Pretty upset with Walmart I will not be online or in store shopping there anymore! I ordered an item that was 70.00$ was suppose to be delivered lastnite by 8 pm, wasn't here by 930 before I went to bed. Woke up to a msg from a driver but the picture wasn't my apartment, so therefore I still haven't received my package and being so close to Christmas I wanted a refund or replacement if they could make it by Saturday. Waited on hold for 35 minutes just to be told I need to dispute thru my bank to have an investigation so replacement no refund nothing care in the world #walmartsucks horrible customer service and horrible way to treat your customers especially right before the holidays shame on you don't shop Walmart! Wal mart located in fern creek right by the Snyder free way. For the wal Marts In the area this is probably the nicest one when it comes to being clean and the crowd not being as rough. Lots of scary things happening at the hillview and okolona wal marts. Other than that just a normal wal mart. Workers there are hit and miss depending on how crowded and time of day. read more

They locked up $3 perfume I like to buy and $20 moisturizer. I can get the moisturizer I guess being locked up but not the $3 perfume. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk around and find an employee and they might not even have the key to open it so then you have to wait another 20 minutes for them to find someone who has a key. Locking up items that inexpensive? Never mind, I won't buy it then because after an 8 hour shift where I'm tired and hungry and need to get groceries quickly, it's not ideal for me to wait on Walmart to get me things I can easily get and pay for myself. I mean you guys are stopping and checking receipts at the door anyway so you can check my cart and receipt then and see that I bought it. Feels dystopian. read more

Walmart VS Coupons..... We are in a time where times are tough and uncertain and I stepped out of quarantine to purchase some items and was met by very rude and hostile employees. This Walmart is a 4 star if it was not for their untrained, rude, and accusing employees. Out of all of my items I picked up an air freshener that I had a paper coupon for which would have made the item free and that is not unusual. The cashier that had rung me up was very young and her name was Chelsea. Chelsea has a very strong attitude about couponers, which I only had the one and she had to get a managers approval which is not out of the ordinary because I have used coupons at Walmart before and there was minimal issues. This particular transaction was very difficult as 2 managers came over and denied the coupon saying they will only accept the picture on the coupon and did not accept overage which would have been $0.03 so I politely informed them that the fine print also states that the item I had picked was also eligible for that coupon. So I informed Urma, Gabe, and Chelsea that the coupons should work because I am informed of Walmart's coupon policy that states the following, "The coupon value will be applied to the price of an item allowing any overage to be applied to the transaction total." And I even went as far as to pull it up on my phone to show them. After showing the manager Gabe and Urma the policy from the Walmart website Gabe continued to say that they would not take it. Broken pride is more important than simply admitting inaccuracies. After Chelsea's accusation stating that I was abusing the coupon the manager Urma stepped in to take care of my transaction which did go through but the entirety of this trip Chelsea is stating that it does not make sense and that it must be wrong. After standing there for so long and letting them know that the coupon is legit and legal Urma calmly deescalated the situation and finished my transaction. My coupon scanned through without any beeping but my problem was with the employees approval. But the most important thing about using a manufacture coupon at a store is that each coupon the store makes a certain amount of money on it and the get reimbursed by the manufacture. I just wished that I could have been met with a more neutral and calm associate that did not have a disrespectful attitude. I am appalled, disheartened, embarrassed, and overall upset. I hope by this review Walmart associates will be better trained by their policies not just coupons and be more kind and respectful to their customers. read more

It's Walmart they have 500 million stores Across America so you really don't need to read my review on it but I'm just going to focus on this one in particular my family and I stop by there this evening here in Fern Creek and I want to be honest with you it's a little lackadaisy off compared to other Walmarts especially the one in Shepherdsville. The thing with this one is it's kind of dirty they have a lot of things just kind of sitting around and nobody's really up keeping it it was the day at least. And this is more of a management thing but they literally have 50 registers and 1 open so there's like 48 people stand in line for some reason I'm like a can you open some more please? I have a blast shopping at this Walmart. It's kept up a little better than your traditional Walmart and they just recently remodeled the self checkout adding a lot more registers so it definitely helps cut down large lines by A TON. The employees are typically friendly, last night I had a Mac n cheese conversation with one of the employees and she gave me a great idea for Mac n cheese! It's easy to find stuff here and from my experience they stock pretty well. If you can't find something use the Walmart app and it'll take you right there. Good times here all around! read more

