It was early September when I first contacted Mike, owner of Landscape Pro Services. He explained that he was quite busy and his irrigation specialist would be unable to do my drip irrigation job for at least a couple months. But Mike's business reviews, starting some 6 years earlier, were impressive. Almost all positive, those reviews convinced me to not be discouraged. I let him know I would gladly wait. Besides, I had already met with another "highly rated" Yelp contractor and was feeling rather discouraged. That guy had given me an extremely high bid. His subsequent communications and extreme bartering impressed me to be odd, bordering on unethical and untrustworthy. I knew I had to keep looking. In spite of his schedule, Mike graciously consented to come out see what was going on with my aging drip system the next week. Two weeks later, after I thought he had forgotten me, I received an unsolicited text from Mike with a genuine apology. We met the very next day. It went well. For a full hour, we discussed all my drip system problems. He made many recommendations, but his ideas were realistic and practical. He assured me that, instead of re-doing the entire system, he could take the existing drip lines and repair, replace, and improve, as needed. This meant a significant savings to me, and most importantly, much happier plants. His price quote was far more affordable. Meanwhile, while taking a look around, he noticed that my controller (timer) was misprogrammed. He asked my permission to reset everything so it would be running more efficiently, then took the time to explain everything he did. (I was ecstatic, me being the boob who had naively messed it up in the first place.) He shared some valuable tips on plant care as well. Little things like this convinced me I would be in good hands. December 2025. It was a wait, for sure, but we finally found a day to proceed on this 1-day project. He sent his irrigation specialist, Lazaro, out to my house and Lazaro was a god-send. Very reliable. Very ethical. Very hard-working and agreeable. What a great guy to have on your team. Lazaro completed everything in one day. I decided to add to the scope of work, adding a new controller unit at the same time. Lazaro ran out, bought the piece, installed it, and gave me hands-on training before leaving. And what do you know? The final bill still came to about one 3rd of the other guy's final quote. Could not be happier. An excellent experience in every sense of the word. read more

Mike Jones is an absolute class. Coming from a poor experience with a previous contractor who we later found out wasn't even licensed, Landscape Pro Services truly came in clutch. From the level of service, to the quality of work on our backyard, to the unmatched turnaround time and value, Mike delivers on all levels. If I could give him more stars than 5, I would. I gave him a general idea of what we were looking for and he truly exceeded all expectations with it. We have a fairly small backyard that if treated a certain way, wouldn't feel spacious. Somehow, our backyard now feels more open and bigger than it actually is and all with a modern touch. Mike and his team are phenomenal! I met with him and had only a vague idea of what I wanted. He spend quality time with me asking questions about my likes and feel for the yard. We discussed my dogs and my love for attacking butterflies and hummingbirds. He beautifully created two spaces, front and back and even put in irrigation for the backyard. As a new home owner of the property, Mike and his team were always respectful and friendly. They coordinated with me to keep the dogs away from their work but also happy. They did so many things that I didn't even know I needed. They ran irrigation to the planter next to the mailbox and planted some beautiful plants there. They created a butterfly garden in the front and even created a sitting area with flagstone. They even put up fencing around the sod to help keep the dogs off until it got rooted. His irrigation specialist installed a new controller and programmed all the stations for both spaces. Each bush or tree has a drip line ran to it to make the watering efficient. I have a dog and have always wanted to be able to take him out in the backyard for his bathroom business. I have concrete and flagstones in my backyard so I'd always have to take him to the front yard or on a walk since he refuses to go on concrete or flagstone. It's a bit inconvenient especially early in the morning or late at night. I decided to place a small patch of grass on the side of my backyard as well as place fabric and lay gravel to cover the rest of the dirt area. Upon searching Yelp, I narrowed it down to two contractors. I spoke to Mike on the phone and made an appointment. I received two estimates before meeting Mike but since I was very impressed with Mike over the phone, I wanted to wait until I had a chance to meet Mike. Very happy with our new front yard. When we moved in, it was all patchy and weeds easily overtook the place. Mike created a drought tolerant design that met the standards for the turf replacement credit. They sprayed the weeds, demo'd the yard, graded the slope, tarped the area, added a rock river, added drip irrigation, and replaced the crumbling brick planters with a handsome concrete curb. Mike is an arborist and selected beautiful plants with a variety of colors, and gave detailed instructions on how to care for them. He also managed to fix and figure out the existing broken irrigation system. Throughout the whole process Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. We searched forever to find a landscaper that we were comfortable with. We did not want a gardener to do it. We wanted a pro. We met with Mike (owner) and he discussed weather, shadowing, soil, drainage and our want list. He was very accommodating and his expertise/knowledge was obvious. We wanted to change the landscape in our front yard to be more water efficient, more eye appealing, and low maintenance. We checked out several landscape companies and were very impressed when we called Landscape Pro Services and Mike came out, listened to our desires, walked the property, and came up with a wonderful vision for our yard. While the final installation was delayed due to bad weather and Covid related illness and isolation of some of the crew, Mike kept in touch to keep us updated. When the work finally came, the crew were wonderful. They were neat, thorough, friendly, polite, and very professional. Mike dropped by often to check in on the work and talk with us about the progress. When the work was done, Mike walked us through the watering and care of the new plants and allowed us to tape his "tutorial" so that I could refer to the recordings to care for the plants properly in the future. He also scheduled check-in visits to see how the plants were doing and to teach me how to prune my fruit trees properly, giving me detailed guidance not only on how to thin them, but also on why annual thinning is necessary. As a part of the project, one of the existing trees needed extreme thinning to begin to get it back to the bonsai look it used to have. The arborist he used got the tree looking really good, however, any more pruning this year would have severely stressed the tree. Mike will be back next winter to complete that work. No other landscaper would have made that kind of long-term commitment. The final result was more stunning than we envisioned. Mike and his team totally recreated the look of our front yard. Neighbors and visitors have spontaneously commented on how beautiful our yard looks. We are more than pleased with the results. We highly recommend Mike and Landscape Pro Services! I highly recommend Mike and his team for any landscaping work. We completely xeriscaped our yard to replace it with gravel and native plants. I ultimately chose them because they knew the most about working with native plants, offered a very reasonable price, and were very responsive. Mike also knows all the requirements for the turf replacement program rebate. It took a lot of work to remove all of the existing plants but his team got it done. They even came during the week of Christmas and on New Years Eve. Everyone was very knowledgeable, kind and communicative during the entire process. Mike was receptive to last minute requests and took all my ideas into consideration. For example, I gave a plant list and he was able to incorporate all I ones I wanted. He even called me the night before they were scheduled to start planting to confirm the exact variety of a certain plant. We have Mike came to the house a few months ago to check on the condition of the trees around the property. We just moved in and want to know if they are healthy as the previous owner did little to no maintenance.
