The selections at this Costco are 5star. They seem to always have the higher quality meats and fish selections. Costco remains the industry leader in value for warehouse memberships. I love Costco. Most of the time I can get in and get out with what I need. I use the self service checkout to get done. I love self checking. It is good people watching. Never a dull moment when you go there. It's funny to watch people wait for the tastings. There were actual lines for various tasting. I have been disappointed the last few times they haven't been carrying stuff I like. I try not to bitch and complain but it's frustrating. Still over all a good place to go. Optical center is the most incompetent mess ive ever had glasses done at, and absolutely never, never bring an outside pair of frames to them, or they'll charge you 25 dollars plus the cost of the lenses, to not put lenses in, and then on top of that completely destroy your frames like they did with my randolphs. This review concerns ONLY Costco TIRES. Over 4 years ago I bought a set of Bridgestone Turanza Quiet Track tires. They were supposedly premium tires with an 80,000 mile tread wear warranty. I've had these rotated religiously at Costco, so they have my records. We do not drive many miles annually. The tires currently have only 31,000 miles on them and they're down to 5/32 tread. Tire shops suggest you replace tires at 4/32. At my last rotation, I told the gentleman that wrote my service order that I'm concerned how thin my tires are with only 31,000 miles. They're supposed to be 80,000 mile tires. I was told they would check them when they rotate them. While I was shopping awaiting my car, the tire manager called me. He said he checked my tires and yes they are wearing, but there's nothing he can do for me. He went on to say Bridgestone requires the tires to be almost bald before they will consider replacing them. He went on to explain my tires are over 4 years old so my warranty has expired. Basically I have no warranty of any kind after 4 years. These will be my last Bridgestone tires and my last set of any tires from Costco. read more

This Costco is nice and clean. Even the bathrooms were clean. I do want to spotlight this lovely woman. She was either the dairy manager or food manager. My friend needed the no brand baby formula and couldn't find it. She asked the nice lady with the computer in her hand if she knew if they had it. The lady said she believed they were out but to ask up front. We were up front later about to check out when she found us and let us know they were out. That was so sweet of her. This is for the Tire Center specifically. Last week, I called ahead and as told a time to come in. When I get there, another service person stated that I had to make an appointment just for them to look at a tire. Make the appointment, a week later, and even get to the appointment an hour early. I was told it would only take 30-45 minutes. It took 3 hours! Thank goodness that I decided not to buy groceries this time because that would have been another disaster! Then, the young girl at the desk refused to make eye contact with me when I asked her several times about how long it would be. I wasn't rude about it but I was with an anxious and autistic child while I was there. It took so long that she walked away from me at the desk and went grocery shopping in the store herself! And didn't even acknowledge me when she returned. Got my car at 8:15 after receiving a call from another tire serviceman. When she got to the desk, I had to tell her that they called to tell me it was ready. When i asked to speak to a manager, I was told no one was there. It was by far one of the worst experiences of customer service with Costco. I for sure wouldn't come back if I didn't purchase our tires there. read more

Get to store 15 minutes ahead of my appointment as the confirmation email told me. Only to find out they don't work on Land Rovers because of the air suspension. Don't take the appointment then! They even tell you when it will be closed--and then don't do what they said and close it earlier instead. Rude attendants. Not all Costco's are created equal. You've heard of Super Walmarts and Baby Walmarts will this is the same. The Costco that I loved and was accustomed to shopping in the Bay Area of California was a big Costco warehouse store. This location is what I would call a Baby Costco. I originally thought I didn't get the full picture when I shopped this store last year with my husband. We had purchased an Executive membership in anticipation of buying our Buick Enclave and saving on the purchase with the Costco Auto Purchase program. Part of the benefit of that program is getting a $700 Costco shopping card. This past week I decided to shop this Costco leisurely on my own so I could really see the whole store and find out what it has to offer. My observations were the following. If you're disabled and need a motorized cart good luck! I think the store may have a couple. The store does appear to have plenty of OTC personal care and medicine items in the large corner in front of the prescription counter. They also have a shop for hearing aids that apparently takes appointments and walk ins. The non perishable food items are very limited. The refrigerated area for groceries is also much smaller than I had hoped. The traditional walk in produce room is almost non existent. The meat area and the packaged deli meats is also extremely limited. So as far as doing a grocery shopping trip I failed miserably. If I had wanted to go clothes shopping there were some options. The book selection was fairly decent if you're in the 5 - 12 year old range. If you were in the market for a full size piano you're in luck along with the gentleman that spent his afternoon playing old time tunes while demonstrating the different features. I will shop Costco probably more online to spend my Gift Card. As for groceries I am sold on Sam's Club in Louisville KY.. read more

