This is a typical diner food. We had flaming cheese and it was it very melted. We did have the broasted chicken, chicken soup, urban soup, an omelet , spaghetti, and Croissant sandwich, The chicken was juicy and ok. The soups were very tasty and delicious. The spaghetti was loved by the kid. The omelet was demolished and nothing left. We all had no leftover so that goes to say was a good meal. Wanted dessert but was to full. They looked yummy. If you're around it's worth the try. Service was good she was a busy gal. There was two servers for the place. Loved the old decorations it was very nostalgic. read more

Good place to go with a group of friends on Sunday for lunch/brunch. It's a diner with pretty much all kinds of food for all tastebuds. Steak & Shrimp combo with 3 jumbo shrimp - $16 Steak was cooked perfectly. I had 2 5oz pieces rather than one 10oz piece, and the shrimp weren't really "jumbo" but large. The side of hash brown came on a separate plate cuz it was huge. Hubby had the chicken Fried Steak w mashed potato and gravy $13 It was really good. Just remember to ask for the gravy on the side next time. maybe the mashed potato on the side too. Check your receipts - they forgot to apply the Sunday price and I had to get it fixed. A shout out to our server Filla! She seemed so grouchy at first, but it's just her first impression. Really sweet and took care of us efficiently. My family and I live near the Olive tree Café, having moved down here in March we have been searching for a family run restaurants. Olive tree café has a very extensive menu, a very good breakfast, the fish fry is outstanding, if you're a liver and onions person, I am. This is your home. The wait staff and the owners are very friendly, they do a tomato macaroni soup from scratch which is outstanding. And the price is right. Oh did I mention they have a great New York style cheesecake that you can get with pretty much whatever fruit you want on top. We've been here a number of times since March. I would highly recommend stopping it. read more

We have never had a bad meal here. The staff is always friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Not to mention their soups are fantastic!

While our waitresses were kind and helpful, Olive Tree should be ashamed of themselves! My family made a 25-person reservation to be together on the one year anniversary of my grandfather's death. This was his favorite restaurant. When the reservation was made, we had the option to book a hall or not, and decided on a large table in the restaurant (not a hall) during their least busy time of day (confirmed by staff member). The decision to decline the hall was understood by the staff member on the phone. This reservation was made a month in advance. When we arrived, we were sat at a large table in the dining room, not in a rentable hall. Each family member was given a menu with prices next to each item. We were absolutely appalled when a single bill arrived at the end of our meal for a flat rate of $800. Several people just had a drink, or a bowl of soup and salad. Even if every single person in our party got the most expensive dish on the menu- our bill wouldn't have been CLOSE to $800! When the restaurant was questioned why we didn't get an itemized check, and how they came to the bill of $800, they said they had to "figure it out". When we finally got a "revised" bill, it was $700 including a "hall rental fee" for a hall we did not inhabit. They could not tell us why we were charged $28 per person and not the amount stated on the menu provided to us, or why they couldn't remove the hall rental fee. 18% gratuity is standard on a large party meal, but $700 isn't our meals plus 18% gratuity! If we didn't question why our bill was $800, would they have charged us an extra $100 simply because they could? What a lovely way to treat a grieving family! Olive Tree should be ashamed of themselves. It is unbelievable they have the audacity to behave this way to loyal, paying customers. read more

It's old people food, it's fine. Service was fine. We came here as a family get together because it was the one year anniversary of my grandpa's passing, we've occasionally done large dinners here the whole family, as it was my grandpa's favorite restaurant. There was 25 of us, in the past we all just order from the menu, on one bill, no big deal, we took care of splitting it up. I moved out of the area and haven't been back since grandpa passed, today we had this big dinner and they charged us like we had it catered, gave us a limited menu and charged us like it was $40 a person. The bill was $800, we felt completely taken advantage of because none of this was talked about when we called to see if there was a good time in the day to accommodate a party of 25. read more

had fish fry, very delicious but portions were very small and left hungry. Fish was like a fish stick, small smount of fries (about 10), cole slaw was a tiny plastic container of 2 teaspoon fulls. Rye bread was only item that was a good size and the salad, you can also choose a cup of clam chowder or chicken dumpling instead of soup. Other restaurants guve a much larger pieces of fish, coleslaw and fries for this price, it was worth $9.99 but over priced for $14! read more

