The appointment was set for today from 10:00-11:00 AM. At 11:21 AM, I received a text saying he couldn't make it. We had already adjusted our original 12:00-2:00 PM appointment to accommodate your request to move it earlier after you reached out yesterday. We wanted to build a front patio to mirror the ones we see in Corona Del Mar. We also wanted to replace our driveway. When we met Lee the initial impression is intimidating because Lee is very sharp looking. I told him I didn't even want to see the estimate because I thought it would come in very high. Lees estimate actually came in 2nd out of 3. We didn't go with the lowest estimate and we didn't go with the highest estimate which was someone we had worked with before. We went with Lee because he was very detailed, gave me some very good ideas on what we should add to our plans, and had an iPad to show me examples of how our project would look. Coincidentally, when my wife met Lee during the second meeting she realized that Lee actually did our entire hardscape at our home in Chino Hills in 2013. Now after a month our project has finally ended and the entire experience was very pleasant. There was maybe a minor hiccup, but Lee was able to fix the issue without any additional cost. It seems his only goal was to make sure we were satisfied. There are two other houses on our cul de sac going through heavy landscape remodeling as well and Lee guaranteed ours would be the best. Since construction has ended several neighbors have told us they are extremely impressed by the work and it is indeed the best on the block. Lee and his staff are 100 percent professional and always in a pleasant, smiling mood despite working in the hot sun. Any request we made were received kindly and fulfilled. I have referred a coworker to Lee and I think he may get more work from my neighbors. I think anyone looking can surely find a cheaper contractor, but buyer beware. If you want a sure thing. We went through several quotes before ultimately going with Lee's Concrete. It was one of the best decisions that we have made this year. A lot of little things that were a headache with our project. First off, the communication- the biggest one was not being able to talk to the owner directly and always having to go through other people to get questions and concerns answered. Then, we would have appreciated to have the owner come out when the project was done to see if we were satisfied and to check out the work. Once we paid the workers the last installment, we didn't hear from Lee anymore. Also, we were always having to remind the workers of what we had asked to be done. Then, since they wouldn't come everyday or different workers would come on different days, they would forgot what we asked or corrections that's needed to be done. Always having to be watching that the work was done correctly was a pain, instead of just being able to let them work. Then, they would show up at 10a or 11a, which made it harder because we'd be at work and couldn't communicate. The work was completed and it looks nice, but a lot of details were overlooked. We've had people ask why the work was done incorrectly, from others in the same industry. I hate leaving reviews, but felt compelled to just say the truth. read more

The small project is to remove the existing lawn and replace it with new concrete area, pebbles and new sod area. I gave them the detail plan drawing. Their quote is fair and Juan did a great job for the concrete finish. My only suggestion is to inform the home owner on the working schedule (since the worker don't work from start to finish every day due to that they are also working on multiple other project at the same time).
