We contacted Tony using the "request multiple quotes" feature through yelp. He was one of the first to respond and was quick to schedule a free estimate. We walked the yard together and within 24 hours I had a contract in my email. After making some minor adjustments we quickly set appointment to begin work. The work was done sooner then expected and looks amazing!! There were a couple things that needed adjustments (minor things like weeding in spots) and Tony came within 24 hours to fix those small things. Those things aren't even the best part about our job with Tony.... My husband and I noticed a large amount of standing water in our front yard and once again we called Tony! Keep in mind that the standing water had nothing to do with the work that he did but a combination of problems with my neighbors sprinklers and a main sprinkler valve that was close to bursting causing the water build up. He was at our house the next day and stayed until 10pm trying to figure out the problem. He then came back early the next morning and fixed the problem!! The cost for the repair was very reasonable considering the amount of labor that it required! We are so thankful to have worked with Tony and TG Designscapes! Full service landscaping design and execution of that design! We had quite a lot of work for this company to complete, and they got everything done on schedule on budget and exactly as promised. In the backyard we needed a BBQ island built, walkways throughout our property, a fire pit area, and another cement slab for a gazebo. Everything came out wonderful. We wanted some grape vineyard rows in the front yard, and they executed that flawlessly. As well as stucco work on our retaining walls and fireplace to completely change the appearance of our front yard. Very good results. Tony and his team did an amazing job on our backyard. Disappointed, to say the least. I just called Tony and asked him if his company draws up landscape architectural plans. He said yes. When I told him I was a private party looking to have plans drawn up for our backyard, his response was, "Not interested." Really? Not even sure why, but doesn't matter. Let me start by saying they showed up on the start date as planned but after the first day i had to keep asking when they would back and what they would be doing. I would have fired them after the first week if Tony didn't have $8000 of mine. We had to hope and cross our fingers they would actually show up and finish the job. Tony would tell me they would be there then no show. The job took longer than it should and i will admit we delayed it by adding additional concrete. We had to remove some of concrete from project as they didn't calculate correctly and wouldn't have enough with the 1 cement truck and had the nerve to say I would have to pay for second truck because of his error. He took a whole $200 off for that. Had to settle for mulch as didn't want to delay it. They didn't flag or rope off cement area before they left and people walked on it. The planter boxes they built out of wood are a joke. i told tony they looked like crap and now they are starting to separate. They used nails instead of screws and just did a bad job overall with them. Today is May 9th and project was completed on May 7th so less than three days ago. My project in his eyes was small so guessing not that important to do a quality job. I will say the curbing came out well and grass is just grass. I sent him 2 messages about the boxes with no response so guessing I'm just screwed now. He should refund my money for boxes or redo them correctly. Still also waiting for my final invoice I should of had 3 days ago. Take this review any way you see fit. In general i have heard that landscape contractors are flaky and work when they want and how they want. If you decide to use TG Designscapes just be aware of these kinds of issues and definitely think twice about having them make you wood planter boxes. Get everything in writing so there are no misunderstandings. Overall I am partially satisfied. Tony was able to come up with a design based on what we asked for; not complaining about that. Personality wise he is good. I think his workers are more of the issue but as the owner he is responsible for their work. The planter boxes are a huge disappointment are really what drives this bad review along with some of the flaky behavior. **** **** fast forward to today may 11th. heard from Tony that he will come by and fix planters. will update my view with resolution once completed. ***** *****Tony came by on May 11th screwed the portion of the planters together that was separating. I called Tony about coming out to give me an estimate on upgrading my landscaping and replacing my outdated sprinkler system. I was impressed when he said he could be at my place within a couple of hours. He showed up on that Wednesday and we discussed my needs. He told me I could expect his quote on Friday. When I didn't hear back by Monday, I called to follow up. He told me the quote as almost done and I'd have it by the next day. That would have been Tuesday. Today is Friday and still no word. I tried calling again, but the call went to voice mail where I got a recording that said the mailbox was full and then, click. Disconnected. I hope Tony is OK and that there's no family emergency. But, apart from that, I feel devalued and disrespected. Was my job too small? Is he just too busy? It's OK if that's the case. I'd just appreciate the courtesy of a call to let me know. read more

Where do I even begin? When I finally came across TG Designscapes, I had already given up hope that we were going to find a RELIABLE landscape architect. Prior to meeting Tony, I had 7 different landscape architects either completely flake on me and not even show up to our appointment or actually come out to our house, talk with us about our needs, say they would call in a few days with a quote and literally never call me again! We were beyond frustrated and honestly I called Tony with very little hope and solely based on a recommendation from a stranger. At that point I figured what do I have to lose? First and foremost, Tony actually showed up to our home when he said he would! lol But more importantly, he was great at really listening to what our needs were but also offering some ideas that we hadn't even considered. After a few days he actually called back (seriously I was shocked!) and we made an appointment to look at his design concept. I was blown away by what he showed us and yet still nervous to move forward because we had just been burned so many times. I'm happy to say we took a chance on Tony and it was absolutely the right decision! Tony and his staff were amazing. They were at our home and on-time every time they said they would be there. Along the way, I had a gazillion questions and Tony was able to answer them for me every time. It seriously felt like by the end of the project that Tony had become a part of family and we were going to miss working with him. Our backyard is amazing and we get so many compliments on the bbq that we originally didn't even think we wanted! Lol. I was excited to see TG on yelp finally. I recently had a follow up visit after months of the project being over, and I'm elated to be able to share my experience with everyone. Lets start with the design. I had zero idea what I wanted, ZERO. I knew I wanted my old front and back yard gone, but I had no real clear cut vision as to what I wanted in its place. Tony drilled down and unearthed what it was that I wanted, and designed the dream yard that I never knew I wanted. That was the FIRST encounter. Then, for the side yard, I was actually very sure of what I wanted, and Tony was able to understand my laymen's jargon and translate it into exactly what I wanted. His crew was friendly and courteous and they knocked out the demo in 3 days flat! A huge feat when you consider the size and amount of concrete that needed to be removed. Tonys professionalism and attention to detail was awe inspiring, truly. From my air conditioned vantage point I looked on as Tony masterfully navigated a complex job and did so to the T. The end result was nothing short of my own personal Shangri-La. I spend every spare moment in my outdoor space now, because it is so inviting and serene.
