Clearly a great family-run business - we even got to meet some of the family! Such high-quality ingredients and everything was cooked to perfection! We tried some of the items on their summer specials menu including: ham & cheese croissant, chicken dumpling soup, multi-grain chocolate chip pancakes, and the Mediterranean bowl. I also had a bit of decaf coffee. The ham on the sandwich was so thick and nice! The pancakes had perfect pancake texture - a little crisp on the edge with a soft middle. The Mediterranean bowl had tons of flavor and we love that kind of dish. The soup was packed with yummy dumplings too. The coffee was nice and mild diner coffee like I love. Whenever I'm craving a gyro I tend to order from Pegasus the prices are reasonable and they are one of those spots that had almost anything you can think of on the menu so anyone can find what they are looking for! I went to Pegasus for lunch around 1:30 on a Wednesday, and it was no longer crowded. The hostess completely ignored me and seated an older couple standing behind me. She never returned to smooth things over or acknowledge me at all, so I stormed out of the restaurant with nothing to eat. I later called and registered a complaint about this "old bag," and I was assured that it would be looked into. This goes to show that rudeness isn't limited to young people, although they are often accused of it. I have eaten there before and have generally liked the food, but that was a few years ago, but now I still hesitate to go there again, after that experience. I should also add that people who dine alone are often treated this way everywhere, as they don't generate enough business, but I'll also be sure to tell all my friends about this mishap. read more

We got served immediately on a Sunday at noon. The waitress was knowledgeable about the kitchen. The ambiance was cookie cutter traditional Greek-American diner like Omega. There was several slot machines right behind us and the tables next to us were about a foot too close. There was a couple odd customers. The Creamy chicken soup was pretty good, comfort soup. The Texas BBQ Chicken Sandwich I liked but the bottom Texas bread got soggy from the heat and everything somewhat fell apart. More than eight years ago, I wrote a review that definitely needs an update. Pegasus is my favorite restaurant to go to for lunch or breakfast. Their kitchen rocks. The food is outstanding and always consistent. Portions are hearty and the quality of the product is the best. Specials every day on the menu and on their chalk board. Sandwiches are thick and burgers are juicy, always coming the way it is ordered. Their entree salads are the best in MKE, IMHO. Breakfasts or lunch, one can order a side of fruit instead of fries/potatoes, etc. The fruit is always cut up cantaloupe and honeydew in a cup. Coffee is excellent! The servers here are professional and friendly. If you sit at the counter, you'll see what I mean. They look at and make sure they are getting what their customer's asked for before serving. They prepare the dishes for service with care and efficiency. Pegasus always has fresh bakery items; cakes, cheese cakes, baklavah, etc., all of which are the highest quality. The restaurant is full of comfortable leather booths and large tables that are very comfortable. The restaurant has plenty of on site parking, but street parking is also abundant. We still like this place, but come on, guys, time to go back to 24 hours. We have nowhere to go after Brewers games or just after a late night of work. I had an issue with the word choice used on the menu because it was misleading, so I got less food than I expected. The waitress agreed with me. Then the manager came over with a rude and snobby attitude. She started the conversation by saying "What's your problem huh?". I explained what my issue was, and she responded spitefully. The other day I ordered a four piece fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a takeout order, so I didn't know what I was getting till I arrived at home . The soup was pretty good, the chicken was pretty good, the potatoes were pretty good, but I cannot figure out why with a chicken dinner they would put beef gravy on the potatoes. Me and my mom came here about a month ago for lunch. I've only been here once after bowling with some friends and we wanted to grab a bite to eat afterwards. I enjoyed my breakfast so it wanted to try something new on their menu. When you arrive there the staff were in masks and had customers spaced out for health and safety purposes due to Covid. Both me and my mom ordered the lasagna which was half the dinner size portion but it also came with soup and dessert. They also have affordable drink prices so we both decided to have one to go with our meal. The chicken soup that came with it was seasoned well and came with slices of homemade bread which we enjoyed. When we received our food, we both thought this is half the dinner portion? I can't imagine what you get for dinner! The lasagna was piping hot, came with a side garlic bread and was covered in gooey mozzarella. We both ended up eating half of it and brought the rest home. We both took our dessert home as well because for me there was no room for cheesecake lol. Three and a half stars please. I've been home all day not feeling well and wanted something comforting for dinner. I ordered delivery through a service and it arrived relatively quickly. I got meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. Fair to say it's more diner or cafeteria food than actual items made by a chef. Even so, it was delicious and hit the spot. I am in another state, and have been ordering on line, and the Pegasus could not be doing a better job, getting food to a sick family member. I am worried miles away, They are kind and with each order work with me to assure me that I have done what I needed to on the computer (ok I have computer issues) Daily , and my family sounds better on the phone, and I know the food is getting to them. Disappointing. Haystack onions were soggy and over salted, not crisp. Chicken wings had plenty of meat and were very tender. The BBQ sauce lacked flavor and was poured onto the wings too thickly. Blue cheese dressing for the wings contained little blue cheese and had little blue cheese flavor. The Greek salad was excellent. Portion sizes for all items were generous. read more

I had the gyro and eggs with toast/hash browns. See the picture. Toast was wheat, white or rye. A Greek place and they don't have Greek toast. The gyro meat was standard. Came in here after searching for 24 hour dining and avoiding Johnny V's like the plague. Staff was friendly and attentive, even at 3:00am on a Friday night. We were seated in a booth by the fish tank and our server came right over. I wanted a chocolate malt, and she made it sooo great. My whole table "helped" to devour it. The menu is extensive, offering all sorts of cuisines. I opted for a skillet, one person got the corned beef hash, one got biscuits and gravy and one got a gyro sandwich (or wrap... i don't remember for obvious reasons). One member of our party promptly fell asleep upon food delivery, so I'll never know how the biscuits and gravy were, but they looked nasty, and lacked the eggs that were supposed to come with it. My skillet was seriously awesome - and I ate every bite. The gyro wrapwich and CBH were also devoured. Our server was very friendly and quick, and the experience was actually decent! No matter what time of day I have come here I have always enjoyed my food for what it is.....diner food from a very large menu. Actually I thought the Greek omelette was one of the better ones I've had in the city. What stands out to me is the very different dining experience that can be had, depending on the day and day of the week. The Friday/Saturday 3am "After bar crowd" can be pretty loud and disruptive. It was way too salty and the noodles turned to mush. My husbands soup was okay. I told the waitress and she brought me a cup of the clam chowder at no extra cost. When the meals came out they looked pretty decent. My husband said his was okay except for a couple areas on the lamb that were really tough. My shrimp was really good. Perfectly crunchy on the outside. I would probably order it again. Both of our fries were horrible. They were cold and unseasoned. The waitress clearly did not want to be there and she seated a group of drunk people (8) right next to us even though there was no one else in the restaurant and plenty of open tables. I mentioned they were really loud and distracting and she did nothing about it. She never asked them to be quiet. I also noticed when they were seated she immediately brought all of them a glass of water. She didn't give or even offer us water. As I paid and was signing the receipt the manager (who I mentioned earlier) was hovering over me and I could smell his breath and his body odor. It made my stomach turn. When I got home I decided it was time to eat the piece of cake I got. I opened the container and the smell of the cake was not good. I took 1 bite and couldn't even swallow it.
