Great Atmosphere, Beautiful Presentation & Fun Vibes! Sweetwater is definitely one of the new hotspots in Fort Lauderdale! The atmosphere is lively, the service was good, and the food was very good overall. We ordered the steak platter, which was cooked very well and had a great presentation ... definitely something Instagram-worthy! I think it's a dish most people would really enjoy. My girlfriends ordered the sea bass and absolutely loved it, giving it a 10/10! We also tried the tableside Caesar salad, which was prepared right in front of us. While I appreciate the presentation and the experience, I honestly felt we could have just ordered a small Caesar salad and been just as happy. I would have preferred crisp, crunchy romaine rather than baby romaine, along with more Parmesan crisps and croutons for added texture. It was a nice touch, but nothing particularly special and not something I would order again. As for the sides, the corn with bacon was my favorite -- absolutely delicious! The broccolini was good, but nothing particularly special. The cocktails were beautifully presented and are a great choice if you enjoy sweeter drinks. All in all, Sweetwater is a fun addition to the Fort Lauderdale dining scene. Between the lively atmosphere, beautiful presentation, and good food, it's definitely worth experiencing. I would give it a solid 4/5 and would happily return!

Heirloom tomato and burrata salad

Have been waiting for this place to open so was super excited to try it out last night. Unfortunately it was downpouring all night so none of the outdoor seats were available (which there is a ton of). I was worried our reservation would have gotten messed up/pushed back due to them having to squeeze both indoor and outdoor reservations inside, but there was no wait at all and we were sat immediately. They also have an umbrella holder next to the host station where you can leave your umbrella and no one stole it, which was a plus! I loved the ambiance of the place. The decor, seating, music, bar, everything really set the mood. It wasn't too loud that you couldn't hear the other people at your table/server but loud enough to still hear the music well and set the vibes. Our server was Isabella and she was so nice. I will say she seemed a little frazzled at times and failed to check on us often, but I understand it was a busy night as they had just officially opened less than a week ago. We also had some issues with other employees who I believe were food runners. We spilled water on our table accidentally and they didn't have absorbent rags/napkins they just brought the napkins you use for your lap that don't absorb anything. We ordered steak but were not given a steak knife and had to ask for one. Our appetizer plates were not cleared and we had to ask numerous times and numerous different people to clear them all. Stuff like that was a little annoying and should be done without having to ask. Just some things to note that they can work on while they work out the kinks of a grand opening. As for the food and drinks, I thought everything was pretty good, especially for the price points. Cocktails are around $15ish dollars and I had a 10oz steak with fries for $38, which is a steal. They do have pricier menu items, but I love that there's a good mix of higher end and normal priced items, so there's something for everyone's budget. There's also a very large variety of items from chicken, seafood, meat, pasta, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate. They were also out of some ingredient in "the last call" dessert cocktail, which was unfortunate as they couldn't make it and I wasn't made aware until after my friends received their dessert cocktails. My friend did also complain that the tomatoes in the burrata were soggier than she liked, but other than that no complaints. There is also valet parking out front, but not sure the price. There is a men's and women's bathroom in the back. The woman's restroom has 3 stalls and is kept clean and stocked. All in all I had a great experience and would love to come back after they've been open for a little to give them the opportunity to work out the kinks.

Send Flowers and Tiffany cocktails

After months of anticipation, I was lucky enough to get a reservation for Sweetwaters opening night! Everything exceeded my already super high expectations; the ambiance inside and out was beautiful, the food and drinks were incredible, and the service was amazing. We started with the Send Flowers and Tiffany cocktails. The presentation of both was absolutely stunning. They were both really good, but I would say the Send Flowers is better to have with dinner and the the Tiffany is more tangy/desserty, but they were both great. After ordering our food, they brought out complimentary rolls, which were really good as well. It's primarily a seafood restaurant, but they have plenty of other options. For dinner, my husband got the chicken and I got the rigatoni. I feel like the chicken dish at most seafood restaurants is just average and really there to placate non-seafood people, but that wasn't the case here. The chicken was absolutely delicious, tender, and flavorful. The rigatoni definitely had a little kick to it, but nothing crazy and the burrata and vodka sauce fit it perfectly. Our waitress and the hostess were both super nice and genuine, and they lend out purse holders to use while you're eating, which was such a thoughtful touch. We really wanted the chocolate cake for dessert, but we were super full. Guess we'll have to come back for it! Can't wait! Sweetwaters is such a great addition to Huizinga and downtown, and my husband and I are looking forward to many future date nights here!

