Wow... Down from the north, for a tournament. I am already trying to figure how I make it back here. Only issue experienced was it was busy and had to wait a bit to get a table and was somewhat difficult to get a beer while waiting, but just took some asking. Live music was perfect for the place, and they were good. Highly recommend the reverse wings which has me asking why have I never seen them before. Unique and really good. Sausage platter is a good option if you want to try them all, is a lot of food. Other meals at the table was BLT which had a lot of bacon on it, which seems a funny comment from my youngest but it was all gone in the end. And the BBQ bacon ranch chicken sammich was great perfect portion for my growing teenager. Can't wait to come back, might be tomorrow after day two of the tournament. We've been twice. Food was always great. Had the same server both times. He was not so great. Very condescending with me and my husband but very attentive to my 20 something son. Brought my husband the wrong drink on trip number 1 and made him feel as if he had ordered it incorrectly (the others at the table all heard him order it correctly). The 2nd time was just this week. Again, same server. Again, quite attentive to my son and condescending to me (mom). I ordered the Hake sandwich. He corrected my pronunciation and basically laughed at me like I was an uncouth idiot (first time for everything, hon!). As it turned out, my pronunciation was correct and his was way off. I went once and ate inside. It was really busy and loud, but the food was decent. I went again with group of 5, waited for a table inside because it was rainy and cold, but after about 20 minutes, a worker came out and told us it would be another 30 minutes before we could get in. We ended up eating outside instead, which was okay because the rain stopped and the sun came out. Food was good again, but they ran out of fish, (we were all bound to fish for religious reasons) so one of us had to settle on sweet potato fries. read more

My husband and I were passing through town for the night -- we went to try out Swing because the ratings looked pretty good but right away we were disappointed when we stood in line for approximately 5-7 minutes without a greeting or estimated seat time. When we were finally seated we asked our waitress for recommendations on local brews, to which she had no recommendation or knowledge. We decided to try out two of the beers on tap, both of which were too warm and tasted funny. We are pretty convinced there is something wrong with their tap. My husband enjoyed the flatbread, but we were both unimpressed by the Cleveland hot dog, which appeared to be sprinkled with lukewarm Kraft shredded cheese. We tried to order soup but it was no longer available, nor was one additional beer that we attempted to try. The bad beer from the tap was not comped. Overall disappointing. read more

We went in as DORA customers to have the advertised eclipse drinks. The bar tender acted like he was frustrated to serve us as they were busy. He stuck his finger inside of our cups while moving them during making the drinks (some basic sanitation/food safety might be nice). The two drinks were suppose to be the same thing, they neither looked or tasted the same. The drinks were terrible. If you are too busy to serve your DORA customers simply place a notice outside that DORA is not currently available, don't take it out on paying customers. read more

Initially the weekly menu offerings drew me in, but the sides are frozen bar food. Why would you do that with such unique main dishes? Drinks are hit or miss. This is really 4.5 and almost 5. As always Yelp led us to the right place. Great service, menu(very eclectic) mix of apps, sandwiches and meats. Started with the Scott Eggs and was not disappointed. The bourbon mustard is wonderful. Then had a salad and one of the dog selections. I think i had the polish sausage. All so good. Did i mention a great beer, wine and drink list. This is the second time my hubby and I have been to swig. Honestly we originally came to get a scotch egg which we love. We've gotten them both times we've visited and they're an excellent appetizer. You get two pretty large eggs that are enough to share between us. I got the wings last time and the sweet bbq sauce is the best!! My favorite. It's not huge inside but we always find a table and service is pretty decent. I wish there was a sign telling people to seat themselves. Especially when it's busy it'd be nice to know off the bat you don't need to wait to get a seat. Have always had great food when we've been here and definitely will return. read more

