However, when I first met Mr. Lee and started discussing the project, I just knew that he was the one to hire due to his confidence and expertise in his field. I felt a strong sense that he wasn't out to get me, but rather to honestly help me and rebuild the wall with budget in mind. I chose Lee's over two other previous bids, and I am very glad I did. On day one of the demolition phase, foreman Augustine and his awesome crew just blew my mind at how efficient, precise and hard working they were. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed and felt at ease, knowing that I was definitely in good hands. Within a week, I had a beautiful brand new retaining wall built better than ever. Equally impressive was Joyce at the office making sure I was never left hanging with questions or concerns. All my queries were handled in a timely manner. For anyone looking for concrete/brick contractor, I highly recommend Lee's Concrete.

This was my very first time hiring anybody to do any sort of landscaping work. I was ignorant going…read moreinto it so I had to lean heavily into the landscapers expertise on what would be best for what I wanted to achieve. After getting a few quotes, I chose Lee's Concrete because he impressed me the most with the ideas he presented, not being pushy or sales-y, while also staying competitive price wise. He is also officially licensed for concrete. The project started around May 2025, and completed towards the end of July 2025. It consisted of concrete pouring, artificial turf installation, irrigation routing and laying out gravel/river rocks in planting areas. Also, a 2D layout diagram was provided for me to submit to HOA for approval. Below is a list of critiques ranked starting with my biggest letdowns: #1) WEEDS. Not via the concrete, but the artificial turf that was laid out. Lee offered artificial turf installs during my contractor search. My main reason for getting artificial turf was to have little-to-no maintenance. But, mines constantly has weeds growing out of the edges due the gap in the ends not being sealed. My next door neighbor had artificial turf installed by another landscaper and never has any weeds growing out of the edges ever. They had theirs installed after mine. Maybe it was my fault for not communicating that need initially. But at the same time, I thought having artificial turf laid out and it preventing weed growth on the edges would be a given. #2) Blotchy concrete coloring on front yard. My backyard's concrete coloring was pretty consistent and I was very happy with how it turned out. But my front yard was very blotchy and inconsistent. I was told that this is normal and will take about a year to cure and to give it time. Another reason was for differing "pH levels" for the area where the concrete was laid. Well... a year has passed and it has kind of improved here and there, but not so much in other parts. So, I'm a little hesitant to believe it that is actually the reason. It doesn't make sense to me that all the concrete laid out in my entire neighborhood doesn't look as bad as how it looks on my driveway. Structurally, it's fine. But it is a bit of an eye-sore looking at it every time I'm in my front yard. #3) I felt like I spent more time than I needed to checking for imperfections. A main one was my vinyl fence and cinder block wall getting dirty from the concrete pours. Another big one was the cinder block retaining wall in my backyard not being symmetrical on the edges. I had to call it out a few times to even get it fixed. Once it was finally fixed, my vinyl fence had residue from the cinderblock wall fix. By that time, I had gotten fatigue from having to constantly call out imperfections and let that one go. #4) You don't really know when the landscapers will come out to do the work. If I remember correctly, they would come out most weekdays. But, you wouldn't know if they would show up the next day or not. Not too big of a deal honestly. I'm more picky about this because I like to keep the side gate to my backyard locked and not knowing when to unlock it in the morning was just a tiny annoyance. I ended up just unlocking it first thing in the morning and locking it in the evening every weekday. Overall, I'd rate the project a 3 or 3.5 out of 5 - which I think is a very fair assessment. I'm relatively happy how it looks at the end. But there were a few bumps along the way which is why I cannot give a 5 out of 5. It pains me to write the above critiques and not be able to give the highest rating because Lee and the rest of his team were all very nice people. But there definitely could've have been improvements for the entire project.

I also had 4 bids and input from 4 companies to compare, and input from an arborist. The arborist is the one that recommended California Custom Landscaping to me because he said they do the best he's ever seen, and has not seen any issues with the work in later years. Henry from California Landscaping was, by far, the most knowledgeable and the most professional of the contractors I met with. He had ideas and suggestions that demonstrated he had extensive experience, and helped me find solutions to some difficult issues that would ensure my project is both long lasting and affordable. His pricing was not the highest bid, but was on the higher end, but after completion of the project, I understood why. He has a good size crew, they were all very knowledgeable, they were very thorough and did a very professional job, and brought in a lot of specialized equipment (I mention the equipment because I have had other jobs and seen jobs that do not have that). I my project included demolition of old concrete, electrical work, a concrete brick retaining wall, concrete pour wall, concrete pour, installation of my plants, and installation of a drip system. I genuinely had no concerns or complaints with the entire process, so I wanted to list off the things I noticed that I appreciated: - Every crew member was professional, polite, and many went the extra mile to make me happy. They always offered to do little extra things to help me out, even though they weren't part of their duties. - The foreman made sure to ask questions along the way to ensure I was happy with choices being made. This was very important to me because I had a project in the past where decisions were made without checking with me, and work had to be redone. - The workers cleaned up after themselves thoroughly after each day, and left materials and tools organized nicely. They always swept, cleaned, or blowed the area, so there were no messes. - The workers seem to be treated really well and their time was respected. I appreciated that I saw them taking regular scheduled lunch breaks and leaving at the same time each day. When Henry wanted to schedule work on the weekend, he emphasized that he needed to respect their weekends, ask permission, and give them plenty of notice. -Everything was very timely. They came when they said they would, arrived on time, let me know what days they would not be working, and completed the project pretty quickly. -Henry would regularly check in, make sure I was happy, and answer my questions. He also communicates/responds to emails calls and texts in a timely manner. There were a few great things included in the project that i didn't even realize. - The work they did was beautiful! I couldn't be happier with how my back yard turned out. I've had to clean up neighbors debris from their trees and hose it down, and it cleans up easily and drains well. I would definitely recommend California Custom Landscaping, and plan to have them come back to help me with a few future projects.