Four of us walked across the street from the condo for Sweetwaters soft opening. What a transformation from old concrete Huzienga Park and bandshell stage to a stunning restaurant and new green park worthy of being right on Fort Lauderdale's New River waterfront. Umbrella outdoor tables either face the park or the water. Interior tables are set in a high-ceiling dining room with open kitchen. Very contemporary aesthetic, very on-trend concept as expected for Specialty Restaurants Corp, also owner of The Rusty Pelican Miami among others. For a restaurant just opening, they were pumping! Despite a full house, we were led to our table exactly at our 8:30 reservation time. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly, plus the manager stopped by our table to chat. Pacing was excellent. Plus we could not find much fault with any of our dishes. Fried Calamari and Charred Octopus starters were nice, and the Thai Chili Brussels was smashing delicious! We each chose different entrees, and I had a taste of all of them: *Lobster Spaghetti was so unique. I've never seen spaghetti inside a whole Maine lobster, and was very tasty. *Miso-glazed Chilean Sea Bass was flaky, delicious and cooked just right. *Whole Crispy Local Snapper was the one dish I thought was just ok. Too deep fried for me, but the coconut-cilantro rice was good. *Whole Grilled Branzino was my selection. While the skin had a lot of flavors, it was a bit salty for me; however once I scrapped the skin off, the fish was very moist and absolute perfection. For those that have an aversion to seeing a whole fish on their plate, including an open mouth, this might not be the entree to pick. The specialty cocktails list looked so fun and unique, but we already had been drinking earlier. The only mis-step of the night was they were out of our first wine bottle of choice, Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay. The Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Chardonnay was a worthy second choice. They ran out of that too after we had finished our first bottle, so we skipped more wine and saved $60. We hope the sommelier takes note. Sweetwaters is so convenient, we are already making plans to visit again. Incredible Yelp 5-star experience for such a new restaurant! Beautiful restaurant with great service. The staff was pleasant in serving our party of 7 with two little ones. Food was delicious and arrived timely. I had the Rockefeller oysters, wagyu steak frites, and and pear pressure cocktail. I got the wagyu medium and it was tasty. Oysters were great, and it's rare that i I taste a good Rockefeller oyster. The drink was spritzy and good, refreshing. Alison was our server and did a great job with us. Overall I would definitely come back.

They have a great HH running weekdays 4-6:30PM. When we went on 10/9 they allowed people to order off the HH menu at the bar and dining tables. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There is only a bar inside and it fits about 10 people. The staff is super friendly. The HH menu offers drink and food specials. I had the tuna crispy rice and waygu sliders. Both were fresh and tasty.

Sweet Water, a brand-new structure in the beautiful Huzienga Park is about to open and it's FANTASTIC in every way . Entrees and location make this a must . Seafood takes the lead with the most interesting dishes that are scrumptious- branzino , snapper, and lobster spaghetti . There is a cocktail that is a Peña colada with a different name . There is bread with the most delicious butter .Portions were generous . The staff was so thoughtful and warm I this is a winner !

Came in on Friday date night for this very new ,very trendy and very busy place . We had no reservations. Inside the very large door was the hostess stand . They informed us they were not taking any walk-ins at this time . Bar was first come first serve. Hostess said if something came available she would try to hook us up but with no promises. Bar was very packed with every bartender putting in work . Took some time but we were able to order a drink . Busy place that was surprisingly not too loud . They also have outdoor tables but not sure it's the correct South Florida weather to sit outside yet . To our surprise we were able to score a table . After a small hiccup with our seat and broken glass we were greeted by Alison our server . We were also was able to meet a manager and possibly GM . Due to the hiccup they put in a free appetizer for us to enjoy . Drink service was a bit slow due to the amount of people at bar . Completely understandable. Food was cook nice and presentation was well done too . Alison walked us through some of the favorites on the menu . We decided on a dish large enough to share . Portions were good size to share . All the staff we spoke to throughout the evening were all very polite and friendly. Only thing I didn't care for( AS A HUGE DOG LOVER) , is the fact we encountered several people with their dogs inside this extremely busy restaurant. This place was so packed with people it was hard to walk or stand without being in some servers way . The dogs just added another element that should be avoided. All in all a good experience and I hope to come back again . Couple side notes , valet parking is available right out front or street garage parking is within walking distance. Men's bathroom were clean but extremely small. One urinal is not acceptable for a place of this size . Glad to see another good restaurant opening up to add to our rotation. Live laugh and give it time .

