Came in for lunch during the week and its an interesting experience. The owner does not speak much....I ordered at the counter and then took a table. The just take order and bring the food out. The worst restaurant I ever went to. I went in today, is not that it's busy. It's empty! The guy owner which always rude, I thought covid will make him better, NO! He come bring me drink, take my order without asking me or say Hi, bring my appetizer-wife bring my soup- and that's it. Food? Nothing like the picture. I can't believe they still here! This place is amazing hands down best pho I've eaten compare to Lowell and Dorchester. As somebody who also is Vietnamese, speaks a lot. If you're trying to get pho that's closer than Lowell, this hits the spot! How rich and clear the broth is, takes a lot of skills to create that even I can't do and my mom when we make pho. The service is great. They are respectful and kind. The language barrier is there, but they understand and are respectful when you come in and eat the food that is made with LOVE. The ambiance is your go-to mom and pop spot where you would call this your second home and I appreciate that nowadays with not a lot of people who don't take full appreciation of the culture and authenticity. My boyfriend and I will be coming back here for now on every week and I do hope they get more people to come here! read more

A friend and I had heard great things about this place but sadly, it did not live up to our expectations. It started with our waiter (not sure if he was the owner) who walked over to our table and dropped menus...no hello, nada. Then he dropped off a pitcher of cold tea and said nothing. Waited for us to look like we were ready to order and we ordered by number which he repeated and went away. An older lady (maybe his wife) brought each dish over and we asked for a two extra plates and an extra spoon to share our soup and she brought one plate, no spoon. Our other dishes were served by her as well ... no speaking there either. No one ever came to see if we needed anything. The spring rolls were OK, mostly filled with lettuce and possibly one shrimp, the broccoli in both dishes was tough and tasted old, the shrimp also had a funny taste and I found a hair in my shrimp dish. The soup was so salty that I could barely finish one small bowl. The chicken stir fry was probably the better of the dishes but also very salty. We observed people paying at the counter so I walked up and the male waiter just flipped one of the two open handwritten checks toward me so I could see the total and absolutely said nothing to me. I paid and he never said thank you. I'm pretty sure they speak a little English or could at least smile???? We never leave food behind and sadly we did. Maybe just an "off" day but this was their first chance to make a good impression and it wasn't for us. We'd give this place negative stars but that doesn't exist in Yelp! read more

This was probably the worst bun bo hue I have ever eaten. Watery and tasteless. No flavor but the smell of shrimp paste. Seem pretty popular during lunch hour and service was fast until you need to pay. My ice coffee also watered. Sad. Hoping that this mom and pop would satisfied my craving. read more

It was our first time at this restaurant. I was craving for Pho all week. When we walked in at 7:30pm the young man and an older woman were in the kitchen area and looked up at us and went back to their business. No greeting. Ignored us until I finally asked if we can sit down. Yelp says the place is open from 9-9. Just a note, they close at 8pm on a Friday. We were the only people in the restaurant. The young man finally sat us down and placed two menus on the table. No conversation still. He brought us some flavored iced tea for the table. We knew we wanted Pho and ordered right away. The soup came to our table within ten minutes. Luke warm and so so. Needless to say, we ate and left the place within 30 minutes of arriving. The place is on a main street. Very active and busy with grocery stores, nail salons and cell phone shops. Parking is easy on the street. A couple car alarms kept on going off during our short stay which was a little concerning. It looked like there was parking in the rear, but since I wasn't familiar with the location, I admit that I was nervous. I can't recommend this place because I hate being ignored when I arrive at any restaurant. Who wants a customer to walk out? And we were about to. The place is clean and orderly. We had been traveling for a few days and wanted Vietnamese food. Found this place near my grandmother's house. We also eat a lot of Vietnamese food back in WA so we know our Pho. Any negative review on here is undeserved. Weird complaint about the server not being overly friendly? The staff were very sweet, sat us quickly and served super fast. The pho had a nice bit of garlic on top that I had not had before. I got the tofu and veggie and my husband got the one with the steak and "other meats" and loved his. I went in this place today for the first time, and what a shame that I just discoverd pho soup three months ago in Boston. This place has been there since early 2000s and I just tried it today. I went simple rare beef pho, they brought out the complimentary hot tea, the sprouts two sprigs of basil, and a lime, two minutes later out comes my bowl of soup, the broth was delish, the table was set up with the fish sauce, and siracha sauce, and where it was such a chilly day everything went to sooo good. I need to go back and try a few more things before I give it a five star, but everything looked soo good, and I am so happy I dont have to drive to Lowell or Boston to get some good pho. read more

