I'm one of those older guys who always thinks he can do more than he probably should, so I'm constantly pushing myself to the limit. That usually takes a toll, but these guys keep putting me back together and keeping me active. I'm physically stronger and in less pain now than I was 20 years ago, and that's because of this place. The therapists here are extremely knowledgeable and great at finding the root cause of issues instead of just treating symptoms. I'm incredibly thankful they keep me in the gym and on the road, running virtually pain-free. And yes, they now see my entire family, because they're that good. They currently treat my son for a knee issue and are amazing with him, especially since he was nervous to come in because of his autism. My wife goes there for herniated discs, and they've helped her feel stronger and so much better. Even my daughter came in after waking up one morning with severe back pain, they fixed her right up, and she didn't even want to stop coming once she hit 100% (we finally had to tell her she was good!). I went to the clinic, and spoke with the staff. They were very friendly, and showed me around the clinic. They told me about the treatment option, and said the could fit me in right away. I gave them my referral from my Orthopedic doctor, and they scheduled my appointments for the week. The the 1st appointment after waiting about 15 minutes, my therapist said he was just doing an assessment of my range of motion. I only took about 30 minutes. He massaged my shoulder, did some slight movement of my arm, and instructed me to do some rotation and sliding exercises. He put a heating pad on my shoulder, and that was it. The 2nd appointment I had to wait 15 minutes before similar treatment. The 3rd appointment, I had to wait 20 minute before being called to a massage table. My assigned therapist was working on another patient. I was given a table just a few feet away from where he was. I was agreed to a heat pad on my shoulder while I waited for my therapist. I sat with the pad for another 20 minutes. At this point I was annoyed. Why schedule an appointment when you clearly are not available. Another therapist named JC came to my table and took the pad off my shoulder. He tried to change the position of the table, but he did not know how to operate it. He went over to another therapist to ask for assistance. That is when I realized that he was new, and obviously inexperienced! He massaged my shoulder for about 5 minutes. I was visibly in pain, and he was scared to treat me. He said it was unusual for a patient to be in that much pain even though I had surgery less than 3 weeks ago. He told me that I needed to call my doctor. I was shocked and mortified that Align clinic would assign such an experienced therapist who didn't know how to treat me. I waited 40 minutes for about 10 minutes worth of treatment. I called my doctor's office immediately after I left, and was advised not to return to Align clinic. I then called Align clinic, and told them that my doctor and I decided that I was not a good fit for this clinic and I would not be returning. In my opinion this clinic is more like a gym than a therapeutic clinic. The staff is pleasant, and the clinic is clean, however I think the clinic is not organized, as I didn't see anyone writing notes or looking at records of their patients. The clinic was very crowded and it seems the priority is on getting the most business instead of making sure each patient gets the best treatment.

I made an appointment to visit the office and got a free consulatation and exam. I was impressed with the treatment from the physical therapist (PT), Danny. He came across as knowledgeable, friendly, professional , and sincere. The office setting was neat, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Parking was plentiful. So, when I got back spasms from gardening last week, I went to see Danny for help in getting me back to normal so I could be ballroom dancing by the weekend. After several treatments that week including soft tissue massage, dry needling, and gentle stretching exercises, Danny and his PT intern, Kerry, helped me recover and I was back on the dance floor as planned and doing my daily activities. She knew her stuff but when she kept massaging me due to my pain, I kept telling her throughout the session that I am sensitive or please go light on me as we would talk so much; and the more she talked, the more she pressed so hard on me having medical issues that she would say 'sorry' every time then we keep talking and she keeps pressing harder and harder as a disabled military veteran. Her perception of 'light pressure' is different from my perception of 'light pressure' as I talked to Stephanie the next day about it. The next couple of days I was still hurting so I had to go get this pain taken care of. So, I decided to get my refund of $100 as it wasn't worth still hurting, at least partial or half of it, and the bank said I can only do whole refund. So I decided let's do this and then found out from the bank in person following up this issue through my bank that they stated from Advanced Manual Therapy response said I signed papers as to how treatment would go more like they're not responsible should something go wrong. I noticed there is nowhere or protocol policy stating that I didn't sign stating about not getting my refund, but this is what you get when you go to places like this where you get messed over and it went out of my pocket to get painful treatment.

The therapists seemed preoccupied with talking to each other and a few of them appeared to be on their personal cell phone. In the two short visits, the therapists didn't use my name and didn't appear attentive to my exercise. In fact, on for occasions, I had to find a therapist to let them know I had completed an exercise. They charged me $50 per session for stretching exercises i could have found on YouTube.
