The pricing for a local move was based on a hourly basis. The bid ended up being higher than the actual cost. Best movers ever!!!!!! From the time I spoke to the first person on the phone everyone was professional and kind. They checked with me the day before the move to see if I had any last minute requests or adjustments. On moving day they let me know when they were headed my way and were ON TIME!!!! They wrapped all my furniture and moved everything with care as to not damage my belongings or the walls. The guys were super nice and did an amazing and efficient job!! (This is my second review) 2 years after we used them for a move, we used them again. I cannot tell you how much of a positive experience we've had on both occasions! We had 3 guys help us load and unload a completely full truck to/from both 2 story houses. They were careful to not damage anything and placed our boxes in the right room to make unpacking easier. They were very efficient and worked their butts off the entire time until the job was done. Some other companies might slow down to keep the clock running, but not these guys! I was scheduled for a Sunday morning move, an opening came up for Saturday, they let me know and I was able to get everything done a day earlier. Overall I had a great experience. The crew (Ron, Camilo and Mohamed) ensured that I was getting what I wanted, would even ask if there was anything else I needed to let them know and they would make it happen. I was given a personalized quote based on the inventory of our home, so I did not feel over charged and pricing was very reasonable. 100 degree heat, moving from a one story house to a two story is not an easy job. Their estimated time was originally 2 hours and 45 minutes, but they got it done in 2 hours and 15 minutes. They worked very hard. Before the move, Swift Movers did a great job communicating back and forth with me over Yelp, but also through links they sent to finalize our appointment. An excellent experience from the first contact with the office. They were all exceptionally friendly as they accommodated a last minute move across town. They were communicative and answered all of my questions. I received a text notification the day before to confirm, and another in the morning to let me know they were on their way. They all worked so hard and took great care of my belongings. They really deserve 10 stars! Arrived on-time. Thoroughly padded and shrink wrapped everything....not 1 mar, scrape/damage on anything and there was 4 large glass tabled furniture pieces. They even moved some huge trees in heavy pots without any damage! 3 movers were respectful, courteous and timely. They were So efficient that the final bill was $120 below estimate. I had Chris, Robert and Greg and I loved their attitude! very positive amid a difficult (two houses moving to 1 house requiring 3 trips over 10 hours) - and best of all.... no surprises. The I wish I could give 5 stars only due to some heat related damage to an antique table due to plastic wrapping in hot truck. A little more care was needed for this antique. The movers took over 2 hours to move 6 pieces of furniture and a rug up 2 floors in a building with an elevator. Then they broke a leg off of my $5000 restoration hardware couch. They denied breaking the leg and refused to give even $100 to help cover cost of repair. If I could give them worse then one star I would. read more

I had a great time with these guys. They were able to get us in for a 3 bed house move on a very short notice. We opted to go for the more expensive package using 3 guys instead of just 2, but it actually ended up going quite a bit faster so I feel like we saved money in the end. They showed up early, got everything done quick, and even waived a couple charges that they said would be included. I think we ended up right around $400 for a little longer than 4 hours worth of moving. They even offered to move stuff around in the new house and help us set stuff up if we liked. Super nice guys. I saw anther guy who used them had damaged items. We had ZERO damage to any of our stuff and I have actually recommended this company to a few people and they've had good luck with them too. I got quotes from MANY companies in SA before going with swift movers. They had the best price by far. In this case, you get what you pay for. They were quick, I will give them that. Boxes were not stacked right. Many of them were crushed. They decided to put a chair and ottoman on top of our desk and washer and damaged both. We told them exactly how our couch was supposed to go into the truck (standing vertically) and they waited to put it in at the end where the door was up. Instead of realizing the door was blocking it, they just kept pushing it- damaging the corners. They shrink wrap everything. We shrink wrap what we think needs it beforehand and in our experience movers can pack a truck with it like that and with furniture pads. It just seemed like they were wasting time with the shrink wrap. I said they didn't have to shrink wrap a chair, not realizing he had extremely dirty hands, and ended up with a handprint on a white chair. We have moved many times and haven't had any damage until this move. I filled out the survey on my receipt to say that I was dissatisfied with their service but I was not contacted. read more

Swift Movers did an excellent job moving us from San Antonio to Austin. The two men who showed up, Louis and Will, were very friendly and definitely swift. A few times while they were working I heard a loud noise at the truck. When I stuck my head outside to look, I discovered that it was the sound of them sprinting down the ramp to get another load. This was my first time using a mover in my life...and I was a little nervous about my stuff being damaged. But, the 2 guys that came by did a great job securing all the furniture and used saran wrap for the chest and computer table (which had items inside the drawers) They also took great care of the TV (which I was the most nervous about.) All in all, they got everything moved out and moved into my new place (which was on the second floor) in 1 hour 45 minutes. My wife used Home Advisor to find a local mover for her decorating project. The job was to move a large, heavy, antique credenza to our home. She asked for quotes from three top rated companies. "Pete" from Swift Moverz, called and she selected Swift because of the professionalism with which he discussed the move and their services. He also gave a very reasonable price, although she did receive a slightly lower quote from one competitor. Eddie and Mark called ahead of time and arrived at the appointed location in their large, commercially marked truck displaying the Swift Moverz logo. They professionally surveyed the location and item to be moved. Then, carefully wrapped the credenza in moving pads and fully shrink wrapped it to protect it. Using professional moving equipment, they loaded the credenza onto their truck and secured it. Without further directions, they met us at our home and moved the credenza into the house, carefully placing it in the location designated, and removed the wrapping. The credenza arrived in perfect condition. Over the years, we have moved a number of times with job changes and promotions and, although done by top rated moving and storage companies, moving has always been a miserable experience. Admittedly, this was a small move but Swift made it easy and pleasant. We have never encountered a more professional and competent mover. Swift Moverz was pretty terrific. My movers did a really great job. The only problem I have is for how much money I spent, there is no way I should still have to move things and pay someone else to move some things. My move was over $1100 for a 3 bedroom ro move 15 mins away and I moved across country for less than that. How and where to start? My experience was terrible. 2 guys showed up and only one was working and sweating, another one was just hanging around. No tools ( screw drivers and etc.),no straps... nothing. I provided tools, scotch. Took them 5 hours to pack me and after 3 hours I was told that they have another client and have to go with me left half way unpacked. I had 2 guys unloading me in Denver and it took them 3 hours with all the furniture assembled. It was day and night experience. Not a happy customer and wouldn't recommend. read more

After having bad experiences with several moving companies I've hired (4 in the past 5 years), my opinion of moving companies was completely reversed with today's move in a positive way. Greg and Adam were my movers today, and they were absolutely amazing-the best I've ever hired. They had extremely pleasant demeanors, and I admired the way they worked together. I've witnessed many guys arguing & cursing in frustration at each other, but these two communicated well through difficult turns in the house with tricky furniture-always in a respectful manner. Moving is already a stressful experience, so I appreciated their respectful & positive attitudes. They were swift yet careful with the handling of our belongings.
