I believe this is the first time I have reviewed this store. It used to be pretty irrelevant to me,…read morebut it is on my way home and SO convenient to get in and out. The NEW makeover done to the store has made it relevant. There is a new sign out front, new front automatic door, new paint and décor and most importantly, new freezers. The old freezers had frost all over the product. I believe the prices are fair compared to the larger stores and they have great sales on meats all the time. On this particular visit I found everything I was looking for and asked two people for a price on some Armor Beef Stew in a large can since it had no price. Both people went to find a price for me and I had it in about a minute's time. The people are all very cordial and helpful at this store. There was a moderate line when I got to the checkout. One lane out of three open. A very sweet girl came by and waved me to the next lane. I thought I was having a conversation with her when she let me know she was deaf and mute. I would have felt sorry, but she was so sweet about it and could read my lips I felt good about our interaction. I am guessing her name is Nikki since that is the name on my receipt, but I'm not sure. She is very good at non-verbal communication, as she asked me if I wanted 2 liter bottles bagged or not, and pointed to a hand written note next to her register that showed, "Have a blessed day." She has the most beautiful smile and I look forward to meeting her again. I was wearing my uniform from work and Chris, the manager greeted me by my name in the lane next to me. We had a short interaction, but enough to know I like him. I hope Chris sees this review and gives props to his people. I saw another man working inside today and other times as well. He is good to bring up a conversation and very personable, whether stocking shelves or getting carts from the parking lot, which is where we talked tonight about Super Bowl. I am happy to shop at Save A Lot in Jeffersonville and pleased with the people that work there.

On Thursday October 9th at 2:53 pm I called the deli at 1027 Jeffersonville Commons dr. I placed an…read moreorder for a funeral the next day. I ordered 3 assorted sandwich platters for pickup at 2pm on October 10th. I called at 12:14pm on October 10th, spoke with the same lady, who confirmed my sandwiches would be ready by 2pm. When i arrived at 2pm, the same lady, who confirmed they would be ready, told me my sandwiches weren't available. No apology, no rushing to make them, no offer to start them, nothing. I convinced them to start the sandwiches while I spoke to a manager. As I was talking to the manager the two girls in the deli were just standing there listening to us. I politely turned around and asked if they could start my sandwiches. One girl went to get to get the bread and the other continued to stand there. Admitting that she confirmed the order and didn't make it with no explanation as to why. The manager was as shocked as i was, she went to the back and came out with 3 sandwich platters. The deli lady said they were for a door dash and they weren't the same sandwiches I ordered. Noticing that my sandwiches weren't going to be made in time, I told the manager I would take them. I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received from the deli. They were in no way busy, when I walked up they were so busy talking they didn't even acknowledge i was standing there. And then to not apologize and rush to make the sandwiches. I was stunned. I left that day with 3 platters of ham, turkey and cheese on a butter roll instead of the assorted sandwiches I ordered. No apology, no discount, not even a have a great day.

Too many "markets" in Louisville are nothing more than a bad version of 7-11, a place to pick up a…read morecase of Keystone Light and possibly a serving of broaster chicken. At Webb's you can get your dry goods, but otherwise it's a very pleasant departure from that model. First and foremost, there is the deli counter in back and the lunch patio. They serve both breakfast sandwiches as well as deli sandwiches. If you pick up your breakfast or lunch to-go, they make everything to order and it's always very quick. Deli smoked sausage sandwich? $2. Country fried steak sandwich? $3. Biscuits 69 cents. Hot wings, beans, chili, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cornbread. Want a can of beer with your lunch? That's $1. Webb's is also reasonably stocked with decent produce, which is great since there is no supermarket in Phoenix Hill. So if you want to pick up a couple of tomatoes or onions or bell peppers, you generally can count on getting them here. Webb's received a federal grant to provide equipment and support to carrying healthy items as part of the city's "Healthy in a Hurry" program, and this is the result. (The last time I looked in the produce section, they did have a bunch of girl scout cookies stuffed in there as well, but hey, you need to wash down that lettuce with something, no?)

So its a basic market, nothing fancy, selling everything from dish soap to chicken broth, but in…read morethe back they have a counter for plate lunches and sandwiches. For TWO DOLLARS (yes kids, not a typo) you can get yourself lunch. You will want to pony up an extra dollar though, for cheese (50 cents) and "dressing" i.e. lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc (50 cents). Still, even with chips and a drink, that's a five buck lunch. And where can you get that kind of a deal anymore?? I got a turkey sandwich, with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard on wheat bread. And I'll tell ya, its nothing sophisticated but it was pretty darn good. I would definitely come back - they had fried chicken and fried cod that looked delicious! Oh one other thing - Webb's does accept credit cards, but you need to have at least a ten dollar purchase, otherwise they add 25 cents onto your bill. Maybe you care about that, maybe not. Just thought I would put it out there.