The bathroom is what keeps me from going there. It never smells or looks clean. Especially the toilets. Eeeeewewww! Not a good sign when eating at a restaurant. I have also had problems with flies at this location. Too many red flags. The food is good and the service is good. I just can't bring myself to go there anymore. read more

This review is on the staff and one food item - the bucket of fish!! We are always looking for a way to feed our family a cheaper but tasty fish fry. This one delivers. We've been going here for years even before it was Olive Tree. The food is ok but the owner is a nasty person and got upset when we requested a server we've known for years and our three year old son loves. When my wife tried to explain to him why we wanted the server, he got loud and spoke over her telling us it's his rules in his Resturant. Well sir, you can have your Resturant and your rules but we will never be back. We had been going multiple times a week. read more

Newly opened at the site of the Market Place Cafe, at the intersection of Puetz Rd. and Highway 32, the owner has extended the hours of operation and has a full range of items from breakfast through lunch and dinner. Exercise caution when using your credit card at this restaurant. I was charged again for a different (unknown) amount two days after my visit. I called the restaurant to resolve and the person in charge was uninterested in helping me. I gave them all the details and amounts they needed to reference the ticket from my first and only visit. However, they indicated they were uniterested in doing this without me coming onsite, which would have been unnecessarily burdensome. The manager refused to get on the phone with me and instead put one of the servers/hosts in the way to proxy. I'm really disappointed with this experience. read more

So, not much to say. Food was OK but nothing special. Mozzarella sticks, couldn't really taste any seasoning even in the marinara. The patty melt, the burger patty had little seasoning-fine as the flavor should really come from the other stuff in a melt-unfortunately there was no flavor in the rye bread, the onions or even the butter, and the bread lacked even a hint of crispness. Oh, and not a grain of salt on the fries. That said, no failure in seasoning or execution. The menu, lots of choices and good value for the money. read more

OWNER AND STAFF ARE RUDE!!! I came in with my grandma, we asked for a table for 4 adults and 2 kids (the rest were meeting us), they tried to give us a booth and the owner got annoyed when we asked for a table instead as my grandma can't sit in booths. We were told there weren't any open tables and this is when a server comes up and when I tell her we need a table instead of a booth. At this point she's getting annoyed too that we can't take the booth even with open tables. Who I'm assuming is the owner's son then came over and was able to seat us at a table right away. As we were passing the older owner, he grumbled "go ahead" in an angry manner. Then the server says "I'm not taking that table" loud enough for us to hear it. Our very kind server Sheila came right away so I know the table we sat at was in an open section. The food wasn't worth being treated rudely and it took a long time to come out. They have "Greek" specialties. No way. A friend suggested this restaurant, and we went today (4 November 2022). I ordered the spinach pie (Spanakopita--they don't use this name) with gyro meat. I thought it was traditional spanakopita made with gyro meat mixed in. What I got was something that looked like a spinach Hot Pocket and a pile of meat with some sliced onions on top. The "pie" was tasteless--none of the spices you expect--and was oily. I think it was pre-frozen and then deep fried. The gyro meat was awful. I've had this dish for years, but this was something I've never experienced. All the edges of the meat were burnt! How is this possible if you slice the meat, fresh, from the lovely spindle of spiced beef and lamb? They obviously dish out pre-sliced meat, throw it on a flat top to re-heat, and in my case delivered dried-out, burnt meat. On top of that, we had flies buzzing around the table--never a good sign. Additionally, my friend asked for an upgrade to onion rings--no way--and settled for hash browns with onion. He was charged an additional fifty cents for onions. Will not go back. read more