It was early September when I first contacted Mike, owner of Landscape Pro Services. He explained…read morethat he was quite busy and his irrigation specialist would be unable to do my drip irrigation job for at least a couple months. But Mike's business reviews, starting some 6 years earlier, were impressive. Almost all positive, those reviews convinced me to not be discouraged. I let him know I would gladly wait. Besides, I had already met with another "highly rated" Yelp contractor and was feeling rather discouraged. That guy had given me an extremely high bid. His subsequent communications and extreme bartering impressed me to be odd, bordering on unethical and untrustworthy. I knew I had to keep looking. In spite of his schedule, Mike graciously consented to come out see what was going on with my aging drip system the next week. Two weeks later, after I thought he had forgotten me, I received an unsolicited text from Mike with a genuine apology. We met the very next day. It went well. For a full hour, we discussed all my drip system problems. He made many recommendations, but his ideas were realistic and practical. He assured me that, instead of re-doing the entire system, he could take the existing drip lines and repair, replace, and improve, as needed. This meant a significant savings to me, and most importantly, much happier plants. His price quote was far more affordable. Meanwhile, while taking a look around, he noticed that my controller (timer) was misprogrammed. He asked my permission to reset everything so it would be running more efficiently, then took the time to explain everything he did. (I was ecstatic, me being the boob who had naively messed it up in the first place.) He shared some valuable tips on plant care as well. Little things like this convinced me I would be in good hands. December 2025. It was a wait, for sure, but we finally found a day to proceed on this 1-day project. He sent his irrigation specialist, Lazaro, out to my house and Lazaro was a god-send. Very reliable. Very ethical. Very hard-working and agreeable. What a great guy to have on your team. Lazaro completed everything in one day. I decided to add to the scope of work, adding a new controller unit at the same time. Lazaro ran out, bought the piece, installed it, and gave me hands-on training before leaving. And what do you know? The final bill still came to about one 3rd of the other guy's final quote. Could not be happier. An excellent experience in every sense of the word.

From the level of service, to the quality of work on our backyard, to the unmatched turnaround time and value, Mike delivers on all levels. If I could give him more stars than 5, I would. I gave him a general idea of what we were looking for and he truly exceeded all expectations with it. We have a fairly small backyard that if treated a certain way, wouldn't feel spacious. Somehow, our backyard now feels more open and bigger than it actually is and all with a modern touch. Throughout the span of the project, Mike kept a simple communication line going and was always so honest. So much so, that he gave us money back because we somehow accidentally paid more than we should've. So I had to write this review on how amazing my project turned out and how it all began. I first called Green Nature landscape about a year ago. I talked to ramon and he gave me such incredible advice and what to do with my front walkway leading up to my front door. So I used to have a simple concrete walkway with plants on each side. every year i would have my gardener plant new stuff but nothing ever looked nice after a couple of weeks. after planting three years in a row and also adding pebbles to fill in the space, I HAD ENOUGH!! my cat and dog would spread the pebbles and i would have to sweep them back and that would cause damage to the very few plants that would survive. I was sick and tired and every time I would ask my gardener, God bless him, he would suggest different plants and mulch, gravel, etc., I needed a professional, so I called a couple of landscape businesses and requested estimates based off of their ideas. to make a long and agonizing story short, both contractors I had come out, gave me their own ideas based off of my budget. "well plant some shade plants and add mulch, gravel, etc.," AHHHH I was so frustrated and felt I was going to always deal with this problem every year. Then I called Green Nature. Ramon answered and he was very nice. He asked me about my project and i explained to him exactly as I had to the previous landscapers. He quickly said to me "Maria, it sounds like you need something permanent. Pavers would look great, and so would stamped concrete" I was quick to stop him and let him know i was on a budget and could not afford said items. He responded with the most honest advise, "well, Maria, I would recommend saving your hard earned money and deal with the dead plants, bare area's and messy pebbles until you can afford to install Pavers and or concrete" He went on to explain to me that I was going to pour money year after year to keep my front walkway nice, but was never going to be satisfied. He was right! So everyday I would walk up to my front door in agony to see the mess, but waited patiently. So after a year I called Green nature back, and spoke to Gustavo, he told me he was ramon's brother and that he was handling the estimates. I told him who I was and that I was ready to receive a quote. He come out the very next day and provided me with a great price on pavers and concrete. So i decided on pavers and I am AMAZED at how fantastic my new front walkway looks! Everything that Ramon said I would feel after getting something I was really happy about was right on! the pavers are clean and beautiful and I cannot believe I didn't do this years ago!! Our company uses Green Nature