AED just completed a front yard renovation and it looks great. Was searching for a landscaper to complete a turf removal and turn my yard to drought tolerant. Wasn't looking for desert scape, instead wanted more of a natural SoCal look. Nick came out and heard my ideas and worked with me to complete a turf removal grant. Saved me money! Project was completed in 3 days and already getting compliments. I'm happy to pull in the driveway. Recommended. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with All Environmental Design to transform my front lawn from traditional turf to a beautiful assortment of drought-tolerant plants. Living in the Inland Empire, water conservation is crucial. Nick and his team not only understood the details of the state turf replacement rebate program, they executed the project with exceptional skill and creativity. Nick sent me a design and a list of suggested plants that were hardy and drought tolerant, but still colorful and attractive to pollinators (which is what I wanted). He respected my likes and dislikes and I never felt like he was pushing me into choosing something I didn't want. The result is a visually stunning, environmentally-friendly landscape that uses much less water. The team was professional, punctual, and took the time to educate me on the care and maintenance of my new plants. They even recommended new irrigation timers that also qualified for a rebate and came back to install and program them. More than a month later, Nick still checks in on me and the yard to make sure everything is going well and to answer any questions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their outdoor space while also doing their part for the environment. Will definitely hire again! read more

Beyond impressed As a Hispanic woman with family in the landscaping business, it was super important to find a company that not only provides quality service but treats their workers with respect. After offering some iced waters to the guys working their butts off in the early AM, they had nothing but positive things to say about both Nick and Andy. That speaks volumes to me. If you're looking for honest, genuine people who provide nothing but great all around service with beautiful landscaping, All Environmental Design is the way to go. Nick and Andy came out to our house and they were very professional. They educated my wife and I on city regulations, gave us options based on our financial needs, gave us ideas for future projects that they can help with. I was also extremely impressed on how efficient they were when they were working. I've heard a saying that goes "under promise, over deliver." Well these guys did just that. Estimated the job to only take a day to complete. These guys finished in 3 hours. Very nice gentleman and I can't wait to get these guys to help us out on our next project!!! read more

Nick at All Environmental Landscaping completed a 2200 sq. ft. turf removal and water wise landscaping project for our home in January. The results were beautiful, and we have received so many complements. Nick was responsive to all inquiries. He gave us an excellent education about the new plants and design. The project was completed faster than we had anticipated. Nick and his work partner Andy are clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in their quality work. read more

All Environmental Design did a great job on our yard. Nick was very responsive to our phone calls and answered all our questions. He also gave us information on getting a rebate for what we were doing with the yard. Him and Andrew both made sure we understood how the new system worked and what to expect in the next few months to a year for plant growth. They made sure all was cleaned up after the job was finished. We would hire them again. read more

I'm only a year late in posting this review. We had a great experience remodeling our front yard with Nick and Andy. We had a general idea of what we wanted (river rock, low maintenance, pathway) and they came up with design that fit our needs perfectly. There was great communication throughout the entire process and it only took a couple of days. I only wish I had done it sooner! So it's a year later and all of our plants lived! I've only had to pull weeds once every few months and there aren't very many so it takes me less than 30 minutes. Perfectly low maintenance and drought tolerant. Thanks! read more

Nick and his team have a focus on California native plants and construction materials. Nick is very responsive, and he and his partner are very hands-on. They were both on-site during my project and made sure that things were done right. They were knowledgeable about water-saving rebates and made sure that the design was within budget. Although the scope of work did not include my slope, they also gave me good advice on how to maintain and improve it to save water. After the recent atmospheric rivers, there was some erosion on the installed decomposed granite due to water run-off, but Nick's team came back, evaluated the problem, and made some improvements to the design. If you are looking to take advantage of water-saving rebates in SoCal and to save on your water bill as well, Nick and his team will provide great service. read more

It's been a year since All Environmental Design transformed our backyard and we're still EXTREMELY pleased with the work that they did! Nick and Andy were amazing every step of the way. It was a fairly large project, and we financed some of it through the HERO program. When we moved in 2 years ago, our backyard was mainly just a big, ugly rectangle of dirt. Our neighbors tell us that we now have the best backyard in the neighborhood! Some of our pictures are featured on their Yelp page (the one with the fire pit near the pool and the succulents near the spa). Scope of work: * Remove tree stumps * Plant succulents and other drought-resistant plants * Install Pavers * Build Firepit * Install Drip System * Replace back fence It's been over a year so I might be forgetting some of the other stuff that Nick and Andy did. Suffice it to say that: 1. Their ideas and their bid impressed us so much that choosing All Environmental Design for the job over the other bidders was a no-brainer. 2. Nick and Andy are still very responsive to my emails/questions. They recently came over to trim some of the plants (that are looking beautiful, BTW) and then Nick wrote me a very thorough guide on how to trim each plant in the future. And just this week, they are also helping us out with an issue we're having with one of the parts in our sprinkler system. 3. I wanted something that was zero to low maintenance. They really listened to my preferences and delivered!! I hated our backyard when we first moved in. Now, I'm in love with it! I highly recommend All Environmental Design. We'll definitely use them in the future when we have new project ideas! read more