I am torn, because one of my visits was excellent, and the next was very subpar. Dined at Sweetwaters last night, table of 7. Our server was very friendly but seemed to be lacking some training. She ripped the cork in half opening our first bottle, which is fine, it happens! But then when she poured the wine, she dripped red wine everywhere - all over the table, down the sides of the glasses, and all over my friend's very nice purse. She poured way too much into the glasses, at least twice as much as a typical glass of wine. She also spilled water all over the table when pouring it. We ordered the tableside Caesar, completely left out the capers and croutons. We ordered the steak progressive, medium rare, and two of the cuts of steak were very overdone, one was fully well done. The manager was on it, had it sent back and brought out a new platter as soon as he could. While we were waiting for the new platter of steak, the server came around and tried to take away our plates and side dishes - I reminded her we were waiting for our entree. All of this to say, when I went to Sweetwaters this past Saturday, table of 5, our server was incredible and did everything perfectly. So there seems to be a consistency issue. The food is delicious, I will be back, but hopefully this review reaches the right people!

Fried Grouper

Delicious dinner with friends at the new spot in town. Steaks, seafood, and plenty of oysters! Great vibe with excellent service. Oysters Rockefeller to start, followed by a delicious whole lobster spaghetti (A+ on presentation). Will be back.

Hey everyone! Does anyone know if Happy Hour at Sweetwaters is strictly for the bar/high-top area, or can you get the specials at standard dining tables too? Thanks!

It's at the bar/high top, the lounge area in the front corner and the outdoor patio. Standard dining tables not included.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

I was surprised to see the restaurant so empty at 6:30. There were four people sitting at the end of the bar and two people at a high-top, so we decided to grab two seats at the bar. The bartender brought us menus and said she'd be right back, but it took a while for her to return. I'm not quite sure where she went, but we ordered two glasses of Pinot Noir, and once again, she disappeared. After waiting a while, we finally placed an order for the meatballs and mussels. Then the food arrived, and with the first bite, I was reminded exactly why we came back--and why we'll continue to come back. The chef here is very special. The meatballs were amazing: two huge meatballs served over ricotta cheese with a delicious sauce. The mussels were very good as well, with just the perfect amount of heat and spice. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so I don't understand why the service wasn't a little more attentive. We decided not to stay for dinner, but that certainly doesn't mean we won't be back. The food is just that good.

The Lobster Bisque wasn't my favorite, as it leaned more toward a tomato-based flavor than I expected, but it did include generous chunks of lobster. This is a happening place on a Saturday afternoon. You actually need to reserve tables even in mid afternoon. But I had an outstanding host who found me a very pleasant table in the dining room. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol beverages but they do have good happy hour prices. All of the staff were extremely pleasant, smiling, and were eager to take my order. For my beverage, I ordered an iced tea, and they brought an assortment of sugar-free as well as sugar to choose from. They may not have many people who order tea or coffee but it would be nice to have Stevia. The tea was very good and I'm from the south where iced tea is the number one drink. My server immediately brought me fresh toasted Italian bread with flavored oil and it was delicious. I ordered three items from the happy hour menu. I ordered the Greek salad, the shrimp cocktail and the clam chowder. I didn't care for the Greek salad since I felt it was had a little bit too much dressing and not enough lettuce but some may care for more crunchy vegetable Greek salad with lots of dressing. The chef did come out and offer a substitute since the item wasn't into my liking and that was extremely nice. I didn't expect it. The clam chowder is unbelievable. It is definitely authentic and absolutely delicious. Also the shrimps are humongous and tasted very freshly cooked. And the cocktail sauce was just right. It wasn't super spicy. Even though the bar area is very lively with lots of sports TVs, the dining area is quiet. This is probably the third time I've been to this restaurant and I'll probably go back again this week because I'm craving the clam chowder. If you haven't tried it then you need to check it out. We recently visited over the weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday, and I just have to say how amazing they did at helping us to celebrate. First we have to give a special shout out to our server Melissa, who just made everything so amazing. She started by bringing us each a glass of champagne to toast. They also placed a table marker that said happy birthday, and Melissa took a photo and printed one for us to keep. I thought this was incredibly nice of them to do and something that I have not experienced at another restaurant. We started by ordering cocktails, I ordered a blueberry lemon drop martini, my sister ordered just a regular lemon drop martini, my mom ordered their salted caramel espresso martini, and my husband ordered a dirty martini with of course blue cheese stuffed olives. My dad just stuck with water but also celebrated with the glass of champagne. They also bring sourdough bread to the table along with two different types of butter. Their first butter is champagne ricotta butter which is amazing and then they always have a seasonal butter, which this time was a pumpkin butter. I was really the only one who enjoyed the pumpkin butter, it had a nice pumpkin flavor as well as a little bit of cinnamon. I am not typically a pumpkin fan however this one was delicious. We also ordered calamari as an appetizer which had a sweet chili sauce. The appetizer was on the smaller side, but it was delicious. My husband and I like to judge a restaurant by their calamari, as we are a huge fans of calamari, and this one held up. It was so good and contained a good mixture of the rings as well as the bodies. For entrees myself and my dad ordered the New York strip, which was crusted with a fantastic seasoning and really just cooked to perfection. This is one of my favorite steaks, I could order this all the time. My mom went with a filet mignon which was also cooked perfectly and very delicious. It did not have the crust like the New York strip but was so tender and just melted in your mouth. My husband went a different route and ordered the pecan crusted pork Shank, which was not his first choice but one that he really decided he wanted to try. He enjoyed and was very happy that he ordered it. I am not a huge pork Shank person myself, but this was absolutely fantastic. It was huge, it had a nice BBQ sauce on it as well as pecans all around. We all agreed this was absolutely delicious. He has actually now tried a steak, a fish, a chicken and a pork dish from Flemings and he has never had a bad meal. He likes to try different things, where I usually go for the steak because they are just that good. My sister decided to order one of their summer items which was a price fix for $49.00. It came with a starter, and she chose the mushroom Brie soup. For the soup, I found it fantastic, I would say though you need to like mushrooms and you need to like truffles. It had a strong flavor of both. She also chose the barbecue salmon as her main entree. This was actually a really good price fix if you didn't want to spend a lot of money here. We also ordered 2 shareable sides for the table and chose the sweet corn brulee as well as the garlic butter mushrooms. I will say that the sweet corn is so good, I think that we could each eat our own. Again, the mushrooms were really good, seasoned with a little garlic, but you would need to be a fan of mushrooms. Since we were celebrating my mom's birthday, we of course had to get dessert and went with the creme brulee. They brought it on a big plate and wrote happy birthday, they also brought her a box of four truffles. The creme brulee is fantastic, probably one of the better ones that we have had. Overall we had a fantastic meal. Is this place expensive, yes. I would say be prepared to spend a good amount of money. However, the service and the food definitely justified the price. They do have some less expensive items and for the first time they had a price fix. This is not a place we go to on a Saturday night, but it has become our favorite place to visit when celebrating a special occasion. I know that they do have Flemings here in Orlando, which my husband and I have not been to. However, this specific location is definitely at the top of our list as one of the best. I would say definitely check it out to help celebrate that special occasion.

