Finally we heard from a trusted coworker that it was certainly worth checking out. We were jot disappointed! This location just after midnight-30 only had a few people inside still with ample seating and great, accessible parking. We were greeted upon entry and asked to seat ourselves. The waitstaff was kind and welcoming despite the night hour - I can imagine running a 24hr diner can be a hellscape but this staff was wonderful. Everyone was so gracious and personable. I ordered cheese fries for the table, pancakes for myself, and my spouse the mushroom and cheese omelette plate. These are seriously my ideal pancakes. Dense enough they don't soak and fall apart, spongy enough to hold the butter without soaking up all the syrup. The perfect amount of salty and sweet and the right amount of bite. And massive! I couldn't be happier. My spouse's omelette was really well seasoned and the fresh egg flavour really shined through. Hashbrowns were perfectly crisp and toasty - didn't feel over frozen or fake. I saw shoestring fries on other yelp photos and knew we needed to try them. The added cheese sauce was heaven. It didn't have that super fakey cheese taste and was actually quite cheddar-y and warm. With everything being cooked to order and super fresh, we were still served very timely! As we dined, they picked up quite a few more customers but everyone stayed well taken care of by the staff. It's a chill diner without a lot of noise even when a little busier and a television streaming. It's not like those overly fluorescent lit 24hr diners you may be familiar with. It definitely fit the needs and time! We can't wait to come back for burgers!

We tried some of the items on their summer specials menu including: ham & cheese croissant, chicken dumpling soup, multi-grain chocolate chip pancakes, and the Mediterranean bowl. The Mediterranean bowl had tons of flavor and we love that kind of dish. The soup was packed with yummy dumplings too. The coffee was nice and mild diner coffee like I love. The staff were all so sweet and kind. We definitely will be back to sample more of their huge menu! Would be a great stop before or after your trip to the State Fair!

The staff was incredibly accommodating and made hosting a larger party so easy. Our server, Patricia (Pat), was fantastic! There were so many great entrée options that everyone found something they loved. There is a full bar, with many specialty drinks available as well. They even had an extra table set up as a place for the gifts and cake, which was so nice to not have it crowded in the seating area. It helped make the celebration even more special. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend having it here!

We both ordered steaks that were flavorfully seasoned and cooked as ordered. The only thing negative about our experience was the carrot cake. We were told that the cake was homemade so I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed when the dessert was brought to the table. The carrot cake was a small square that looked as though it was cut from a 9" x 13" pan. We were both expecting it to be a slice from a traditional layer cake. The cake tasted okay but I guess I expected it to be a bit more flavorful. Despite the disappointing dessert we plan on returning to the Steakout. The atmosphere, service, and flavorful steaks are worth another visit.

The Steakout - Milwaukee, WI…read more If you're headed to Milwaukee, The Steakout is an absolute must. I eat steak at least once a week, both at home and at restaurants. At home, I know exactly what my family and I like. Ordering steak out is always a bit of a gamble. My husband usually avoids it because 1) we (well I) make great steak at home and 2) every other business meeting seems to happen at a steakhouse. The Steakout is the exception. This place was a solid 10/10 from start to finish. The Atlantic Salmon was an absolute masterpiece. Yes...even in the Midwest. Sushi-grade salmon, perfectly seared on the outside with a buttery medium-rare center. We almost ordered the walleye because, well, Wisconsin. Instead, we took a chance and were rewarded big time. Paired with a bright lemon aioli and served over a rich butter broth, every bite made us look at each other and say, "Okay...this was the right decision." Aside from finding a couple fish bones (because fish are, in fact, made of fish and bones), this dish was outstanding. Now let's talk Prime Rib. Prime rib and I have a complicated relationship. I see it on a menu and immediately think, "this is the one." Then about half the time I spend the rest of dinner wishing I'd ordered something else, like a trusty ribeye or NY Strip. Not here. The Steakout absolutely nailed it. Perfectly medium rare, juicy, flavorful, with a fantastic au jus, beautifully seared asparagus, and just the right thickness. Honestly, I don't know what they could've done better. I couldn't make anything up even if I tried! The French Onion Soup was another winner. Rich, cheesy, and exactly what you hope for when you order French onion soup. And because it's a true Midwest supper club, dinner started with a warm bread basket and a classic relish tray loaded with fresh vegetables, pickles, and olives. Honestly, I wish every restaurant still did this. Bring back relish trays! Of course, no great steak dinner ends without dessert. Even though we were absolutely stuffed, we ordered the tiramisu to go. "To go" lasted approximately five minutes. By the time we waddled to the car looking like Violet after her Willy Wonka blueberry fiasco, that tiramisu didn't stand a chance. Thankfully, we headed straight to Milwaukee's Summerfest afterward to walk off at least a few of the calories. Zero regrets. For the quality of food, the portions, and the overall experience, The Steakout is incredibly reasonably priced. If you're anywhere near Milwaukee, do yourself a favor and put this one at the top of your list.
