I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of my son, I no longer like my son. I was extremely disappointed. I have had school cafeteria food better than this. I Purchased Chinese food and my wife ordered American. My egg foo young had no flavor. The gravy was the same my wife had on her mashed potatoes; either way it had a very bland burnt taste. The sweet and sour sauce had a very strong vinegar taste. My wife's fish was dry and inedible. We asked for the check and walked out after eating only 1/4 of our meal. I have tried to like T-Bone, I really have. Everything I have had is bland and mediocre. I have tried the lemon chicken, the sesame chicken (which came highly recommended by my coworkers), and the almond chicken. The food is incredibly oily and the sauces lack flavor. The shrimp I had seemed to be previously frozen and deep fried. The chicken was very dry as well. All three times I have been there it has been clean and the service has been fantastic. They prepare and serve their dishes incredibly quick. The decor alone makes going once worth while. Cacti statues along side lucky cats makes for quite the visual experience. read more

I really want to like this place, I really do. I have been here a few times, but there are some bright points, but a few issues. First is the fact that when you walk in the place you feel like you are sliding into the 1950's. I am not sure when it was built but I am putting my money on that time period. the place can make you a bit nervous as it is not the newest styling or the cleanest place you go to. The food is a mix of the style that I grew up with in the 70's and 80's. It is more of an American Chinese food. The times I have gone and grabbed food have been a mixed bag. A few times it was pretty average, and once it was really bad. The prices are pretty good, and they give you quite a bit of food, but it is not really impressive. Things tend to be overcooked, or just not the best quality. It is the same for the service. I have had good interactions to very bad. I rarely give five stars, but that is not an issue here. I would say this is a solid middle of the road place. In the end I feel it is a bit hit and miss. If you order the correct food you may hit a home run. if you don't you may be on the other side. After living in Springville for years, I finally went to tbone. It seems to always be busy and has good reviews on Facebook. We got the Dinner B for two and frankly, it was nasty. Probably one of the worst Chinese restaurants in the world, in terms of food. The dish we got was partially cold and way too strong in MSG, too salty and hard. And the fried rice is not fried rice, they probably just put together old rice and soy sauce, tasted like dirt, a 3 year-old could do better. Absolutely awful food, don't waste your money. I admit that I have somewhat avoided going to T-Bone for years because the idea of sweet and sour chicken being cooked next to a bacon cheese burger just sounds so, so strange to me. ...I'm exaggerating of course, not implying that they literally cook side by side.... but a crazy craving for Chinese food hit and no where near us was open on a Sunday, so we figured "this place has been around for SO long, they can't be horrible, right??" I am so happy we took the chance. First things first: customer service was awesome. Even the phone call placing the order, the person I spoke to was helpful, patient (I had no idea what they HAD) and friendly. The order was ready SUPER fast (and there were plenty of customers when I went in to pick it up) and the two gentleman working at the counter were extremely nice (even gave my daughter a cookie while I paid). The food was great too, absolutely no complaints ***edit from my husband: only complaint is that we were told the beef with garlic sauce would be spicy. It wasn't. LOL (We had chicken lo-mein, sesame chicken, beef with garlic sauce and fried won tons - tons left over!) We'll definitely order again and not as a last resort. Very fast lunch service! I was in the restaurant for less than two minutes and was given a seat, my drink, a menu, and some tasty egg drop soup with vegetables. My entree was served in about five minutes and was tasty and hot. My only complaint is that I heard employees arguing quite close to me, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. I just had a super weird experience here, I called for take out got a steak asked for mushrooms on top he said ok twice then I asked if they had soup he said yes and then told me we needed to bring our own bowls so I said nevermind, asked for a chefs salad and said they only had regular salad, went and got our meals there were no mushrooms on the steak and I got a box full of just lettuce I love their food but they make it so difficult probably won't do take out there again :( read more

