Bryce came out right away and we discussed how to transform our mud pit of a backyard lawn into a useable space while getting the LADWP lawn rebate. We decided to do 1/2 the lawn with a large flat "party" area bordered by some existing and some new plants. They communicated extremely well when their previous job got delayed because of weather which pushed us back a few days. When the crew led by Adrian showed up they went to work immediately. They were professional, respectful, and best of all I felt safe having these strangers around my home. Bryce has a crew of hard working family men who come to work and get paid well. No sketchy characters allowed. Bryce checked in a number of times during the work and often brought his crew a nice lunch which shows me he values and cares for them. The crew is experienced and they did an excellent job making a nice flat pad out of my mud pit. It has the slightest slope, no noticeable except when a heavy rain came and there was no ponding despite the fact that I have heavy clay soil. I was really impressed at the preparation they took. They took out my old sprinkler lines and put in 3 new drip zones as well as some new sprinklers for the lawn that we decided to keep. Adrian expertly trimmed trees and bushes and plants all around to make our yard much more under control than the wild mess it was. I think they took away 4 or 5 truckloads of dead, or overgrown plants. Adrian even trimmed our jade plants which look fantastic unlike before when they were so top heavy they were falling over and breaking. They look totally natural but I know Adrian took a lot out. I love sitting outside now. The birds and butterflies and even pesky squirrels love to come hang. Looking back at our job, I think the feeling of safety and the excellent communication as well as the high quality work was what sets Bryce and crew at Dreamscapes apart from other contractors. Not enough good things to say working with Dreamscapes. We contacted Bryce looking to completely redo our backyard and his team went above and beyond. Throughout the entire process he was in communication with us which was greatly appreciated. He was at the house pretty much every time we had something going on and his guys were working on something. We are finally to the finish line and my husband and I are so happy with the results. Bryce lives up to his company's name because our front and backyard truly became our dream landscape or "DREAMSCAPE"! Bryce and his crew are very detailed in their work. For example, every measurement of the spaces between the pavers were precise and flawless. The DG was leveled as needed. Here are 2 easy reasons you need to hire Bryce and his team for your project : [1.] Bryce truly works backwards from YOUR goals, wishes, and constraints, and presents you with feasible, long-term responsible, and attractive options to choose from. Starting with a neglected yard that hadn't been updated since 1989 (read: prior owners were gifted a bunch of random plants that they just threw into various spots, sprinkler pipes and valves were pretty roughed up, brick planters were crumbling, etc. etc.) ...  Bryce was able to take our very disorganized handful of goals: 1. dramatically reduce water consumption, 2. incorporate useful native/edible plants, 3. make it look good, and 4. scope the project to fit our not-unlimited budget ...  and he absolutely crushed it.   Where there once were busted bricks, pipes, and layer upon geologic layer of dead plant matter, we now have manicured pathways, privacy hedges, gorgeous specimen plants, and even a custom fountain...  all while reducing our monthly water consumption, and incorporating delicious things like guava, bay leaves, rosemary, and sage.   Check out the before and after videos I've added, to give yourself a sense of how much changed in two short weeks. We had Bryce's crew out yesterday for our first garden cleanup. The two guys were simply incredible and fast! My husband and I have a drought tolerant yard that was very much in need of cleanup and maintenance. I was so impressed with the hand trimming of our beautiful Palo verde tree in the front yard. Most gardeners do not take the time to do things by hand; they simply whack and blow. Not these guys. The one guy worked methodically and slowly in trimming the lower branches thereby shaping the tree. They also trimmed and cleaned up a creeping fig along our wall that had grown out of control along with a bougainvillea and other assorted shrubs. They paid attention to detail and cleanup. We live on a cul de sac and I feared that garden debris (i.e., yellow Palo verde blooms) would be everywhere. This was not the case. They raked up all the blooms that had had found their way to the sides of the gutters. Our yard looks better than ever. We are so happy to have found Dream Scapes.
