The store is filthy and they let dogs in there. There should never be dogs in a grocery store where there's food. I've complained more than once about that and the managers don't seem to care and neither does the health department so the only option I have is to never shop there again read more

Item selection way down, so not as many choices. Pharmacy has what seems like 20 people working , yet waiting line stretches like a Taylor Swift concert. Arizona Tea gallon jugs can take 4 months to get back in. Their supply lines are poor. Electronics dept sucks with no one covering . I really don't like their Nazi checkout tactics either . They are trying to do away with cashiers at checkout by only having one checkout lane open . So you wait 2 hours or you check yourself out. The problem is they never have sales prices right and you lose if in self checkout . Turnover is high because they don't pay enough to keep the better workers. I am sure if and when Robots can stock shelves , Meijer will be the first chain to do it. I miss Winn Dixie. I hear they are making a comeback , so maybe we will see one of their stores here again. read more

This is a really terrific store. Extremely clean, and a great selection. A great place to get just about everything you need.

Out of towner here. I wanted to stop at a grocery store late at night for some snacks. Kroger closes at 10pm in the area. Meijer was next on the list. They close at 12am. Awesome! This is like a bootleg WalMart in a good way, of course. Clothes, electronics, and even a liquor section. If I lived in this area, I would definitely shop here at least once a week. Nice to have an alternative to Walmart around here. read more

Because of where we were located in KY, when we searched for Meijer, the closest one was in Indiana, so we crossed over state lines to go grocery shopping! I grew up shopping at Meijer. So this was a welcomed norm for me. We went in and grabbed some fresh pineapples and salmon. Everything looked so good. The store was clean. They sanitized the buggies. Most stores no longer do this. And usually, I do not use public restrooms, but the restroom was very clean too! The lines weren't long at all so we were in and out in a matter of moments. Great shopping experience! read more

Second time I've been in the Jeffersonville In store recently. Only 1 service lane open all others are self serve. Both times I've come I've had a cart full. I will NOT be going back. Ise their app every time you shop and after a few hundred bucks they give you 5.90-10.00 off your next order. Take that and out in your pipe Kroger! They do not charge you 50 cents for you to take out money on your Debit Card like Kroger does. Its friday...they still have a great deal on fried chicken but there is none ready. When i asked the cook she responded "im trying to cook it but im the only one here" i said that is fine i will wait. She answered back that it will be 30 minutes. So went shopping around. The prices are way too high, the loyalty program I signed up for didn't even work when I tried using it, and recently I had an emergency where I had 10 minutes till close, I was turned away even though I knew exactly where the item I needed and could quick check myself out but nothing I said made a difference. Oh my gosh I came in here about ten years ago when I came into town to visit a friend. He kept going on about the place and how great it was. I'm from the Kansas City, MO area and had never heard about this store. My friend had reason to boast and brag that he had a cool store to shop at and I didn't. The only thing near me is a Target and a Wal-Mart. I have longed to have Meijer move into our area. We need it bad, and I hear they treat and pay their employees decently too! Meijer had food, clothing, and furniture and so much stuff that if Target and Wal-Mart joined together they would still be put to shame. I can't imagine how the South can keep this like the best kept secret. Will someone from Meijer please contact me and tell me if you are doing anything to get out to the Missouri/Kansas area? I have always loved Meijers. They have everything I need quick stop shop. HOWEVER, I think what reflects badly, unprofessional and poor customer service is the team in the early mornings. All they have open is the self service counters and this morning I had 4 yes FOUR employees standing by me as I scanned a large cart full of items. I do not understand why one of them could not open a lane to get me through. There was no room hardly to put my items on and they could clearly see I was struggling. I know that it is possible to open a lane because months ago a gentleman did and stated he could tell I had a large purchase and may need some assistance. I think it is very unprofessional to see a group of employees just talking and laughing while you have a customer that could at least use help bagging OR OPEN A LANE. Again, I love Meijers- I will continue to go but they need to focus on customer service in the early mornings when people have large purchases and are off to work. read more

Horribly designed website - I have searched for an item and then if I select pickup it asks me to login, but I don't have an account nor do I want to create one yet. When I click the x to close this pop-up it brings me back to the Meijer main menu and my search is gone (thank you browser history). Searched doormats and got 3 results. When I search the maker/vendor/brand I'm given 130 results - not sure how this algorithm works. In-person stores also carry more variety and options of products than online. This is also a questionable algorithm and/or business practice. I would like to ship this item as my vehicle is too small to transport it home. The online ordering for the Meijers in Jeffersonville, Ind is a complete and utter joke, and when I contacted the store manager that was an even bigger joke. Any excuse they can come up with and always want to place the blame on everyone except were the real real problem lies. Been a loyal customer for well over 25 yrs and really expected better customer service than what I received. Only reason you got a 1 star in your rating is due to a negative rating of less is not option able. Dawn T is horrible. Her customer service skills are extremely lacking. She is rude and when I asked for her name she shoved her name plate in my face (that was hidden on her shirt so you could not see it until requested) and I heard her speaking about me to another employee as I was walking away to exit. Just for the record, I am not a "fat b***h", I am pregnant and that is extremely uncalled for and unprofessional. I simply did not like your behavior directed towards me and will be speaking to upper management tomorrow. All other employees seemed to be helpful. Thank you to the associate who apologized to me on behalf of Dawn's very rude behavior. I guess once you become apart of management (as Dawn T stated she was and I can shop elsewhere) it tends to go to your head and you treat customers rudely. read more

