We contacted several companies to give us quotes for our already existing patio and to add a third parking spot that continues all the way up the side of our house. Luis and his team just finished my concrete project and I'm extremely happy with the results. Not only did Luis show up when he said he would, they did everything in a neat and clean manner. My job took about 3 days, he asked that I prep the site (move all my stuff off of it) and he took care of the rest. When we moved in we had a drive way we wanted extended and a walkway that looks like someone did a bad diy job. He did about 580 sq ft of driveway and walkway, everything is leveled for good water drainage and they even took care of elevating a HVAC line that was on the way. First Response Home Services responded quickly to my inquiry regard repair of our front door. I was contacted by Luis to get further details of the issue with our door and advised me of the price for them to come out and fix it. Within 15 minutes he asked if a certain time for the following day would work for us to have them come out to do the repair. Which happened to work for us. The next day repair person Derek arrived 15 minutes early inspected the door. I explained the issues we were having. He advised he could raise the door up to fix the issue, but was not experienced with adding a weatherstripping. Which was not a big deal to us we just wanted to be able to open and close our door again. The door was fixed in about 30 minutes. He had me check the door to see if it was to my liking. Also he gave a recommendation to contact the flooring company. Since we still have a warranty regarding the threshold piece installed between the door frame and flooring. Advised we should have them come out to replace this threshold piece since like the bottom of the door was warped by the rainstorm. Also, I especially liked the fact that the owner who I talked with originally called me within about 15-30 minutes after the service to make sure everything was to my liking and that repair person performed great customer service. We were looking to hire someone to install a new fence in our house. Like most people, we went to Home Depot first to get a quote and we were shocked and appalled by the amount of money that they wanted to charge us. Fortunately for us, a friend of mine recommended that I contact Luis. With his recommendation, we moved forward with a white, vinyl fence so that it could handle several years of wear and tear. I purchased all the materials and Luis' team demolished the old fence and installed the new fence. We used the Bid Room at Home Depot and got a small discount since our materials added up to more than $1000. We really appreciated the fact that Luis' team picked up the materials because there were over 40 bags of concrete. They took care of installing the fence over a weekend and the fence looks absolutely stunning and incredible. While excavating the ground, they found a concrete slab in the ground and it was the old foundation of my house. I recently had a major plumbing problem that resulted in my brick front porch being demolished and an unsightly sewer cleanout being installed in the middle of where the porch was demolished. I had been working with another provider to help rebuild the porch but it wasn't working out. I found First Response on Yelp and submitted an inquiry to see if it could be fixed with a proper access to the cleanout. Luis responded and we setup an appointment for him to take a look and provide a quote. I subsequently hired Luis and he came by to take measurements and find the right bricks to rebuild the porch so everything matched. Unfortunately, the bricks at Home Depot were not a match, but Luis had other supplies that he used and found the matching bricks to ensure that everything would look the same. I gave Luis the option to simply cement the area rather than install the bricks, but he was insistent that he wanted to make sure that the porch was repaired back to (or as close as possible) to the original design. Even with a cast iron cleanout valve that is there, Luis had his crew come on schedule and on time to start the work. I am so pleased with his workmanship and his determination to ensure that I was happy and satisfied with the work that I will be hiring him to help with the restoration of the inside of the house from the rest of the plumbing damage. I would not recommend overpriced $90 to $110 HR for one thing. You don't bring your daughter to work day to learn trade tearing things up. We kept asking for a quote and they kept quiet until the end. They did a good job with the painting but as far as the hired help they used they tore things because of inexperience and they had to repair the wood with bondo.