I did a great deal of research and looking at reviews before reaching out to Nick and Andy. I wanted a company that was local to us and could help us with a drought tolerant design. We weren't sure what we wanted our yard to look like, just that it be drought tolerant and low maintenance. The guys came out and discussed budget, went through our needs and wants, and created a perfect design that fit well with the style of our house and our entertaining needs. They were open to opinions about plant choices and details along the way. They went shopping with us to order our BBQ island, and gave advice on fire pits. They were also knowledgeable about the city's water rebate programs and made sure that our front yard where we removed our grass, met the requirements for the rebate. They showed up on the days that they said they would be there, cleaned up after themselves and obviously treated their workers well. The same guys were there each day so you could tell they were employees and not just guys hired for the day. They answered all my questions about caring for the plants and have checked in with us several times since the job finished. I would highly recommend working with Nick and Andy for any landscaping projects. read more

After Fontana Water raised my rates several times, I decided to turn my front yard into a desert landscape. I sent three requests for information, via Yelp, and Nick was the only one to respond. That was huge with me. We quickly came up with a design concept and his crew was ready to go. Nick was awesome and worked around the painting of my house and the occasional rain storm. I was referred to Nick to setup an appointment. I texted him and he asked several questions about our project needs. He then asked me to look at his website to make sure they can fulfill our needs. After looking at it, I felt that they could, so I told him exactly what we needed and asked if this was a job he'd be interested in taking on. He never replied. I find it extremely unprofessional to not have the courtesy to tell a potential client that they cannot do that job or have too much going on at the moment. I'm glad I was ignored now, and not after something goes wrong in the project. I'll try to post the pictures of the last part of our texts. read more

Nick and his crew were great and left our front yard looking beautiful. He gave us professional advice on what he thought were the best options for us. For years my husband and I struggled to keep the faulty and outdated galvanized irrigation system in our front yard alive. Half our sprinkler heads were fused and wouldn't pop-up, the ones that did would water the pavement instead of the grass, large swatches of the yard would go dead, and the whole thing seemed to suck our time, money and energy. With water being our highest utility bill we had thoroughly lost interest in maintaining the headache of our thirsty, weedy turfgrass. When the drought got really bad in 2012 we knew that a transition away from a traditional grass front lawn to the more California Friendly, low-water landscape was something that made sense for the geography of our area, our household budget, and our personal aesthetic. I shopped around for a couple of years to find the right company that I truly wanted to hire for my front yard makeover. I found All Environmental Design on Facebook and I admit I searched through all their photos, projects, descriptions and posts and was delighted to read all the excellent reviews from past clients, and now I know why! I called Nick to schedule a complimentary consultation and he showed up on time to tour my yard and discuss all my wants and needs. Nick was open and honest about the scope of work for our very large corner lot, and it took a bit of saving before I was ready to invest in the project. With that said, their prices were some of the most reasonable I had found, but this was still a large undertaking for a new home-owner like myself. Nick was incredibly helpful and an excellent communicator throughout the entire process! Nick and Andy formulated a detailed design for us in advance so we could feel at ease about exactly what plants would go where, and they integrated all my special requests into the design. Before I knew it my project was underway and Eddie, Cory, and Miguel worked thoroughly and efficiently as a team to demo all the existing plant material as planned. Nick and Andy would check in on their crew multiple times throughout the process and each day my home was left swept up and tidied before the next day's work. I enjoyed watching my team tend to each step with the care. Eddie always took the time to listen to my many questions and provide helpful information along the way. My customized drought-tolerant landscape was installed in a timely fashion and I am incredibly pleased with the results. Nick and Andy were very cognizant of my special request not to over-plant the area because I prefer a more low-maintenance, minimalist look. My yard now features a beautiful dry-laid flagstone courtyard, LED lights that illuminate the low-water trees, a new lamp post, stately boulders, crushed granite, rich mulch, ornamental grasses, succulents and a variety of other low-water plants. I couldn't be happier! I am so very excited to see how it will look in a few years. I've received kind remarks from my neighbors about the new look. Now every day when I pull into my driveway I feel proud of where I live! I am very thankful to have had the pleasure of working with All Environmental Design. I'd recommend their services very highly indeed! read more

Long time Yelp review reader, first time Yelp review writer. This is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a review, so that says something in itself. Nick, Andy, and the rest of the team did a great job on our backyard! My wife and I had a pretty plain and non-functional backyard. It would get insanely hot because there was no cover, terrible lighting, terrible grass (if you could call it that), sprinkler system was more set up to water the fence than the grass, etc. The only reason we went in the backyard was to make it less terrible by pulling weeds from the barren planter that surrounded the perimeter of our backyard and to water a few plants that we purchased ourselves (with the hopes of incorporating them into our backyard). We had a general idea of what we wanted our backyard to to look like, but we didn't know the details of what it should look like. So I looked around on Yelp and reached out to a handful of companies. Ultimately, we chose All Environmental Design because of Nick's responsiveness and professionalism leading up to and during the initial consultation meeting. We told Nick and Andy the general image we had in our head and they were able to fill in the details that we couldn't. They had great insight into what types of plants we should use for what we were trying to accomplish, so they definitely know their stuff (we googled what they told us...it was true). They were also able to incorporate the plants that we already had in pots, which they also knew a lot about. They quoted us 7 business days to complete the project and were able to get it done in 5 days, which was great! I thought their price was very reasonable especially for the quality of the service received. One last thing, while we hired them to redo our backyard they swept our front porch (it was covered in leaves and sticks because it was windy a couple days prior) and they spread the leftover mulch in our front yard planters. I definitely wasn't expecting anything to happen to our front yard, so that was a nice surprise. I definitely recommend them! read more

