If you are looking for fast soul food, this place deserves a try. Some of my former co-workers…read morespoke about this place repeatedly regarding the quality, quantity, and value of the food. I agree with their rave, however, my lunchtime experiences were not the best. I would often stop to pick up lunch on my way to work, and there was often a line of customers who apparently had the same idea. The staff did not serve with a sense of urgency. The customers didn't seem to mind, which is unfortunate because that implies acceptance of the level of service. I haven't been in a while, but I hope they improvement the customer care & service because their food is really good.

Unbelievably Cheap! I expected to see Going-Out-of-Business signs posted somewhere…read more A notable example, Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cheerios were their doorbuster cereal at a dollar per box. I was next door and remembered I needed onions and salad. Ignore the 60's era design and decor motif, it's actually clean and orderly in there. They offer a lot of store brands and not very much produce, but they had organic spring mixes, two carton options of them, both on sale for a dollar each. And they expired in three days just like all kinds of other salads out there, not a reduced-for-quick-sale offer. My three pounds of onions were $2.50, perfectly acceptable price range. Note that these people compete with Dollar Tree and Dollar General next door and across the street. This means that both have arranged for limited access to much smaller sizes on brand name household supplies like Tide and Dawn dish soap, so they can charge more per ounce but set the overall price lower. It's called predatory pricing, and since the Jimmy Carter administration and then Reagan especially we haven't enforced New Deal era laws requiring wholesalers to offer the same terms to all buyers. The result is dollar stores sit with a store full of trashy food (and WalMart junk) but offer a seeming discount on essentials that many find pricey. I'm making it a point to shop for a few items there as it's closer, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a handful of their door busters most the time too. The cheerios were especially tempting today.

I recently went in for a few items. The first issues I always have is with the parking lot. The…read moredrivers are the worse so it makes the start of the experience stressful. Usually customer service has an extremely long line. I think there should be at least three employees in the area. I stopped by the Starbucks to get a drink during most visits. That's usually a positive experience and they get my order correct. When I shop, I'm looking for specific items on my list. I go in and grab those items. The lines vary but usually are pretty long. The self service is usually just as long but can move faster. Depending on the items and my level of patience determines which aisle I use. The staff is friendly overall. They usually do the bagging and assist in loading your items, if there is a bagger. My overall experience as been good. The traffic both in and outside of the store is usually what deters me from stopping at this location. I will be back again.

This place is so poorly managed it is ridiculous. Half the time they don't even have carts for…read moretheir shoppers to use. They force their customers to self-checkout so they can pay less workers, and the useless fat management can make more money and do nothing. The poor underpaid baggers, if you are lucky enough to get one, consistently try to avoid bagging product, even though that is their job. There have been many times we have had to wait over 20 minutes just to use the self-checkout. Prices keep going up and the quality of "service" goes down and down. AVOID if possible!

Having a place like Wasserstom Restaurant Supply in the Cincinnati area is really nice and…read moreconvenient. They stock a lot of the industrial supplies restaurants need..and it's super convenient when you're in a pinch and need something quicker than the normal couple day delivery window most online retailers require. I went here because I was in need of an industrial sized can opener. The one at my work was so old and literally snapped in half..and it was beyond awful to have to use a hand cranking one when trying to open large cans all day. I went online and saw that they offered the one I was looking for at a pretty reasonable price. I headed out to the store on a random weekday afternoon. The place was a bit tricky to get to..it's off an exit, but then you have to go down kind of a little side road that, at one point, turns into a single lane road. A little annoying but not a big deal. The place wasn't busy when I arrived, one of the associates there immediately came up to me and asked what I needed help finding. I showed her the picture I had screenshot from the website of the can opener, and she knew exactly what it was and took me right to it. The price listed for the item was about $20 more than was listed online. I pointed this out to the associate, and she said that they would gladly price match the online price..so that was cool. We went to the registers, she rung me out after adjusting the price, and I was on my way. In and out in less than five minutes. So yeah, totally easy transaction, extremely helpful employee, and a vast inventory of all the restaurant style industrial items you could think of..at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this place for these purposes and I will for sure be back in the future when the need arises.

Oh man... I've never considered purchasing a tiny deep fryer for my home kitchen before now... but…read morethis store made me aware of this need. No, I do not own a restaurant... but I am an overly ambitious home chef. There used to be a cute little kitchen supply store in Kenwood, but since they closed down I've been looking for somewhere that was not SLT. This is that place. Practical tools for every day use, and not at the bloated prices of SLT. Plus you can daydream about owning your own deep fryer while wearing a chef's uniform and getting sugar cubes out of a spherical container...
