as many Kentucky artists and crafts people as possible is impressive. I love this store. The day after I discovered them I started saving for my next visit. My goal is the have minimum $1000 to spend and to also bring along an empty suitcase so I can get all my loot back home. :)

This is a great place to get a gift for a female friend, a wife, a mother, a daughter, but there is cool stuff for men here, too. The owner is preservation-minded which makes me like her all the more, and the gift wrap is unique. You'll have no problem finding the store next to the Sayre School. There are always textiles hanging from the line in front to signal that M-L is open. This is the kind of store Lexington deserves. Decided to sell all big furntiture to help with moving costs and just buy new when we got to ky to go with the new home. Officially landed in ky august 3 and had gone to this store august 5th hoping to walk out with furniture. Found a bed frame and sectional/ ottoman. Was told about the back order due to covid. We get it every furniture place took a massive hit to production but was informed itd be begining of november. Fine. We need furniture, we got the credit approved through then already so we proceeded all while being told it be here by thanksgiving. Guess what... still not here and its jan 6th of a new year. I called them begining of nov for an order update, and was told at that point 4-6 weeks, were nearing the end of those additional 6 weeks. Called them today before the review and was then inform 9-11 additional weeks. YIKES If yall dont have furniture in stock, why keep selling? Catch up with all the backorder cause this is ridiculous. We contemplated several times cancelling and just ordering from somewhere else, or preferably walking out with furniture and not having to order, but as i stated the credit was ran and already billed to ashley and after the move my credit doesnt need anymore hits right now. Once i get my furniture ill update my stars to include how that itself is. Also noting, its not the stores fault this is regarding Ashley as a whole not anyone or this location specifically. Thirty days past, I stopped by the store to cancel my order. I was told it was back ordered again. I can understand the delay, but the employees from Ashley should notify the customer of the delays. The customer should not have to contact the store multiple times, to see what is holding up the order. Fortunately, I found another recliner I like better at about the same price, with a 10 year warranty and a lot more comfortable. Deli ery was set up for 3 days after purchase, and their salesperson called me twice to tell me exactly when it is arriving. I should have checked yelp for the stores reviews. I would have seen the 1.8 rating out of 5 and gone elsewhere. Unfortunately for Ashley Furniture, their rating went even lower after my review.
