I don't go to Walmarts because they are too crowded and check outs are a real pain with long lines. This location is the exception to all the rest of them. It is spotless, very large, and the easiest to move around in because of the extra spacing between the rows. Very well thought out. It holds more merchandise than other Walmart stores too. A big plus in my book. It's fun to shop here every time. I overlook any flaws it may have. read more

The greeters are wonderful. Help while in the store is non-existent. I've run across crushed boxes, cookie packets that have been opened, raided and closed again, moldy fruit, and things that don't ring up as they're marked. When I've ordered for delivery online I've been brought rotten, crushed, damaged, opened and incorrect items too many times to count. I don't shop here anymore; there are at least four very good grocery stores within two or three miles. read more

On a recent visit to this Walmart we decided to check out the Wine & Spirits shop attached to the business. I was looking for a hard-to-find mixer (a specific brand of ginger beer) and thought that a Wine and Spirits shop my be a great place to find one. We got done with our Walmart (proper) shopping, walked out the door and headed to Wine and Spirits on a Friday (January 6, 2023) to find the door locked. I checked my watch...it said 8:15 pm. The sign on the door said its open hours were 7am to 11pm. I looked at my watch again and, sure enough, 8:15pm on a Friday they should be open....but they weren't. No sign on the door, no Post-It® note saying "Back in 10 minutes", nothing. Just a locked door. And with that my one visit to this Walmart Wine and Spirits wasn't a visit at all...just a disappointment and a promise that the next time I'm in need of something they may have I will 100% take my business elsewhere. read more

Walmart super center located in the Middletown portion of Lousiville Kentucky off catch crowded and business heavy Shelbyville road. This on the outside and really on the outside is what I call a "fancy" wal mart. They have a patio area with greenery in the middle of parking lot. The have nice benches out in front of the store. Inside they keep the store pretty clean. Like any wal mart the service is hit and miss but I feel like this center puts more effort in because it is in a popular area and there are several other competitors and options literally lurking around the corner. I personally don't mind wal mart locations. They will have a good sale and locations like this that has a Grocery and take some pride in the work and appearance makes it a much better experience. I have to say this is the worse store to deal with for any issues! I placed an order online yesterday and the Walmart van rode by and did not stop. In a few minutes I got an email stating they could not deliver. I called the store was put on hold , I hung up after sitting there for 17 minutes. Called back to talk to manager never did ( said they were all in a meeting) with NO call back! This is the second time trying this service and both experiences have been the horrible! I wish this store offered a little more but you know how that goes. Some stores offer things that others don't due to the community. Every time I've went to this Walmart, the greeters always speak and are all friendly. And when it's time to checkout if I'm in or around electronics, Marsean is always friendly, helpful, and ready. I really appreciate him as an employee because he's actually brightened my day with his loud genuine "Hey, how are you?" Hope to see more employees similar to him!!! Great hardworking and caring! Wal Mart really needs to get it's ish together and start caring a little more for the customers that have made them filthy rich! I always knew that once they crushed their competition (K-Mart) they would stop caring about the customers. it's always something when i come here. it's the easiest store to hit on my way home from work but i'm over it. they never have any actual registers open, only self checkout. there's always 2-3 employees hovering and watching you scan them and then when you leave there's a rude woman at the door demanding to see your receipt. news flash - 3 other employees watched me scan this and you have me on camera WHY???? it makes absolutely no sense and only makes the experience worse. no other store does this bs. and the one day i get an actual register, i used walmart pay (since this idiotic company refuses to add apple pay/google pay) and the app messed up. it only applied my walmart cash, didn't charge my card. they said they would have to rescan my entire cart to redo the walmart pay. so i had to go out to my car to get my wallet because obviously walmart pay is useless. so stupid and always SO BUSY NOT WORTH IT. read more

If you have to make a trip to a Walmart Supercenter, this is a good location to do it. I typically shop other locations, just because they're closer to me, but when I have stopped by this location of Walmart it has been much more clean than some other locations I have visited, and it seems to stock better merchandise. I have found some really cute items in this store that I have not been able to find at other locations. Overall I think this location is great if you need a stop at Walmart, especially compared to other location around the city. read more