I had a small-ish job -- grading and graveling an empty space on the side of my house, and some irrigation for garden beds -- and the entire process was seamless. Great communication, reasonable price, excellent attention to COVID precautions. They have also drought tolerant landscaping for two friends (which is how I heard from them) and their yards are gorgeous, especially now that the plants have gotten bigger. I will use them again for future work. read more

This company was super AWESOME, they came back several times to fix rain issues. I did this in 2016 in October, then we had several rains week after week, This created some issues but Nick and Andy were great. A year and a half later he saw a Aloe Plant not doing well and replaced it. I give them a 5 because the design and job was awesome but the crew and follow up were also awesome. Great customer service and great workers, Corey is very helpful. read more

I contracted with All Environmental Design because of their experience with both drought-tolerant landscaping and hardscapes. We have a large property and didn't have any idea how to approach all the work that was needed, including a new wider driveway, new front and back patios, drainage, and new landscaping and irrigation throughout. Nick and Andy broke the project down into understandable and affordable phases that resulted in a beautiful transformation of the entire front yard and a great head start in the backyard. Nick's communication throughout the project was superb, from his immediate response to my initial request through answering questions about the drip irrigation system after the project was completed. The work was done completely on time and within budget, even with several days of rain. He took care of all aspects of the job, including coordinating with the city and an insurance adjuster. Andy was on site to help plan the project and I'm sure he worked hard behind the scenes to make sure the project turned out perfectly. The project foreman, Cory, was on top of all of the work and was a pleasure to work with every day. The project required a lot of labor, and everyone on the job was professional and friendly throughout the project. My favorite part of the process was choosing the plants for the front yard. Our city has a requirement that at least 50% of the front yard must include living plants. Even though all of the plants selected for our yard are drought tolerant and our water usage is now very minimal, the yard is filled with flowering plants and interesting foliage. They even reused the stepping stones and rocks to create an extra pathway. They thought through every detail and made the whole process worry free for me. The end result is that All Environmental Design transformed our boring and damaged yard into a beautiful drought tolerant landscape that we will enjoy for many years to come. read more

As I'm currently in the middle of a huge overhaul in my condo and windows won't be coming until later, I decided a quote wouldn't hurt. I just had my front yard done by them. I am extremely happy with the result. It has always been difficult to keep the grass green and healthy during summer. I decided to replace the ugly red apple ground cover & a lot of thirsty plants across a large portion of my back yard..approx. 95x 20 foot across. I had the area cleared out & leveled & then had All Environmental Design come in & design a drip system & new drought resistant plants & fill the area in with bark. Nick also put in a beautiful riverbed that matched the garden wall that I had put in. I also had Nick & Andy change out a lot of sprinkler heads that were wasting water. The were able to complete the job in one full day! The area looks so much better & I have reduced my water usage by about 1/3. In Aug 2016 we sought drought resistant landscaping for our front lot and found All Environmental Design on Angie's list. We should have seen the early red flag when Andy, the contractor, said we were not eligible for the Angie's list discount. Although his cost was high, we were highly motivated and we hoped that the high cost would translate into high quality of the project. The project turned out boring and ordinary, so we had to add hardscaping to enhance the appearance, and of course, we paid them for the additional work. As the landscape design grew in and filled in, it became clear that some of the choices Andy made for plantings overgrew the space he placed them in, and some of the smaller plants he planted died because of lack of sunlight by the now excessively large plants around them. Attempts to trim the very large plants caused them to gradually die, even though we had the trimmings done professionally and carefully. Throughout this process, we made phone calls and sent emails to Andy, but these were met with barriers of all kinds. He finally set up an appointment, but he was a no-show; there was never a re-schedule, let alone an apology. In two very recent emails we sent, the response was that they would be happy to provide "maintenance" for a mere $700 every year! We explained this was not about maintenance, but rather we wanted to discuss a design flaw with respect to the design of plantings that were not appropriate for the size or spacing on our lot. We asked for a consultation, but they have summarily ignored our request. In summary, we did not get a high value for their high end cost of landscaping, and in fact, feel their design was flawed in terms of choice of plant size for our property. They tried to put the failure on our shoulders, as if we did not maintain the landscaping, and pushed us for an excessive amount of money for them to provide maintenance-- but again, this had nothing to do with lack of maintenance and everything to do with their failed design of plantings and spacing, so we declined. We have been left in the lurch. So, if you are reading this, we would urge you to get landscaping services elsewhere. Don't expect their high cost will deliver with high professionalism. We were very disappointed. read more