Overall it is a good store. Fresh produce, but I do not like the meat too much, too pricey and not a good looking quality in my opinion. I also worked here for 4 years and I felt the same way then, lol. They do carry my Jack Daniel's pulled pork in the deli meat section, They do have their 10 for 10 and good deals around the store on a weekly basis at times. Cereal aisle and the toilet paper aisle has been half empty the last 2 or 3 times I have been in too, it used to always be filled up when I was the grocery team leader and before that. We always kept it stocked at all times, I know Meijer is big in to satisfying their customers and definitely making sure weekly ad items are fully stocked at all times. I like Meijer . The produce and grocery section is wonderful , but very expensive . I basically almost double my grocery bill when I come to Meijer . Unless they have 10/10 sales or something . Even the items that are not brand name or food items are also very expensive . On the plus side it is very clean and the staff is very welcoming . read more

I live behind the store and usually walk u there a few times a day, however on the 8th of January, 2019 I was mugged on the store property and the guy took my wallet. The police caught the guy with some of my property on him. The bad thing is more than one resident has told me they also faced muggings at the store in the same spot. The store needs to have better security for its customers. My mugging took place in broad daylight at 230 in the afternoon. Be careful that this store read more

I like Meijer - it's kinda an in between Walmart and say...Target. When your po' Meijer is the poor man's Target. That's the way I like to think of it. Quality items that do not break in a week, better quality vegetables - you can notice a huge difference. Only trouble I see with Meijer - is Kroger - their veggies are still better, and their selection is much bigger on organics (Meijer carries their own organic line) - but Kroger lures you in, lurking in the wings with that 10 for 10 stuff. Wow, when you're on a tight budget - they can really get cha with that stuff...especially if you need 10 of it! :p lol. When we lived in a small town - I knew an older lady who was a greeter for Meijer, I also knew a customer service rep or commonly known as a (CSR) at Walmart - several of them in fact, and a bunch of cashiers and a few baggers at Kroger...and what speaks to me more than the quality of food - I'll step off my soap box here in a sec, but I think it should be duly noted - that I never heard Meijer employees complain. Now that could mean they wore hidden shock collars under their uniforms, I don't know. Lol. But it just seemed that the atmosphere at Meijer was and is so much different from stores of it's genre. It's a bit pricey for me to shop there for household items, unless I know someone else doesn't carry it, but try as I might - I try very hard to budget Meijer into our food budget. Even down to their milk - it is better. It just seems to me Meijer has a better philosophy about what it is going to sell to it's customers. AH - yes - there's a better analogy - like Whole Foods for moderately poor people. :-) But I think if I did have all the money in the world to budget for food, I'd probably still shop at Meijer. They have an extensive international section, a great vegetarian section, and their organics don't break your bank. Although even if I were rich - I'd shop there even more because then I could afford the rest of the stuff in the store and I could truly become a one-stop shopper! :-p lol. read more

The meijers perks is nothing to be excited about since they changed it. I don't even put my information in anymore because it just says I have nothing special at this moment. Why have it then??? I normally do not write bad reviews especially since covid-19 started. I appreciate all of the associates that show up to work so I can get supplies that I need. That being said. When I visit the Jeffersonville location 90% of the associates I encounter are super nice. However I am seeing some trends that are concerning. Here are a few. I should add that these behaviors have happened multiple times. Everytime I visit and wish to ask a question or purchase items from the electronics department i am either waiting a long time for an associate (last visit was over 15 minutes) or no one showing up at all. My last visit after waiting 2 associates appeared in the department carrying items to stock. I commend them for making sure there is product and again showing up to work during this time. I approached them to ask my question about an item. One gentleman simply said I can't help you and walked by me. The second said simply "yes". This took me back a bit, but he seemed busy. So we walked over the counter where I was looking for a speaker (not a cheap one btw). He was very short and seemed like he couldn't be bothered. His glares as he opened the case and shortness in his answers almost stopped me from purchasing the item. I love the convenience of the location and the 90% of the associates that are very pleasant. However if things continue I will take my business somewhere else. I know it's not a monumental but I spend $600-$1000 a month average. Just wanted to get this off my chest read more
