Why is this place called T-Bone? I have no idea. They do have a T-Bone on the menu but if you look at their median dish, it definitely isn't a T-Bone. My friends and I go out to dinner frequently. They picked me up and said, " we are going to T-Bone". Being an avid foodie in the area, I was embarrassed to have never heard of T-Bone but I am very grateful it was introduced to me. Let's keep it real, T-Bone is extremely outdated and not the cleanest place. However, I still absolutely loved my experience here. My friends and I chose to do a family style dinner where we just order a bunch of food and then share it all around with each other. This worked out great as we were able to sample all kinds of dishes and try a little bit of everything. To start, we got some of the cream cheese wontons; I don't know if I am dumb and eating them wrong or if other people just have stronger mouths...but are you supposed to take the whole wonton in one go? It is hard to take little bites of them but they are also a bit big for one bite. Regardless, the wontons were good and the sweet and sour sauce accompanied the wontons very well. The beef and broccoli was pretty good and so was the Mongolian beef. My friends commented that the beef seemed to have a weird texture and I am not sure if I agree with that or not. The sides of rice and noodles were good. If I am being honest, there wasn't a whole lot of flavor with the rice and noodles but they still had great texture and accompanied the entrees quite well. Now my favorite was definitely the sesame chicken. I am a huge sucker for sesame chicken, especially if it is done right. The chicken had the most amazing texture and the sauce that was on it tasted great. While at T-Bone, I literally felt like I was in a fever dream. I felt like I time traveled back several decades. As aforementioned, T-Bone is very dated, but I kind of love them for that. It seems like the walls and all the decor have been the same since before I was born. It is all very retro and does not have a theme whatsoever. It added extreme character to the restaurant and I loved it. It was unique and different from any other place I have been to. For Utah, this is pretty good Chinese food. My friend swears they have the best coffee as well. The portions are huge, almost too much, but then we have lunch the next day. Unfortunately the name reflects the quality of the food here, like being T-boned in you car. Have not handed out a one star in years but felt obligated to tell it like it is. I knew it was odd to name a Chinese restaurant after an American steak classic so maybe that was the best choice for an entree. Took no pictures because it was not worthy of wasting space on my phone. I had the chicken LoMein and it was so greasy I brought the whole thing home and used it to lube my lawn mower. The Egg Rolls were not any better as I needed to hold it with a napkin because it was soaked with oil. The other entree has already been pushed into a closet of my mind so I won't waste time other than to say the snow peas were crunchy. The staff was attentive and friendly but they should find a new chef or sent them to SanFran, NYC or London for training, all place's where I have enjoyed amazing Chinese food. Even New Jersey is a 10 compared to this place. Ownership needs to take a hard look at what they are serving or maybe they just don't care? PS, don't visit any other place in the Spanish Fork vicinity as they are only slightly better. read more

We took a visiting friend to dinner at Tbone Restaurant tonight. Our server was attentive, witty and excellent. Our friend "only orders Kung Pao chicken " and stated to us and our server that it was the best he'd ever had. We ordered Orange Chicken and General Tsao's Chicken. Both were very good also. The servings were large. We're not far from this place and will be back soon. The place inside was clean. We decided to try this place for lunch and ordered the sesame chicken meal and orange chicken extra spicy. There was only one server and she never checked on us during our visit so service was not good. The place was dirty and uninviting. Our food came out fast but we immediately regretted ordering as nothing looked fresh. Their way of making orange chicken extra spicy was to provide a side cup of salsa instead of sweet and sour. They put what looked like spicy mustard in the same container but it was so bad that it had either spoiled or had heavy chem mixed with it. We didn't try the fried rice as it looked like it had been repurposed from prior meals. The chicken was similar to the DIY meals you can get at grocery stores so edible but not worth eating more than a few pieces. Overall would not recommend and will not be back. read more

We just moved to Utah from the San Francisco Bay Area, and one of the first things we had to do was find a good Chinese restaurant, because good Chinese food was definitely something we would miss about the Bay Area. We were just driving by when we saw T Bone. We each got a lunch special. The lunch special comes with a pretty good sized cup of soup, two entrees, and rice. Love the steak and Chinese food here. The steaks are cooked on a flat grill which I love, it seals in the steak juices. Ample portions. The steaks are served on a hot plate topped with grilled onions then a potato, roll and vegetable on the side. It also comes with a salad or soup. If you go on a Friday or Saturday, the vegetable is carrots - my favorite. This is one place we always get an appetizer, the meat won tons with sweet and sour sauce. This is an owner/operator restaurant. Dad is the cook, mom and kids are servers. This is a local favorite for steaks and Chinese food. (I know it sounds weird to have steaks and Chinese food together but it works.) The negative, this place needs a deep cleaning and updated décor. The servers could use a little more professional server training. We'll go back because we like this place. read more

The food here is equivalent to day old gas station chinese food. The fried rice is nothing more than steamed rice with a squirt of soy sauce and a sprinkle of peas, I've ordered both the chow mein and lo mein and what I got was completely the same thing (a glob of cabbage and slimy "noodles" which look and taste like the stuff that comes in a can you buy in the Asian food section at Walmart). My wife and I got the sweet and sour pork and it literally tasted like it was made a day before and reheated and refried. The steak is so fresh and thin that I wouldn't be surprised if the cow was butchered and served that same day (dry aged steak is better, believe me). The customer service is "meh" and the only reason for the 1 star is the fried wantons are pretty good. All-in-all if you're looking for exquisite Chinese this is not the place. I would recommend Panda Express before this place. Update: My wife and I just got food poisoning, so...I'm never eating there again. read more

I have tried to like T-Bone, I really have. Everything I have had is bland and mediocre. I have tried the lemon chicken, the sesame chicken (which came highly recommended by my coworkers), and the almond chicken. The food is incredibly oily and the sauces lack flavor. The shrimp I had seemed to be previously frozen and deep fried. The chicken was very dry as well. All three times I have been there it has been clean and the service has been fantastic. They prepare and serve their dishes incredibly quick. The decor alone makes going once worth while. Cacti statues along side lucky cats makes for quite the visual experience. read more

Well for about a year we would drive by t-bone and think to ourselves, "why is this parking lot ALWAYS full?" Then we came to the realization that they must be a front for some other type of "business." Finally we said to ourselves that we needed to find out what all the fuss was about. Service was a 9/10 but food was a 3/10. Food was not fresh and most likely frozen. The fried rice wasn't mixed all together so white rice peaked through and the lo mein was on super slime duty. The chicken was chewy, everything was drowned in some unknown congealed sauce and the egg rolls reeked once opened. This is definitely the bottom of the barrel for American Chinese food. I'd go to Panda any day of the week before I went here again. I guess all the fuss was just from people who haven't eaten even average food in their lives.
