The amount of anti-theft measures is understandable but also a little much. I understand if it were perfume or expensive items but locking $6 deodorant behind an anti theft device is crazy. And then the self checkout kept flagging a staffer and there were none around and the one at the other checkout just.. couldn't do it? So just not great. read more

This location is completely pathetic. Sign says they are open till midnight . No at 11:50 pm they stop letting people in. They tell you they are closed . Funny sign said midnight. Then they are rude and threatening about it. Plus employees are just plain nasty and incompetent. read more

Located next to my hotel, so I went a purchased a few items when I arrived. They were out of several items I the cooler, many empty shelves. If you want alcohol you need to find an employee, because it is all locked up, good luck with that. On my second trip for more beer, I told the employee what wanted and it was brought to the counter for me to pay. Later that evening, when I tasted the beer, something was not right, it was only then that I realized that the cans were two years out of date. If you shop here, be sure to check expiration dates. I was in the line to checkout and the cashier ignored the lady in front of me on purpose and told me to come up. When the lady kept asking why the cashier would not serve her the cashier would still not acknowledge her. It didn't seem that the lady had done anything so I was really confused. I was definitely uncomfortable being dragged into the situation and thought the cashier was extremely unprofessional. read more

I've been here a few times while downtown for work, and it's always served me well for that purpose. Yes you're going to pay more and yes it's smaller than most CVS locations since it's downtown -- just like a hotel convenience store, they know they can get away with higher prices, and sometimes you're just in a position where you're paying for convenience. Other than that, it's a pretty run of the mill CVS. I've always been able to get in and out pretty quickly with self checkout, and never really had a problem finding necessities and some little snacks. It gets the job done! read more

While on vacation I went into this CVS. I paid and left, accidentally leaving my wallet at the register. A few minutes later I noticed I had left my wallet there. I went back to retrieve it only to have the CVS employee return it to me with no cash inside any more. She made up some story about a "white man" turning in my wallet with no cash in it. I called the cops and the cameras confirmed the CVS employee stole the money from inside my wallet. Awful, just awful. I hope she gets fired and prosecuted. Time will tell. read more

PRICE HIKE!! The prices for items in this store are higher than similar items in Target! And I think it's a location and proximity price increase because they are located near hotels. Don't shop here unless you absolutely have to! Everything is $5-$10 more than a CVS away from here. read more

Went here tonight for a few items and it was the same ole CVS but this one needs an upgrade. This one is located on the corner of Fourth Street Love and you would think it would be in much better condition...think again. Not only that but the cashier, Sharon was not very pleasant. She didn't seem like she wanted to help anyone and wasn't very personable, which is a huge pet peeve of mine for people in customer service. She was more concerned about what the manager was doing then making sure the customers felt welcomed. CVS is also one of the stores where it is packed with everything and everything is hard to find. I work downtown, within walking distance of this CVS Pharmacy; so, my co-workers and I walk here often to pick up snacks, small gifts for the office, or wine. I have always been able to find what I was looking for at this CVS and I have always received friendly service. Sometimes the lines do get backed up, but I usually opt to self-checkout to avoid having to wait. They usually have a great holiday selection of candy, so I find myself here purchasing Valentine's, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas items throughout the year. Though their prices are a bit higher than Walmart or Target, the convenience of this location to my office sometimes make shopping here easier. If you're in the area and need something small, like toiletries, snacks, beverages, or a small gift you'l probably be able to find it at this CVS. read more

I was a guest at the Embassy Suites Hotel and needed to get sandals for my older aunt because her shoes were hurting her feet. We went to the CVS (located inside the hotel) in search of some cheap sandals. As we walked the aisle, I noticed that a security guard was following us. While my aunt browsed the sandals, the security guard stood two feet away from us and watched us. I don't like to jump to conclusions, so I waited a minute before saying "excuse me, sir, is there something that we are doing that warrants you following us and then hovering over us while we shop." He replied, "I'm just doing my job." I said, "I don't know anyone who appreciates being hovered over as they shop. We have not engaged in any conduct that warrants your actions." This was such a disappointing experience. If my aunt did not really need the sandals, I would not have given that store any of my money. This security guard was obviously racially profiling us. What a great welcome to Kentucky. Can't wait to get back to my "bubble" in NYC. I have been a long time CVS customer in NYC, but after this experience, I will no longer shop CVS again. read more

This CVS is convenient if you are working or staying downtown, in fact it's pretty much your only choice in the immediate area. It's large enough to have an adequate supply of a variety of essentials, and it even has a small Louisville/Kentucky souvenir section. read more

I'm going to keep this short. It is rare to get in and out of here quickly. The likely scenario is that one or more of the automated registers are out of order or abandoned, with no ability to reset or remove the item that was scanned. The cashiers are generally talking to each other while checking out customers and people are piling up in line. I have walked in on numerous occasions and left due to a long wait. My advice is to hold out for a different store, or hope you get really lucky. This is a critical issue, and they will lose business when the Omni store opens. read more