Who doesn't like Costco? They have nearly everything you could want; food, clothes, electronics, home improvement tools, gas, access to contractors and of course you can buy a vehicle through them. The liquor store is attached, and always has great options for competitive prices. Additionally, I prefer this location for the slight difference in selection I have found here versus other locations. The obvious comparison to make is with Sam's Club. Many people throw them into the same conversation, as if they're equal or the same place. Everyone has different needs, but my preference is certainly Costco. While Costco may lack in some of the pre-packaged selection of name brand baked goods and pastries, they more than make up for it in other categories. I have always found the quality of produce and meat at Costco to be a notch above that of Sam's. Also, if you prefer organics, you're more likely to find those at Costco in my experience. The prepared items at Costco are excellent quality and flavor. We recently had a couple pastas, and were quite impressed. Lastly, the coffee selection is great, and some of the best out there. Try the single origin options, or Cameron's brand if you can find it. read more

Not sure what her issue was but it felt as if she was going out of her way to ignore us. Finally a different associate came to help us. I laughed a little when he shot her a look. This store needs more motorized wheelchairs. There are four chairs and often there are long waits for them. A store like Walmart which is half of the size of Costco with far less people, maintains 12 wheelchairs. Great warehouse store. Memberships can be had for as little as $50 per year, and for what I save in gas (typically their stations are.20 cheaper than most places) it pays for itself. On top of that, can grab a quick lunch (not healthy.. it quick) on the cheap in $1.99 slices of pizza or my favorite then $1.59 jumbo hot dog and soda. Liquor store is open to the public, and has good deals on a variety of wines and spirits. Tire shop usually has good deals on new shoes for your whip or family truckster, so be sure to shop them when looking for new ones. Could prob pay for your membership on what you would save! I've been a member of Sams before, and prefer this warehouse over theirs due to variety of goods, food options for lunch, as well as proximity to mi casa and work. This was my first (and probably my last) visit to the Costco off Brownsboro. I've been a Sam's Club member for years, but decided to check out Costco after accepting a job close by. I read online that you can walk in without a card and walk around the place to see what you think. This is what I intended on doing... I walked in and was immediately "greeted" by Jim with a demanding "membership card". I explained that I was a prospective member, here to walk around and check out some prices. He rudely said, "Well, you're gonna need permission or something from membership." His facial expression was awful. After that I spoke with a super nice lady who explained all of the benefits and sales that come along with Costco. Had SHE greeted me at the door, I'd be a member already. The last time I was in Costco I was about 17 years old. This place is amazing. They have just about everything. The moment I walked in I felt like a kid in a candy store and an electronic store lol. In order to go in you have to have a membership. Off course the membership cost. Below you'll see the price as follows: Membership Gold Star / $60 this comes with one free household card for anyone over the age of 18. Gold Star Executive / $120 which is their highest level. You get everything the Gold Star Membership gets plus an annual 2% reward up to $1000 on qualified Costco purchases. They also have business accounts also: Business Member / $60 which has the same features from gold start Business Executive / $120 that allows you to do all the above and purchase for resale. Costco is one of my favorite places to shop and where I can easily spend a lot more than anticipated. I mostly shop at this location over the Bardstown Rd location. I find both locations to be great. It's going to be very difficult for me to say anything negative about Costco. I've held my membership from GA to TX and now in KY. Although I don't have a house full of people, I still find it smart to shop at Costco for the discount and bulk items: tires, prescription eyewear, optometrist exams, toilet paper, towel paper, dairy, meats & seafood that can be broken down and placed in freezer, cleaning products, frozen berries, protein powder, vitamins, canned goods, bread (you can freeze the other loaf), etc...I can go on and on and on. As I've come to expect and am accustomed to with Costco overall, the employees are nice and very helpful. The store (including the restrooms) are always clean, the process getting in and out is fast, shopping carts are ALWAYS available, check out process is usually pretty fast, and the $1.50 great tasting hotdog and soda deal is always something to look forward to! The only negative - I know I said I wouldn't have any, but I did think of this one - which is actually quite funny is you just have to be on the defense with your fellow shoppers. People don't play when push-driving those oversized carts and don't think you can relax once you get outside - sometimes it's worse. People cross and walk the parking lot like the entire lot is painted with the Pedestrian Crosswalk design and they are wearing bumpers around their bodies. I've seen it and experienced it at every Costco I've ever visited - it's crazy, insane, and comical at times. But in the end I love me some Costco read more