This is for sure the best Chinese in Springville. This is what I grew up thinking Chinese food was all about. My family loves this joint and the owner has a great sense of humor. Try their Halibut - and baked potato; go on the weekend and get some great carrots that they only do on weekends. Their halibut is extremely reasonable, and prepared great. The service was great, very happy and helpful. Even brought out 2 more soups then we requested.... and billed us, but whatever qho doesnt like thick creamy egg drop soup? And that leads tothe food...it is so aweful. It is bland and I am pretty sure it comes out of a precooked frozen bag and is reheated. Nothing was good. But the portions are humongous if you want copious amounts of mediocre food. But be warned I got food poisoning and have been laid up in bed for 2 days with all the nasty symptoms and stomach pains. This is the most confused restaurant ever. It started as a roadhouse, and has the Elvis and James Dean and Jukebox interior to support that. Then a Chinese family bought it and turned it into a Chinese restaurant. Only the locals wanted their road house. So they kept the roadhouse decor and menu and added Chinese decor and menu to it. IF there was ever a restaurant in need of Restaurant Impossible, this one screams for the help. Their Chinese food is mediocre at best, but their American food is a little better. I'd have to say the chunky cooked carrots were my favorite. Come here if you want a unique experience . . . Chinese lanterns and deer antlers on the wall together. . . Marilyn Monroe and Chinese luck cats on the shelf . . . It's one confused place. At least it's cheap and filling and the decor gives you plenty to discuss.. I wanted to like this place. I live nearby and have been trying to find decent Chinese food. This is not the place. On the positive side, the service was good. We were seated quickly. But things were very hit and miss. The decor is bizarre. Things are old. It is not clean. The air conditioning duct up on the ceiling is disgusting which made me wonder about how clean the kitchen is. Our party ordered sodas to drink. My Diet Coke came quickly but was flat and they decided to put a chunk of lemon in it which I didn't want. Our party ordered Chinese and American food. The Chinese food came first but the burger came about 5 minutes later so we had to decide if we rudely ate while our food was hot or waited for the burger to arrive. The Chinese food was mediocre. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants! Now other reviewers are correct. this place is definitely not high class by any means, and is not pristine in condition. But i consider T-bone a gem of a find. I personally Love their Chinese food. It's not the best in the world but in my opinion it is much better than most other restaurants I've been to in Utah. (and I've been to A LOT!) When it comes to Chinese food, price is of no worry if i find a good place, but TBone is relatively inexpensive for what you can get. We always order family style and easily fed 5 of us for only $30. We even took home enough food to more than fill another person. The portions are large and The Sesame chicken is in my opinion their "star attraction". For what it is T bone is very underrated. The staff is friendly and fun. If you're not expecting a High-class, suit and tie -food sprinkled with gold flake- atmosphere, then you probalby will not be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, i often visit the "5 star" establishments in utah, that are expensive, come with 30 something exotic courses, and require a suit and 2 ties. Beware we had lunch there today and the food was terrible. The chicken fried steak was made with spoiled meat and my husband couldn't eat it. When I reported the problem to them, they blew it off and made no attempt to make us satisfied. I had their cashew shrimp lunch. I suffered and upset stomach a short while later. I have loved T-Bone for years. Having lived in Springville, this is where the locals go. I've eaten here more than any other restaurant ever. The portions are large and the prices very reasonable. My favorite thing is the sweet and sour soup, definitely the best in Utah. Other favorites are the clam chowder (Fridays), the halibut, the ribeye, the prime rib, and the Chinese food combos. I also love that it's friendly and family-owned. Now that I've moved to Riverton, I'm going to miss going here weekly. read more

Excellent service from the minute you walk in, delicious chunky clam chowder, egg drop better than average. The sweet and sour chicken was tasty, but seemed a little too greasy. Cashew chicken was great! Friends said prime rib was over cooked and dry, but the carrots were sweet and cooked perfectly. The halibut steak was nice, but could have used a minute less on the grill (slightly dry).