We all loved the pho here for take out. We got an XL Xe Lua [C1] (that actually seemed the same size as the regular portion, at least for take-out), Beef ball noodle soup [C4], and the pork-fish cake-crabmeat [D2]. It was *delicious* broth!! I loved that they give large stems of Thai basil in the carry-out including a small sauce inside the carton. The noodles sort of melded together inside their carton once we got it home to eat, but once you mix in the soup they do separate a little more with some effort. The grilled beef and shrimp Bun's beef was too chewy. We liked the crispy egg rolls and got enough so everyone could eat 2 each. Friends said that it's larger than the typical size egg roll, and maybe not as crispy as they usually like it, but personally I loved them. (Pictured, is what was left.] Their sauces included with the meal were so tasty. It totally hit the spot. We each saved half the pho for our lunch the next day. Decent Vietnamese food. Price was okay but not super impressed by the pho. Chicken wings were very fresh and crispy and juicy but a little bland in the batter (great with sriracha). Spring rolls were yummy. The peanut sauce was good too. My father and I both got pho. He got the rare steak pho which he liked and I got one of the seafood bowls. Having eaten a lot of Vietnamese, I don't think this is top notch, but quite good for lunch. Service was fast and very helpful when answering questions. I recommend the fresh lemonade!!!! So good. T and N is our favorite place for Vietnamese , bar none. I've had this kind of food from a lot of places and none can compare. The fresh spring rolls are a popular item and with good reason, they are the finest around. The soups are great and plentiful, noodle and rice dishes are delicious and very economical . The Pad Thai is enough for two and a little different from the traditional recipe. Also their chicken wing are super crisp and terrific with a little chile and peanut sauce if that's your thing. Had the pineapple shake before and it was yummy. Parking for the most part is not a problem and service is fast... our server knows our routine, as soon as we come in,, two orders of spring rolls ,, coming up !! We have to get our T and N "fix" on a regular basis, or things ain't the same... try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised . read more

I have to say this place is alright! My friend decided on this place a couple times ... after both of us wanted hot soup with the recent cold new england days ! We both ordered chicken noodle pho, and didn't leave anything behind. I noticed they have one set size (rather than the typical small, large, extra large options). I also noticed the chicken was very soft, and they combine a mix or dark and white meat (usually I see only white meat). Place is in located on a main street in Lawrence, and parking is available behind the building. Service was pretty fast, considering that we were pretty much the only customers at the time ... Based on my single, abysmal visit? One star. My dining companion and I sought the comfort of a steaming bowl of pho. He'd been before and said that it was good. He ordered the chicken pho. The meat looked mysterious; the soup had lettuce in it. He said it was not good. It was not what he remembered. There was no vegetarian pho, so I got pad Thai. It was, hands down, the worst I've ever had. Mushy tofu, limited veggies, glutinous noodles, cloyingly sweet sauce, no hint of spice or peanuts. I've heard good things about this place. It's rated a solid 4 stars now. I have no idea why. You know who has great pho (with a veggie option)? Pho 88 off of Drum Hill. Go there. read more