This also gave us some time to look over menu as well. When Melissa returned we were ready to go. We decided on starting with some drinks and a few shareable's for the table. My mother in law ordered from the hand crafted cocktail list, she got the Salted Carmel Espresso Martini (Absolut Vanilia, Kahlúa, Baileys Irish Cream, chilled espresso, house-made salted caramel) She absolutely loved it and said this is her absolute favorite espresso martini. My wife also ordered from the hand crafted cocktail list. She got the Blueberry Lemon Drop ( Tito's Handmade vodka, fresh blueberries, lush candied lemon, balanced with fragrant ripe blueberry)She loved this drink a lot. She gave it 2 thumbs up. I ordered a Belvedere Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives. It was absolutely perfect. My sister in law ordered a regular Lemon Drop Martini. She said it was delicious. As far as shareable's for the table we ordered the Sweet Chili Calamari (lightly breaded, tossed with sweet chili sauce) This was delicious for sure. Had a great crunch, calamari was tender and the chili wasn't overpowering at all; The second items we got were two baskets of their sourdough bread which came with champagne and pumpkin butter to dip with. We LOVED the sourdough and our favorite butter was the champagne butter. For entrees we decided to get some shareable sides for the table. We ordered the Sweet Corn Brûlée( sweet corn custard, golden brown sugar crust) this was simply delicious , also ordered the Garlic Butter Mushroom Medley( shiitake, portobello and button mushrooms) again deliciousness. my mother in law order the Filet Mignon at a medium temperature. She said it was perfectly made and well seasoned; my wife and father in law ordered the New York Strip at a medium temperature. Both said the steaks were perfectly made as well. 10 star for my father in law; my sister in law ordered from the Prix Fixe( 2 courses at $49) for the starter she chose the mushroom brie soup. She thought this was one of best mushroom soups she's ever had; for the entree she had the BBQ Salmon Fillet. She thought the salmon was succulent and the bbq glaze had loads of flavor. I ordered the Pecan Crusted Pork Shank( comes with Roasted Red Pepper Polenta and cilantro oil) this was simply amazing. The pork was fall off the bone. Polenta was outstanding. LOVED this dish. For dessert my father in law ordered a crème brûlée. I was utterly way too full but every body loved it for sure. Had that nice crust on top that you want. All in all this was a phenomenal dinner. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Special thanks to Melissa for making this a memorable occasion. She was knowledgeable about the menu and took her time. Aces!
