We have solar so we have the a/c on 72 degrees 24/7. We changed the filters every 3 to 6 months. We were using the oven and had friends over and everyone was hot. We turned down the a/c but it was over 78 in the house. We contacted A & H, July 20, 2026 and they charge $280 for a diagnostic. The technician came out the next day and couldn't find anything wrong but added a pound of Freon. Total charge was $380. That seemed to work but it didn't stay cool for long. On Aug 3rd they came and added 2 more pounds of Freon and charged $200. September 30, 2026 and we are still running warm by the end of the evening and during the heat wave it's over 80+degrees. I called them last week, Wednesday. On Monday, they will have one of their techs be in touch with me. On Wednesday, I asked for an appointment and a team member will be in touch with me. It's 3:30 Thursday. Hopefully, someone will contact us soon. I'll let you know if there are any updates.

He even popped his head into the attic to look at some of the duct work which is the original to the house but still functioning. When he completed the inspection I asked him how he would prefer to be paid and he said "No Charge", everything is working as it should so you are go to go... I thought that was pretty swell:). Anyway, just thought I would pass along a very good HVAC service/ company in the South bay for those looking for a competitive price, quality products and great service... Even after sale service!

My issue was I needed a new compressor which the other two bozo clowns couldn't figure out. My only regret is that I wish I found John as my first contractor instead of interviewing and working with the other two bozos! I live in Newark. I scheduled an appointment for them to come check out my house, and Rudy showed up right on time. They even sent me a text with live tracking on the day of the appointment, which was a nice touch. Rudy was really nice and patient. He explained the different systems and gave me a couple of options without trying to push me into anything. I'm still not sure which system is best for my house, so I haven't made a decision yet. My current HVAC is almost three decades old, but I'm not in a hurry to replace it. Their quotes are competitive, and so far, I'm really impressed with the service. As they say, first impressions matter, and IRBIS definitely made a good one.