Went to lunch with a friend. They were wonderful regarding COVID policies!! Had AMAZING pirogies with a chorizo sauce for our appetizer, I even started eating the sauce with the garnishes after they were all gone (no judgement, absolutely delicious!). Their "Happiness Salad" was just that, PURE HAPPINESS! It was so incredible and huge, that I brought it home for dinner, just as good for a second meal. I usually end up getting the sausage platter, but decided to try the duck Reuben and "melt your face" wings this time. Good stuff. You know when you're getting old if you're having to think twice about drenching the wings into the spiciest sauce they've got, worrying about whether your stomach is going to be messed up.. Having done exactly that during my young age is probably how I got here to begin with.... lol Well anyway, if you just dab the wing in the sauce you can "enjoy" the taste of it. Swig is a solid performer if you happen to find yourself in Perrysburg Ohio. It's located in the little town and has the old local bar feel with a bunch of micro brews. The food we had was good too, although I had the regular 1/2lb BLT but the bacon was perfect and crispy and my friend had the cheesesteak which he said was good too. Their onion rings are really good and appear to be hand breaded and large. I'm in this area maybe once a year but just discovered this place and its open late, but the kitchen closes at 10, its not a chain which is always a plus and was busy at 9:30pm, so you know they must be doing something right. read more

I'm gonna give this 3.5 stars. We went on Friday at 6 p.m. which is their busy time especially during covid-19 and that made for a longer wait. No probs, I understand. Once we were seated the service seemed a little bit slow. Again they were busy. All that said, the meal was just ok. We started with fried cheese curds. They were standard nothing spectacular. For my meal I had the smash burger with onion rings and my girlfriend had the zippy burger with sweet potato tots. Her burger was whagoo, their spelling, with candied jalapeno, peanut butter and spicy bacon. Her burger was good but she didn't care for the tots. My burger was ok, the bun was slightly burnt. They have a descent selection of craft beer. I think it was just an off night and I will give it another go at some point. read more

Stopped here for lunch before heading to Bass Pro Shops. Food was delicious and server was attentive and friendly. While they don't have a kids menu my kids were excited to order off the regular menu and got pierogis and Italian sausage which were both big hits. All their sausages and hot dogs are made in house. Lavash Nashville (spicy chicken sandwich) was delicious along with the butternut squash soup! We sat on the patio which was berry cozy. We're from Michigan and would definitely come here again on our next BPS day trip. read more

Stopped in for carry out. It was cozy, busy and they had live music. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted multiple times. The place has a very neighborhoodly feel. We ordered a smorgasbord of food for four adults. Two sausage platters, chunks, fries and Gouda goodness. I wish I could tell you which sausage I liked the best, but I'm not enough of a sausage expert to know what I was eating. Lots of tasty sauces to try's. Terrible all around. We came from out of town and wanted something local before heading out for a concert. We sat outside as it was a nice sunny day but the smell of trash/vomit mixture was horrendous. We tried the pretzel with beer cheese and it was meh at best. Typical frozen pretzel with no real wow factor on the beer cheese. We opted for a BLT to split with fries (hand cut) which were very soggy. The sandwich was your basic BLT nothing great but we weren't expecting much after the appetizer. The service was less than desirable, we had Madison who obviously dislikes her job and should probably find another one not dealing with customers. I get we all have bad days but suck it up and greet your customers with a friendly attitude and do your job. The current generation just doesn't want to work and it's very evident in cases like this. I'm pretty shocked this place even had a 4 star ranking. I'd actually never even considered giving this spot another shot it really was that bad. Bottom line: Carnivore-friendly. Go for the appetizers and selection of hot dogs and sausages. Recommend starting off with the beer cheese and pretzels. The cheese is mild and more importantly there's a good cheese to pretzel ratio. You know, when you run out of cheese before the pretzels are half eaten? We've all been there. Not a problem at Swig! The Cleveland dog was my favorite, although its tempting to try the Chicago as well (see photo). For a Chicago frequenter such as myself, it's hard to find a good dog around here. Theirs helps take care of my Windy City craving. HIGHLY recommend the duck reuben sammich as well (see photo).
