Had the cheesesteak hoagie. By far the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten in my life. Meat was perfectly tender and stayed juicy and hot until the last bite. Fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. Ketchup is amazing. Has a little kick to it but not too much. I need a bottle to take home. Got tipped off to this place while fishing the maumee river. And let me tell you I might start spending more time here at swigs then at the river fishing. By far the best place to eat in perrysburg/maumee/ Toledo area. Had the hot feta dip and the sausage platter (kielbasa, Italian, brat)... friggin amazing! They make their sausage in-house, so there IS a confirmed "sausagemeister" on staff. The ale mustard is dynamite with their mild kraut. Pierogi side is wonderful!! I'll be back!! read more

Swig is most definitely a fan favorite. I walk down for beers once or twice a week, great food and personable service.

Beers aren't bad, beer cheese dip and pretzels were good. The chili on the hot dogs is obviously from a can. Good service though.

We returned to Swig on the way back from a trip to Florida in January of this year. Service and food were both great! The homemade hot dogs really are very good and such a great draft beer selection as well. read more

Visited Swig this past weekend with my boyfriend and his parents. The food was delicious (hot feta dip! mmm) as well as great beer selection! Only two things were disappointing, the first being the seating situation. Some kind of organization would be nice, as we were not told up front that the seating is a free for all grab. The other being would be a big lack of option for vegetarians. Perhaps have a veg/black bean/ portabella burger or hot dog substitute option? I was the only vegetarian at the table, but the salad/appetizer combo gets old after various restaurant visits and I was really craving a tasty veggie burger that night. I was just surprised by the lack of options for vegetarians given that the beer selection seemed to cater to the younger "beer-snob "crowd i.e. my boyfriend and I. Great beer selection! This is the reason to come here in my opinion. They have lots of craft brews on tap and it bottles, and they rotate everything so there's something new to try every time. The food they have they make well, and it's pretty good. However, they have a very limited selection on the menu. If you don't want some sort of wings/bbq meat sandwich, there's not really anything else you can order. Also, it's pretty crowded all the time, but that can make for a fun party/group atmosphere. read more

ordered an oberon. waitress birngs bud light. we complained, and she came back to say it was indeed oberon. the beer we had wasn't even an ale. we go to swig all of the time because the food is good but the service is truly awful, and the waitstaff is not with it and also incredibly slow. the oberon incident = nail in the coffin. read more

Have been here a few times, always good food and service. Had the sausage platter, when it was brought to me the server said the bratwurst was too small and said a replacement would be coming. I had the sausage platter, the andouille was absolutely explosive in flavor, and the kielbasa and Italian sausage were beautifully spiced. It was served with the most delicious house mustard. I am not an easy customer to please, but tonight I sent my compliments to the chef because it was beautiful. The service could have been a lot better, our waiter had a habit of chatting with the customers, and seemed oblivious to the fact that we were finished fifteen minutes before he checked on us again, and it took him just as log to collect our bill. Over all very good. Until the next early morning, when the food poisoning kicked in. My boyfriend and I spent three days in the bathroom, needless to say, we won't be returning. Swig has a great atmosphere with live music, GREAT food (especially their Chicago style dogs and lets not forget, the FETA DIP. It is a must have if you venture to Swig! The service is friendly and they know their beer selection. The duck reuben was really unique and delicious and the pulled pork sandwich had a nice balance of smoke, sweet, and spice. Some of the sides are not consistent (fries will be soggy or coleslaw will be really bland) and it can be a while before a staff person comes over to greet you/get you seated/tell you there are no seats if it's busy, but overall it's a great place. Just had the grilled cheese and it was pretty good, we have a Max N Melts place and their grilled cheese is terrible. I also had the hot garlic Parmesan wings that were tasty as well I get them extra done, the wings have been better than most wing places around. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Old Perrysburg. Very high end bar food, including a great selection of dogs and brats made fresh on premises. If you like wings, they have chicken chunks that are delicious. read more

However the wait staff and bartender need to be more professional when they make a mistake. Leaving the bar to come Get in a customers face, and arguing with their customers over wrong drinks, then trying to charge for the mistake, is a big no Going back, and not a referral of this business. A small place with average decor that excels at their sausages, sandwiches, and other meat-based items. The grilled pineapple bacon sundae is very good as well. I am not that into beer, so I can't really speak to the bar aspect, but if you are into charcuteries, Swig is an excellent little local choice. whenever we have gone there, the food has been tasty and the service has been good. Visited town on business, went to Swig on the suggestion of the hotel desk clerk. Checked it out online and decided to give it a shot. We had a really great meal. The place was very crowded since it was Friday night, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated...not bad at all. They had $3 draft Bud Light 16 oz, ice cold! I ordered a BBQ bacon ranch chicken sandwich with a side salad with bacon teriyaki dressing. The salad was really good, the dressing was delicious. The chicken sandwich was yummy too. The chicken was tender and loaded with flavor. My husband chose the butter basted burger with chips. He was not disappointed. The burger was cooked perfectly to his liking and he thoroughly enjoyed. We visited this sweet little out of the way place in Perrysburg Ohio. What a find. The atmosphere was modern and a little eclectic. I loved the stainless steel tables, and the homey feel. There was seating on the inside of the restaurant and also on the outside patio. The patio was nicely adorned with round tables and chairs and umbrellas for shade. Our waiters name was Jonathon and he greeted us shortly after sitting down. We told him we had never been there before and he explained some of the menu items, and also that they make all of the sausages and franks from scratch on the premises. My husband wanted a beer and was given a list of 21 beers on tap. There is also a vast array of imported bottled beer. I ordered a fountain rootbeer. I asked to try the coney sauce and was given a sample right away. Reminded me very much of Tony Pacos, but with a bit more bite. I ordered the coney with sauce, onion, mustard and cheese. Sweet potato fries with a dipping sauce that was as unique as it was delicious. My husband got the sausage sampler, with bratwurst, italian sausage and andouille sausage. It's good. The food is great. The wait staff is okay. If you're into beer, it's definitely a place for you. I was super impressed with the food the first time I went.