Food 0/5: I have never been disappointed in Pho as much as I am with this place. My family and I decided to head to this place because it was on the way from where we were heading. All 9 of us came in and the place was empty. The young man was quick to assemble three tables together and served us cold tea after 10-15 mins. We order all different things (Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Rice plates, dried vermicelli bowls, crispy noodles, etc). When our food came, every soup was luke warm....the soups are supposed to be HOT. My Bun Bo Hue was so disappointing, the Bun Bo Hue God would come down and slap the buhjeezus out of this place. Bun Bo Hue is supposed to be made with thick white round noodles, not vermicelli and why was my broth sweet instead of spicy? In fact, all the broths tastes the same, sweet with no distinction.. Service 2/5: The young man was very nice but seems too nervous. Just relaxed, we weren't going to bite his head off. He was quick to bring out our orders but seemed to forgotten about one. I overheard him asking in the kitchen for it and I heard a women voice coming from the kitchen. They rushed the order, and the crispy noodle plate came out under cooked. Blasted. This review is based on a couple of pick ups - one chance too many that I've given. This place is a little overpriced for watered down Vietnamese food. Take out food really shouldn't be -that- bad. The soup doesn't have the full body of a real pho of bones soaked for days. The spring rolls were dry and lifeless. However, the pho (while I'm highly critical) is a good starter for those people trying Vietnamese food for the first time and what not. The spices aren't too overwhelming and it has a light body so I think it'd be a nice way to ease into the cuisine (as opposed to scaring yourself to shits by eating authentic food right away). I ordered a food delivery from this restaurant and received the wrong Pho order. Ordered beef ball noodle soup but received a seafood-based one. Due to that huge mistake, it bring concerns on their mindfulness of the customers' health/food allergies. I ordered a basic porkchop and rice dish I could find; ordered one that was with a fried egg on top. More disappointment. - fried egg was oily that it came down from my fork to my hand. - Porkchop was not seasoned at all. Looked and tasted like it was just cooked; bland and tasteless. The nuoc tuong sauce didn't even taste like it should - taste like it came from a bought bottle/container of sauce. - even the side lettuce and cucumbers looks sad and soggy - The white rice looked and tasted like it has been in the rice cooker for too long. Also order the rice porridge with chicken - came out to look like rice, broth, and chicken mixed together. Doesn't look like a rice porridge. Overall, it was not authentic at all. It was not fresh and it doesn't seem homemade at all (like a cheap fast food of Vietnamese food with no heart). I am deeply disappointed and sad - this is my first bad experience with a Vietnamese restaurant. I've never been inside due to the pandemic but it has a promising atmosphere of Vietnam, but the food significantly went down. Our second trip to T&N, and we'll be back for more. The pho dac biet (vietnamese style beef noodle soup with brisket, flank, tendon, tripe and mysterious meatballs) was fresh and flavorful with a generous portion or bean sprouts, basil and lime (but no chili pepper) on the side. Some of the best I've had, and I've eaten a lot of pho dac biet. We also ordered chicken wings because there was a photo of it under the table glass. I love Pho and have it a million times at a million different places. But the soup here just tastes weird. Like it's old. And stinky. I've tried the chicken and beef broths and something is just 'off'. The fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce were typical...but you go eat vietnamese food to eat Pho. and if you're going to be good at making anything, it should be the Pho. I work in the area and sometimes it's satisfying when I really crave pho because there is no other pho joints nearby. I came here several times. The pho is okay, hits the spot when you really want it. I ordered the porkchop rice plate and it was awful! Tasted a little spoiled, something funky about it. What really turned me off was my last recent visit. It was not busy and I sat at a table where I was facing the kitchen and can see what goes on in there. First of all when I walked in, the lady (chef) was wiping down a table with a rag of which I am assuming is dirty... I then noticed she went to the kitchen to prepare pho and had not washed her hands from cleaning the table with the rag. Went in today for an avocado smoothie and got half the drink tasting highly concentrated with sugar and water. No taste of avocado whatsoever, just the color. The drink was pure liquid diabetes. There were textures of granulated sugar, like sandpaper in my mouth. When asked to have it made without sugar, the man refuses. The drink went straight to the trash after and opted for Starbucks instead. A Starbucks coffee costs just as much but at least it would have been made right and worth the while. read more
