K&D just completed a "gut renovation" of our entire back yard and if I could give them a million stars I would. The before and after is simply stunning. The professionalism, kindness, attention to detail, and integrity of Ramiro and his team cannot be overstated. I had such a great experience with K&D Landscape from start to finish. I had drains put in the backyard and the DG Decomposed Granite ground cover on top and it came out perfect and not to mention ... right in time! The following day after the backyard was completed, we got hit with many days of rain and our fear of flooding was no longer our concern. I have seen the work product of this company: visually it looks really nice! With regards, to scheduling the initial visit and coordinating job start dates the process seems amateurish and completely self-serving. This company seems to be growing a bit too fast as evidenced by not honoring meeting times and originally discussed project start dates and giving lame excuses any adult can see through. I suggest this company slow itself down and not disappoint people via lame excuses and not assume that just because they have a lot of demand now that they can behave disingenuously towards potential clients. 1. Keep your word; the customers time is as valuable as yours. 2. Ramiro and his team did an excellent job demolishing and completely remodeling our front and back yards. He was professional, communicative, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process, which took about 2.5 weeks (weather was a bit difficult during our landscaping process). We already had in mind what we wanted and when he came to make an initial consult, he was very receptive of our requests and also gave helpful suggestions (thank you so much for suggesting a water drain for the back yard, Ramiro!!). I put off hiring a landscaper for a year because I was afraid I would end up with a front yard full of gravel and a few scraggly little plants. I decided to create a landscape design on my computer but still had to find the right crew to make it happen. Ramiro and his team took my design and brought it to life. Ramiro and his partner not only flattened my sloped backyard, but Ramiro designed and built the platform for my square fountain so that the electric connections would be hidden below and there could be a really cool LED strip of light surrounding the entire edge (see photos). We had our backyard completely gutted and re-done by Ramiro. It turned out great! We still need to add some chairs, a table and a fire pit but we love out new back yard! We had pavers laid, new sprinkler system installed, sod laid, trees and plants planted along with the moving of plants we already had that we wanted to keep, decomposed gravel put in and a sand box area for our son. Ramiro does very articulate work. He pays close attention to details and makes sure whatever he's doing is done right, he does everything he says he's going to do, he keeps you posted as the job goes on, he cleans up after himself each day and their are no surprises. He also helped us work out a design that suited our particular needs from design concept to the types of plants planted to the maintenance required after completion. He also helped me conceptualize an herb garden which I really wanted. We had pavers left over so he glued them together to create our beautiful herb garden. And he's a really nice guy to boot.
