The Re-Tail Thrift Shop

The Re-Tail Thrift Shop

With that I am noticing an uptick in pricing and some decor feels out of alignment now, making it too close to retail pricing for me to take it home. We always find a few things at Re-Tail and it continues to be one of our favorite thrift shops to visit. Service is friendly and welcoming, and we love the rewards program implemented. Street parking. Make sure to watch signage in J-Town that outlines restricted times.

If only I had known......!!…read more While in Jeffersontown recently, I stumbled upon this amazing thrift shop that I didn't know existed. I am all about thrift shops, especially one whose proceeds go to the Animal Care Society, a non-kill/non-profit organization that gives second chances to Louisville animals in need. I wish that I had known about this wonderful shop when we adopted a puppy last year. There are so many items for pets in the shop, and most look brand new. We could have obtained our pup's collar, harness, food/water bowls, leash, and cute sweater here for less than half of what we paid retail!! In addition to pet-related items, there are household items, home decor items, linens, toys, books, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and much more. I'm certain that there would be new treasures to see with each visit due to continuing donations. The shop is clean, odor-free and well-organized. The lady who checked us out was so very kind and told us about their program that allows for a $5 off coupon after a certain amount of purchases. This thrift shop is a hidden gem and I will be donating my items here from now on, so that I can support the animals, and I know that I will be a frequent flyer perusing the goods for that item that I didn't know I needed!

I have always loved going to this store and ladies have always been nice until yesterday. I…read moredropped off two fascinators for this store to sell. Was in store yesterday and one of my fascinator's was missing flowers. Brought to attention of ladies at checkout and very rude in response stating "well they get tried on and it could've fallen off and swept up". Ok so could these be somewhere in your store? Nope basically thrown away. Do not take your fascinators or hats here to sell as they evidently can't protect your items and attitudes are they don't care!!! Won't patronize this store now for no apology or any kind of empathy or compassion. Took my other fascinator out so that one wouldn't be destroyed. The least they could have done is apologize!

Consignments Plus is a large store of vendor booths offering furniture, home decor, seasonal items,…read moreand jewelry. Almost every booth had been displayed neatly and it was easy to browse their things and/or see the displayed prices. Several booths were reasonably priced, which had not been my previous impression and that was a nice surprise. As mentioned in my previous review, the booths also had a similar vibe - very farm house style. While I enjoyed shopping the booths, it began to feel repetitive and I didn't leave with a purchase. Service is at the front desk. Lots of good conversation with customers checking out, but no greeting coming or going. The store was warm - perhaps a broken AC in parts of the building. About midway through the store, I considered leaving because the temperature was unpleasant. This store shares a space with Kroger, restaurants and other stores. Plenty of parking.

Next to the dressing rooms is a small sales rack. Overall, a trendy spot for clothing. Smaller sizes, tight fitting, several cut outs and midriff showing pieces, and prices on the higher end. Niche spot for anyone that is looking for a unique outfit, but definitely leans toward a certain body type and age range.

But, Blush has amazing deals on their sale items. I have gotten dresses at Blush in the $11-15 range. You can't beat that for an entire outfit! Plus I have found some really cute, and comfortable, shoes on sale; including boots, wedges, and heels. If you're looking to update your wardrobe this may not be the spot, unless you have limitless funds. But, if you're looking for cute clothing to wear out, or something for a specific event (my most recent purchase from Blush was a dress for an upcoming Las Vegas trip) then this is a great shop! They also have lots of accessories, so if you're looking for something specific in that regard, or if you're in the market to pick up a gift, this is a great spot for that as well!

The first time I went I didn't have a ton of time to shop; however, it just so happened to be a Sip & Shop day and you could put your name in for prizes. Well fast forward a little and I got a message that I won a $100 gift card. Yeah me! So I went back to make find some more cute things. The store is so cute. If you're a girls girl you'll love it I promise. The staff are so friendly & helpful, but, don't give off stalker vibes. I hate that!!! So thank you for giving me space. Much appreciated. It's organized perfectly. Magnolia & Fig carries some unique brands of clothing, accessories & home decor. I chose a gorgeous summer dress, two bracelets and a necklace for my daughter. They have an awesome website to shop online and offer private shopping appointments. They're open Wednesday-Sunday. Check out their sales rack as well. I saw some great deals on cute dresses. I will definitely be going back & checking out more clothes & jewelry.
