Had an awesome meal, lots of food, wasn't too expensive. (Don't go to bacon go here instead) Syrup had a bustling staff all helping out and everything was great. Lots of natural light coming in from the big windows made for a sunny brunch to start the day right. Food was bad. Sausage links tasted strange and looked like tiny shriveled wizard pinkies. Crispy French toast was grainy and dry. Benedict barely had any hollandaise on it. Plain tater tots were the highlight of the meal. Don't waste your money here. read more

Do not place togo orders here they will leave your food to sit and get cold without any notice on doordash that it is ready.

Beignets were flat and doughy. For some reason they put syrup on them even though it was a takeout order, so they were also very soggy and extra gross by the time they got to me. Other than that, I ordered "The Remedy," and was throughly unimpressed. I've genuinely had tastier skillet meals from Denny's. read more

Worst French toast plate I've ever experienced. Three small pieces with some powdered sugar and butter. No sides, not even a fruit cup. I could've made that at home. Rip off. If you're going to serve your French toast with no sides, at least make it entree sized. What you are serving is basically an app. It's been about 6-7 years since my last syrup visit, and I couldn't remember why I never went back, so I stopped into the new location to try it out again, and I guess I'm done. This was a regular breakfast favorite, until this morning. I ordered the remedy which I order almost every time. But this time there was a huge hunk of what appeared to be meat fat in the mix. Oh dear! With the restaurant industry struggling, why can't a breakfast restaurant at least serve a hot breakfast? There are plenty of establishments that can achieve this and that are far less expensive than Syrup. This location is really noisy so the atmosphere for a nice Sunday brunch is a real miss, unless you don't want to speak people you are with! Ha ha. Plus the waitress got my order wrong, and although she said she screwed it up and took full responsibility I still ate a breakfast that was tepid and not exactly what I wanted. The wait for a correction was more than I could bare. It cost three of us $87 for a mimosa each and not so good food. First and last time for me to patronize this restaurant. read more

They charge a 2% autogratuity which you will discover on the check at the end of your meal. They say this is for wages of their employees, and you might feel good about paying it because of that, but legally they can use this any way they want because it is taxable revenue. Why they don't just raise their prices and pay their expenses I don't know. As for the food and service, it was fine. The food court was closed, so we walked over to the restaurant and had lunch. Let me start by saying my server was fantastic. Friendly, efficient, everything you hope for in a server. And the room is ok. It was very clean and well organized. Now the food. I had traditional eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the ham was very very tasty. The hollandaise sauce was tasty as well but was almost water-like. And this ends up making the muffin too soggy too early. It was accompanied by some traditional tater tots. I like tater tots but these were ice cold when they arrived so I didn't consume any after biting in to the first ones. Maybe cold tots are a thing and I'm just not up on the trends. So overall I would give the service a 5, the food a 3.5. But the real problem, I sat at the bar, is the very slick bar top, combined with the plate that was very nice but very slick, made it next to impossible to cut the food. When I first picked up knife and fork to go at it I almost shot the plate off of the bar. The only way to cut the food was to hold the plate against my chest while reaching and cutting from the front. It was really weird. And I'm not sure how one would remedy the situation without changing the bar top. I'll probably go back. I work in the neighborhood. I'll just try a sandwich. read more

Happy but unimpressed. There was an hour wait which is understandable on a Sunday morning. There was no system in place to notify guests by phone when a table was ready which seems a bit dated. The silverware was unpolished and mine had crusted egg on it-- pretty hard to miss. The food lacked flavor and was incredibly heavy. We all got savory so maybe the sweet options are what we should've gone for. Overall the service was great and we were having a good time, but I think that leadership could invest in fresher ingredients and a clear branding identity. Came right when they opened. Waited for five minutes before someone came and said to sit wherever we wanted. Then after we sat and got water and she gave us a few minutes, we ordered. I asked for a waffle on the side (assuming a waffle on the side was like a pancake on the side -$4 or $5 -- since the side pancake isn't officially listed either.) I specifically said "side waffle". Then we waited a long time before our waitress brought our food - two other groups who ordered theirs after us got theirs before us. Our just sat there. Food is mediocre- not as good when we first came when they were newly opened. When we got the bill, I knew I would be charged extra for the melons of fruit (because I asked if it could be all mixed together - berries and melons) and that was a hard no. (Even though waitress said she would ask?) but I was NOT expecting my SIDE waffle to be $11. We asked why and she came back saying that was the way on the menu. "We don't really have a side waffle like we do pancakes" - and I asked her for the future to clarify. For $11 the waffle should have been ENORMOUS but it was literally smaller than the size of a small side plate. I'm kicking myself for not asking ahead of time about the price of a side waffle. This is our last time being here before we move and honestly, you're not missing much by not going here. Super average food, decent "syrups" and then pretty slow service. read more

Went here for Mother's Day. There was no wait which was surprising. Took a while for our waitress to come back and take our order once we got our drinks. The omelette was a little dry but the pancakes were good. Our friend ordered an eggs Benedict and the eggs came out basically hard boiled. Nice atmosphere tho. read more

I gave it two stars since the food and the waiter were good. The problem is the sound system. They must think their customers are DEAF! No one could turn it down or change it to a classical or smooth jazz station. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place to have breakfast, this isn't the place. When we were there, the place was empty the entire time. No wonder. We may check back occasionally to see if they fixed the issue. If not, we will leave and not go back. Disappointed. The menu sounds great but almost everything we had was bland and tasteless. We tried the Beignets and Crack Bacon to start. Not sure who made the beignets but those were (overcooked) sopapillas. The crack bacon is supposed to be pepper and brown sugar but there was so much sugar, you could hardly taste the bacon much less the pepper. Our main meals were the Cherry Creeker and The California, both are benedicts. The eggs were cooked perfectly in both and you get a lot of the smashed tots but they tasted as if they were just of the bag frozen tots. Nothing special there for sure. The California had good vegetables and the Cherry Creeker had a fair amount of their homemade corned beef hash on it but you could not even taste the hollandaise on either. The corned beef also had no flavor. Service was great when we first got there but trailed off a little as we were finishing our meal, still not bad service though. Now the price. It was expensive, $70 with tip. They also sneak in a 2% surcharge due to the increase in the minimum wage. That should just be figured in to the cost of the food. Poorly done. read more

Eggs Benedict were very disappointing... need a new hollandaise recipe perhaps! Our server was very nice but AWOL through most of the meal!

Went for breakfast, the place was packed but we were able to get a table right away. However, it took the waitress a very long time to take our order. The food was pretty bland - we had the cherry creeker eggs Benedict, the hollandaise had split and tater tots that seemed like the frozen ones you can buy at the supermarket. The pancakes were fine, but the "maple" syrup tasted fake (at a restaurant called Syrup). There was a 2% service charge, FYI. All told, we spent more than $20 per person on tasteless food. read more

Went in to get breakfast the patio was closed due to short staff. Ordered food Togo , they forgot one of the meals I ordered and I ordered a side arugula salad and the salad was not arugula . The price of the place is expensive and they can't even get the Order right . I will never go back. read more