I've been shopping this particular Walmart since moving back to the Louisville area in 2006. I've been partial to Walmart because of the availability of such a wide variety of items under one roof at competitive prices. I've noticed a steady decline in Walmart's customer service beginning before COVID. First, a majority of checkout lanes were removed in favor of self-checkout. I prefer to be left alone so this wasn't too much of an inconvenience to me, and actually became preferential. However, as of late, Walmart has apparently completely stopped caring about customers. It started with the reorganization of the entire store. Nothing is where it used to be, which makes my regular grocery trip take twice as long. There's no real rhyme or reason to most of it. I'm a creature of habit, and the complete jumbling of the inventory locations has caused me much undue stress, as well as physical pain (I am handicapped). Several close parking spots have been removed in favor of shopping cart corrals. Instead of adding maybe a few more handicapped spaces, they do the opposite and remove spaces from customers. The possible straw that broke the camel's back occured today. The once-orderly self-checkout is now anything but. The self checkout used to be in an oval, with an entry point and an exit point. Customers would like up at the entry point and wait their turn for an open scanner. As a scanner became available, the next customer in line would proceed to that machine and begin their checkout. There was a bank of 4 bagging stations, as well as a counter space to place bagged items. No more! Today, this once orderly system has been replaced with chaos. Checkout scanners were placed haphazardly in no particular order, with no discernable line for customers. It was basically a free for all....whatever machine becomes available was open to whatever customer was fastest. As I am handicapped, I don't move as quickly and was repeatedly beat to open scanners. It took me over 30 minutes to get to check out, whereas it took maybe 10 at most before this "improvement". I was so stressed and tired by the end of my shopping experience today that I literally sat in my vehicle and cried. If this "survival of the fittest" chaotic attitude persists at Walmart, I will have to go elsewhere. That will hurt my pocketbook, as other areas stores cost a bit more. However, my mental health is priceless. Walmart, please get your act together, for your customers' sakes. read more

I used to live in the Fern Creek area, and I would commonly shop at this Walmart Supercenter location. Since moving from the area I typically shop other locations, but when I have stopped by this location of Walmart it has been more clean than some other locations I have visited, and it has offered friendlier service. Overall I think this location is fine if you need a stop at Walmart. read more

Every time I come in here, workers are missing and when they're called, they are always moving a turtle speed. I came in today for a site-to-store pickup and four different people had to come and help me. It took forever and I had to return the half missing item they tried to give me. Three of the four didn't know to do a return. This type of customer service is unacceptable. All of the workers I ever come into contact with seem to not care. read more

Very dirty and shelves are empty, Bathrooms look like a parking lot that has just went through a wind storm. Nasty.... why can't management train and supervisor their people to make sure the customers are have the experience they should have after long day work of at home...... It all falls on the heads of the management team I said this from the beginning and I will keep saying it. Get it together!!! My wife visited your store today. She was looking for ice cream, but as I understand, you are remodeling parts of the store. She asked an employee who was taking things off the shelves in that aisle, if the ice cream could be found anywhere else. He responded by saying that instead she should be looking for a gym. She's 9 months pregnant. She was buying Ice Cream for a friend. The boy was standing with 2 other young walmart employees who stood by as did nothing. She's NINE MONTHS PREGNANT. They lied about hours of operation. I ordered items for pickup. Upon being told my items were ready, I went up to the store. I called to inform them I was there. No one answered the phone the answering service stated that department closed at 8. I was given the option to pick up my items at 9-10pm. I arrived at 9:30pm after they had confirmed that my order was ready for pickup (after being delayed). They cut the lights out in the department. I went into the store, the night manager was no help. He claimed he was unaware of what the pickup department was doing. He had no answers for me! BAD BUSINESS! read more