I went Christmas shopping tonight at Walmart on Shelbyville Road. I spent over an hour going through the lines and gathering Christmas Cards and ultimately decided to get some restaurant gift cards and Walmart gift cards. I waited in line for an hour to be waited on because the self checkout line stretched around the store. When I finally got to the cashier, she looked at me and said she can't ring up more than one gift card and I would have to go stand in line at the Service Center. I have never heard of that before. I'm not a Walmart basher. This location has plenty of parking and of course, all of the items at great prices that you hate to pay more for elsewhere. I usually run in to restock the pantry with pickles, jalapenos, dried lentils and other staple items. I went grocery shopping and didn't think to look at the expiration date! I got home and had multiple items expired and even have dates back to September! What makes me mad is how expensive food is and I don't live in town so it's more gas to drive 25 minutes to return the items! They sold me a 200 dollar "Xbox Elite controller" that was just an empty box. When I came back they refused to refund me or replace empty box with an actual product because I didn't open the box in the store. (I don't know who opens brand new electronic purchases in the store in the checkout line after it's put in a bag... but I digress) They would not refund me. They would not give me the controller I paid for. They made me leave with a box that only had a heavy charger and replacement parts in it. One of their employees must have stolen it upon getting returned and put the empty box back on the shelf. Despite there being video of the sale a few hours before me coming back, they refused to help. I refused to leave without either my money back or an actual product. So they threatened to call cops on me. So I had to leave. The number they gave me to call for help said the manager should have the authority to handle it and that she can't do anything other than report it and hope I eventually get good news. So now I'm sitting here the day before thanksgiving with no Xbox controller to play with my family on thanksgiving and down 200 dollars. Absolutely trash. I spent 4 hours of my day to get robbed of 200 dollars. And to the manager who called the cops. You're awful. And calling the cops shouldn't be the solution to someone who has a legitimate reason to be absolutely furious with you. Your store sold me an empty box with a charger in it for 200 dollars. We bought a Bissel cordless vacuum that scanned as $99. When we checked out, it was $169. We went to the customer service counter and was told it was $99 for online only. So we got a refund, came home and ordered it online, and scheduled pickup for the next day. We got a text the next day saying our order was ready. The store has enough registers that checkout should be easy. However they employ only three people to work them. The lines are ridiculous. When the only option is self check out and four of eight are working. Crazy that at the self checkout there were two employees and one of them was just scrolling on her phone instead of actually working. Do yourself a favor and skip this location. read more

