We obtained multiple bids for landscaping a conversation pit / fire pit area on our property. Jonathan went beyond simply quoting us a price for what we asked for. He talked to us about using different materials and visual borders to turn what was just going to be a "place" into a real focal point for our backyard. John and his team did such an amazing job transforming our backyard. When I called for a quote he came by, we talked through what we wanted from our backyard landscaping which included concrete work, new irrigation including and new sprinkler lines for the yard perimeter as well as our vegetable garden boxes, mowing strips around the yard, new plants and reseeding the grass. Our backyard was a mess and an eyesore for several years since moving in and John and his team of workers did an amazing job transforming it into the backyard we could enjoy. John was communicative and thorough in explaining what work was to be done on what days. He always stopped by to check on his workers and make sure we were happy with the work being done. The price was good and fit within our budget. After the work was done we have had some issues with some of the drip sprinklers and some of the grass being patchy, but his guys have come back to get things back into shape. I had given up on maintaining grass and the associated irrigation challenges, as well as the expense. I decided to have John from GB Landscaping remove the grass, plant various shrubs, and install decorative rock where the grass used to be. These guys are completely unreliable. I tried twice to get them to my house to just give me an estimate, and both times they failed. I think it was the owner that apologized after the first instance and even offered me a discount. He then rescheduled and said that he personally would be at my house around 11am, okay I give him the benefit of the doubt and reschedule. At almost 2pm again no sign of him showing and no call or text message that he'll be late. I text him to tell him forget it, he blames it on a flight delay. Enough! I literally told him, if he can't even get to my house for an estimate, then I could never trust him with a project. It's basic customer service, if something comes up then call or message and just explain a change in schedule. I can't say it enough, completely and utterly unreliable. read more