If you ever want some help in this understocked under polite Walmart all you have to do is go over to the bikes and pull two out even though there's might be three out and I guarantee you there will be two Associates come running and tell you that they should always be back in the bike slots even though I was going to buy a 189 00 bike that was expensive for them they acted so rude I just put the bikes back and I'll never shop there again I love the one in Okolona little rougher crowd but by golly that got plenty of stock and your treated like a person BTW I live across the street from the Fern Creek walmart....my hard earned money will be spent in okolona from here on out read more

They took advantage of a 75 year old woman and refuse to make it right. My MIL took her van in to get the oil changed and broke the dipstick and left it in the tube. They brush it off, telling her it happens all the time and they don't carry replacements, but they would give her a credit of $13 for a new one. They NEVER mentioned to her that the piece is still in there or that she needed to take it to a mechanic immediately. But the tech says he did so that's their story and are sticking to it. They refuse to take any responsibility for it and are all too happy to let a senior citizen who knows nothing about cars to take care of it and the expenses. DO NOT take your car to Walmart for anything. They have no care or compassion for anyone, just the bottom dollar. read more

At least Kroger when they screw up offer to give you a gift card, percent off whatever. I'm super disappointed because today is my day off from work and I can't get that time back. Very dirty store... Always. Rotten and moldy veggies and fruits are left in the bins of their already lacking produce dept. Added a pic of the horrid bathroom conditions yesterday. I told the staff in customer service about it, poop smeared on the floor, toilet, etc... Pads stuck on side of walls/toilet paper dispenser... They said they'd "take care of it" by finding maintenance staff. 45 min later before we left, it was still filthy, untouched except to lock that particular bathroom door. I would let my 2.5 year old pee in his pants before taking him in that bathroom. read more

I was Christmas shopping, like lots of retail stores during Christmas time, they had huge Gift card displays in the middle of the isles between the clothing section and the register. I was looking for a roblox gift card to put in one of my loved ones stocking and couldn't find it on the display between the registers. Disappointed as I knew that they carried roblox gift cards and thought maybe they were just out of stock. Well as I was leaving I noticed another gift card display where the customer service was. I looked and yay! I found a roblox gift card! I quickly grabbed one with a little gift card box and dashed to customer service. I noticed there was only one customer there and 3 employees. One was busy grabbing something from a cart, another employee was helping the ONE customer they had and the other employee was just standing there watching the other employee. I waited about 2 minutes hoping that she would see me and I decided to walk up to her and ask if I was allowed to check out there in customer service since I know they can do that. She looks at me with a hand on her hip with the most aggressive monotone voice and goes "Why couldn't you do it out there?" While looking at the very busy self check out register. I tried to explain that I managed to snag a gift card on the way out but the other employee who was helping the customer jumps into the conversation and goes " tell her she has to wait tell her" in front of me as if I couldn't tell. "The other women slowly rolls her head towards me and tells me that I need to wait. I am a very shy awkward person so when it comes to situations like this I don't know what to say. But I was very irritated as I just wanted to pay for the freaking gift card and leave. I ended up grabbing the gift card and run to the self check out where luckily I managed to figure out how to insert money on it and leave. What a horrible employee! She acted like her doing absolutely nothing and being asked a question was the worst inconvenience of her life. Terrible! read more