Landscaping for our weekly lawn maintenance service. When we first moved to the Ontario location, I quoted few other landscape services around the area, needless to say, Green Nature Landscaping was definitely our top choice. The owner, Ramon, came out to do a walk through with me himself, and explained everything in detail. He was very honest with his recommendations, and his price is very good, I never felt over charged with Green Nature. After we planted few Bonsai trees in our garden, Ramon called me and notified me that Bonsai requires special care, and he brought one of his Bonsai expert out to do walk through with me. I definitely appreciate Ramon for putting in the effort to make sure our trees get the best care possible. We have been using their service for about a year now, and Ramon always call me every 2 months to do follow up with me, make sure we are 100% satisfied with their service. I recently moved into this house and the backyard was not quite to my liking. The grass area, although green, was more like a moon scape with sprinklers going every which way. Upon hiring Ramon, my hopes of having a park like backyard increased. He listened to my design ideas and added to them to come up with a fantastic plan. The finished backyard is better than expected. The WOW factor is what I get from family and friends. His staff showed up on time every day and worked the plan as we discussed. They were courteous and friendly and made sure all trash and equipment were put away at the end of the day. Is there something more than a FIVE star review? Ramon, Gus and his whole crew were amazing! Their communication and professionalism was top notch. Seriously the best in the business. The crew was friendly and most importantly they cleaned up after their work day. There was never a mess. My husband and I were looking for a resort type backyard. We didn't want any space wasted. We spoke with Ramon about our wants and he quickly created a video of of what we envisioned. A couple of weeks later our dream backyard was completed. The estimate appointment was very easy to set up and during Daniel went over with me in detail what I had envisioned and how he could make it a reality. After getting an estimate from 15+ vendors, Daniel was one of the very few who I feel gave me a fair price for the work. He wrote up a contract which detailed every step his team would take to complete the job and gave roughly 1 month to do the complete backyard renovation despite hazardous working conditions with the summer heat. His team went above and beyond, completing every task professionally and with a high quality that left me very satisfied with the work done. They were knowledgeable, able to work on a variety of tasks from concrete work, to irrigation, to electrical, to overall general contracting and landscaping. I also had 4 bids and input from 4 companies to compare, and input from an arborist. The arborist is the one that recommended California Custom Landscaping to me because he said they do the best he's ever seen, and has not seen any issues with the work in later years. Henry from California Landscaping was, by far, the most knowledgeable and the most professional of the contractors I met with. He had ideas and suggestions that demonstrated he had extensive experience, and helped me find solutions to some difficult issues that would ensure my project is both long lasting and affordable. His pricing was not the highest bid, but was on the higher end, but after completion of the project, I understood why. He has a good size crew, they were all very knowledgeable, they were very thorough and did a very professional job, and brought in a lot of specialized equipment (I mention the equipment because I have had other jobs and seen jobs that do not have that). I my project included demolition of old concrete, electrical work, a concrete brick retaining wall, concrete pour wall, concrete pour, installation of my plants, and installation of a drip system. I genuinely had no concerns or complaints with the entire process, so I wanted to list off the things I noticed that I appreciated: - Every crew member was professional, polite, and many went the extra mile to make me happy. They always offered to do little extra things to help me out, even though they weren't part of their duties. - The foreman made sure to ask questions along the way to ensure I was happy with choices being made. This was very important to me because I had a project in the past where decisions were made without checking with me, and work had to be redone. - The workers cleaned up after themselves thoroughly after each day, and left materials and tools organized nicely. They always swept, cleaned, or blowed the area, so there were no messes. - The workers seem to be treated really well and their time was respected. I appreciated that I saw them taking regular scheduled lunch breaks and leaving at the same time each day. When Henry wanted to schedule work on the weekend, he emphasized that he needed to respect their weekends, ask permission, and give them plenty of notice. -Everything was very timely. They came when they said they would, arrived on time, let me know what days they would not be working, and completed the project pretty quickly. -Henry would regularly check in, make sure I was happy, and answer my questions. He also communicates/responds to emails calls and texts in a timely manner. There were a few great things included in the project that i didn't even realize. - The work they did was beautiful! I couldn't be happier with how my back yard turned out. I've had to clean up neighbors debris from their trees and hose it down, and it cleans up easily and drains well. I would definitely recommend California Custom Landscaping, and plan to have them come back to help me with a few future projects.