There are a multitude of handicapped parking spaces but only 4 riding carts are available. I have yet to be able to take my elderly father with a newly replaced knee shopping. Staff member named Dawn was exceptionally condescending and rude to customers. An elderly lady was struggling to hear her request for her membership due to the masks and plastic barrier. Each time she asked for the lady's card she got more irritated. Eventually the second helper stepped in and relayed the question and then the lady heard her. Really poor attitude to have towards someone who may have hearing issues due to age. She was also gruff towards me. Offered no greeting but had no issue pointing and rudely telling me to grab my receipt. I'm well aware Covid has put a strain on everyone however that's no excuse to provide poor customer service. read more

I am so impressed that Costco offers home delivery through Instacart! I've been able to send fresh food, salads, veggies and other supplies to two different home bound relatives, one in Louisville, and one on the edge of Oldham County. Even frozen meals, deli items, cut flowers, and hand soap! The same-day grocery prices are priced slightly higher so that they can pay their instacart shoppers a decent wage, love it & (there is no added delivery charge). They've been on-time and even ice cream treats arrived in great shape. I live so far out myself that no pizza delivery Is available. Costco delivery, understandably, doesn't deliver to me here, but I have placed orders at work and take the items home. Every Instacart shopper/driver has been polite and helpful. read more

So, Costco usually nails it with regards to their products and customer service. This doesn't seem to apply to their food court and the supervisors responsible for food quality. I ordered their frozen yogurt swirl, which is supposed to be vanilla frozen vanilla and açaí yogurt swirled together. The vanilla yogurt is of course supposed to be white, not yellow as my picture shows. When it was served to me I questioned the server and she said they were aware of problems with their machine, and that it shouldn't effect the taste. Well, that definitely was not the case. I of course asked for a refund, and asked that they should stop serving it because it tasted bad, and might make someone ill. I went to the office when I didn't appear to be getting through to the front end folks. There I was met with an explanation that while they were aware of an equipment problem, they saw nothing wrong with the product. I didn't feel a sense of urgency from anyone I spoke to and I felt like I was being brushed off. I did get my money back, but I am left with a feeling that the folks in the office should put a sense of urgency into customer complaints of obvious food quality issues. read more

We love Costco and so do the kids. Seems they always give out samples of various things every time we are there. They always have such a courteous and friendly staff. I think part of that is a result of how well Costco treats their employees, or so I've heard. Costco always has good prices and carries everything we need. They also guarantee everything they carry. If you buy it and don't like it or something is wrong with it, they go out of their way to make it right or refund your money. I also encourage the use of the Costco credit card as you get 2% cash back on Costco purchases and 4% on all fuel purchases. It adds up quick, might as well get something back on your purchases rather than using cash or bank debit card. They also have a liquor store with great prices and a fuel station with the best prices in town! read more

Having a Costco membership is a staple of being a basic white person, which is something I aspire to being. Costco has a wide array of great products, fresh produce, a decent butcher, a bakery, and they have excellent pizza for the money. I also like the hot dogs and a soda for $1.50. I am not yet a member, but I had a friend let me tag along for a visit and let me take advantage of her membership. I had originally planned on just buying bulk paper goods (toilet paper and paper towels). I got those and am set for probably 5 months if not more! And then I got sucked in to the produce section....the fruits looks exceptionally delectable, so I got a bunch of fresh fruit. If my friend brings me back with her, fruit is where it's at, and also I could get some veggies! I also got some frozen breakfast sandwiches that are friendly to my diet, snacks/munchies, and bread thins. I spent a lot more money than I intended, but these things will last me a long time and came at a pretty great price! I had to say no to some things just because of the size of my freezer and pantry.