I'm not a huge fan of Walmart and this Walmart doesn't win any points from me either. The people who were hired to layout the store in order to get the shopper's mind to buy more only succeeded in making me frustrated. I really feel like I have to walk all over the store in such a disorganized manner in order to get all the supplies I need. No it doesn't make me want to buy more because I see more, it just makes me want to buy less so I can get the heck out of there. Every once in a while I will go to Walmart because I know the prices on certain items are cheaper or that it still carries certain brands that I like. Some cheap clothing options such as undershirts or thermal wear is something I don't mind buying here. I even bought my soccer teams sport shirts here because the price was low. This is why they get the 2nd star. They may have gotten a third star but I had an issue with an employee that led me to file a complaint. There was a day when some friends and my family went to Walmart after a dinner nearby. My daughter and her friend were looking at the jewelry section and I was standing right next to them. They weren't being loud nor trashing the place but just looking at jewelry they liked. Obviously this was the cheaper jewelry on the racks and not the more expensive ones in the glass alarmed cases. Suddenly I turn when I hear an employee yelling at my daughter's friend. As in directly yelling at her and snatching a necklace out of her hand and telling her to stop touching anything. My daughter's friend is 8 and she was putting jewelry back on the rack which was great but just not on the exact section of the rack she had gotten it from. Now I get it, kids and jewelry no matter how cheap it is sometimes doesn't mix well. Which is why I had told my child to just look and not touch. However, the employee instead of coming to the adult nearby which happened to be me ( her parents were in another section since they knew I was with the kids), took it upon herself to upset a child by directly yelling just a few inches from her face and then snatching something out of her hands. In the entire time I spoke with this employee and asked for her superior, she not once apologized nor admitted she overreacted. And guess what, we ended up buying some jewelry for both the kids that they had already picked out and placed in our shopping basket right before that incident happened. Variety isn't the greatest but this place is ok for cheap clothing, some electronics, and prices on some food is really low sometimes. But most of the time, there are better shopping options nearby. read more

This is by far the worst Walmart store I have ever shopped in. The parking lot is in shambles, the store is never stocked as it should be, the isles are plugged by employees restocking or venders doing inventory, their are never enough check out lanes open and the self check out are always broken. Today their were 5 of them broken and people lined up to check out. I have shopped this store for 9 years but will look for other stores to shop at. I have spoken to the manager a few times and he just blows it off. One day this will catch up and Walmart will fall below. Just build something else near me and that will be the end of this store. read more

Usually when I'm talking about shopping Walmart hardly ever comes out of my mouth because they don't sell the products that I like. Even when they're selling the products that I like they're cheap and break easily. I'll have to agree on some of the other reviews as well, when I use their bathrooms I can't even stay in for a minute because I can't stand the bad smell. Absolute worst Walmart I have ever been to hands down. They are all bad but this one takes the cake. I was trying to buy a simple hair dryer and decided to check the price on Amazon as I usually do. According to Walmart's own website they do price match with Amazon. I've done with many times with many other retailers with no issues but I should have know that Walmart would be different due to their extremely poor reputation. I go to check out and the lady advises me they don't price match with Amazon. I of course pointed out that according to their own website they do price match with Amazon. She then asks a manager who then tells me they don't price match with Amazon Prime. WHAT!? As anyone who shops on amazon knows you can either buy from a third party seller or buy items sold by Amazon. She stated only things sold by Amazon but not Amazon prime were eligible for price match. I told her this item was shipped and sold by Amazon and that anything shipped and sold by Amazon was eligible for prime. She stated this was untrue. Every time I would ask this lady a question about the policy she would just have the most clueless expression on her face and not even bother to respond. This lady was a manager!? How is that possible? I called customer service at corporate and that's when I realized I would never set foot in a Walmart again. The customer service rep stated she would escalate this issue to the store manager but that it would be the store managers final determination on what they price matched. I asked the lady what the official policy was and she stated that they do price match with amazon and that she did not see anything that excluded Amazon prime. She then proceeded to tell me it would take 3 days for an official response from the manager. so to sum everything up Walmart's website does not give accurate information. I wasted my time going to Walmart, picking an item, and checking out just to be told that this Walmart does NOT follow all of corporate policies. I pointed this out to the customer service rep who advised me to "call ahead" to make sure they price match. Who in their right mind would waste their time doing that? I l not only left Walmart without the item I originally came in for but also with the feeling that absolutely no one cared about this inconsistency in their policy and there was literally no one in the store who could solve this issue. I ALWAYS get amazing customer service from Amazon but this will be my last terrible experience with Walmart. Rant over :) read more

Today, Sunday morning on August 30, 2015, I asked THREE people in a row for help and, as God is my witness, not one of them could help me because they claimed not to understand English... I go to a "manager" named Pam to give that feedback, and Pam says to me (customer), "well that sounds prejudiced to me". I'm still reeling from that one. Fortunately, I found a lovely customer service person named "Sarah" who was able to help me.