How did they mess up this bad??? I'd ordered a personalized item from the photo center, and received an email that it'd be ready for pickup Friday (today) after 6. So I show up today a little after 6 and give the gentleman my name. He proceeds (after going to the back and talking with his coworkers for about 10 minutes) by going through the PILE of unorganized packages behind him one by one, checking for my name. I offer my order number and he said that won't do any good. After he goes through every item, we have this exchange. Him: I don't have it. (Note: I'd called before I came and was told my item was there.) Me: Uh... so what do I do? Him: Well I could go through them all again, but I doubt that'll get us anywhere. Me: But how do I find my order? Should I call back tomorrow or what? Him: Yeah try that. (he just wanted me to leave clearly) So I left, feeling confused and frustrated. I went to Customer Service looking for help, advice, anything. I told the girl working about my lost item and she answered with "what do you want me to do?" I told her I just wanted any information at all that might help me. She said she'd get her manager and to wait. So I waited for several more minutes. I saw the manager walk around a few times but made no movement to come talk to me, so I eventually just left. So essentially I wasted my time and I now have a friend who isn't getting their Christmas present before the holiday. I get that it's always a madhouse this time of year, but the level of disorganization and uncaring from the employees was unbelievable. Definitely one of the better Walmart's out there, it's rare that you can go to a Walmart and the staff is actually kinda happy to help you out. I definitely appreciate above average customer service and in this case above average meaning better than other Walmart's. We stopped by to grab some gauze and some baking stuff for tonight and it was all easy to find and what we couldn't find the staff helped us out with. Warning!!!!! Do not order product from Walmart.com and expect to return product to local store. I ordered and received wrong size item. Within 10 days I returned product to local store for refund. Store said they could not help and I needed to contact the selling vendor for refund. I contacted vendor and they offered a $3 credit for the product I paid $16. I provided pictures of product, no damage and available for resale. They said I would need to contact Walmart for refund. I returned to this local store and they again said they could not refund. They suggested I call Walmart.com services and explain. I called and was on the phone for over an hour talking with various people. They said they would look into. This Walmart has its main focus on pickup and delivery. I have tried for several weeks to buy certain items, and they are out of stock, no one is stocking shelves they are all picking orders. Example: Coffee Creamer has been out of stock 3 weeks. I asked someone to check, and the answer was 'that's not my job'. If I were the manager this person would have been fired. I did find a older gentlemen, and he went in the back and came out with a case of the creamer and said there were 3 cases in stock. Milk. The are always out of milk in quart sizes, Liquid creamer, I found the cream I had been searching but it was so far out of reach I could not crawl through the cooler and get it. I asked someone again, to go inside and grab one for me. Answer: They are sold to people that have orders!!!! The mainstays are Milk eggs and bread, but now that Walmart has raised the prices (eggs were $0.78 mow $1.78 I would rather go to Kroger and pay 10 cents more to avoid the aggravation. read more

Just recently 2 near by Wal-Mart stores closed, this store has been too busy, shelves are not stocked, check-out latterly takes more than 15 minutes waiting in line. My last three visits have been a nightmare, and the last three days I have gone in to buy sausage patties, and they were sold out. You would think hey would stock the shelves at night. Today around 11:00am (Monday) I went in to pick--up a few things, 3 of the items were out of stock, it has been 5 days and still no sausage patties. What the hell is going on? I went to the check out there were about 12 people inline, 2 of the self checkouts were out of order, I put everything back on the shelves and walked out. I was a cashier at walmart and from my experience working there, it is such a shitty place. including the mangers, team associates, and overall cleanliness at this store. i worked here for 3 months and got terminated on the spot because i was out for a few days due to covid symptoms. the store manager fired me because i "had too many absence points" when those should have been accused due to covid and my call ins. they are disrespectful and make false accusation. i would be the only cashier on register some days, causing a lot of customers complaints and stress on my part. they schedule shitty hours and threaten to fire you if you CANT work around THEIR schedule. you have absolutely no freedom and say in anything when working at this walmart. customers can agree that this walmart is also dirty and everything on the shelves are misplaced making it difficult for customers to find their groceries and the right price. don't recommend working or shopping at this place. although they pay good, they completely disrespect their employees and take away their freedom in scheduling your own hours and availability. read more

the Manager for the sporting center is beyond lazy. It blows my mind how such a young man got the manger position When such a lovely older woman helped so much more and was willing to climb like a monkey on shelves just to find what I was looking for. I went back to Walmart because the bike the older woman helped me get, was missing a few screws. She wasn't working at the time I went back so the manager of the sporting section was the only option. He basically told me to leave and come back to return the bike because he didn't want to go up and get me a replacement which was at the top shelf. THE MANAGER!! a younger man. It's so crazy to me how this young man absolutely did not want to help when an old woman was doing everything in her energy level to do so for me. Today, I came in to get some items and this store is clean, organized and the main reason I gave this place 5 stars is because o the helpful service I received from a really nice man on a cane named Bud. I was looking for bagel chips and he walked me over to the area that he thought might have them but they weren't there. I thanked him and went on my way. Little did I know that Bud had gone to the deli to see if they had any and had also spoke to the Frito vendor to see if they carried any. He didn't have to do all this walking around and asking but HE DID. Customer Service is something that has gone by the way side and especially in establishments notorious for not taking care of their employees. Today, I was proven wrong. Thank you Bud.
