Their opening tagline boasts the presence of Joe Stone Crab's head chef, who served there for 30 years. The ambiance is upscale, typical of a fancy restaurant with high prices and small portions. We began with the trio dip, which was decent, but the crab dip was disappointing. It was mostly tomatoes, and the chips were insufficient for the amount of dip. Next, I ordered the Las Olas roll but was unknowingly served the lobster roll, priced at $34. It was unremarkable and disappointing. I also tried one of their signature cocktails, which was quite enjoyable considering its $20 price tag.

We were very impressed with Catch & Cut. The atmosphere was clean, fresh and put out a good vibe. The service was excellent. Our waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu and very enthusiastic about sharing all of the menu options. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. It left me wanting to return and try other menu options. Although there are many places to dine in Los Olas, I'd suggest Catch & Cut to be on the short list.

What a fantastic new brunch experience at Catch & Cut. From the moment we sat down on their beautiful rooftop overlooking Las Olas Blvd, it felt like one of those brunches that turns into an event rather than just a meal. Our server Jean--who previously worked at Joe's Stone Crab--was an absolute standout. His wit, personality, and attentive service really elevated the entire experience. It's rare to find service that's both professional and genuinely fun. The unlimited NV Perrier was easily my favorite part and absolutely worth every dollar. They also passed around appetizers throughout brunch, which kept things exciting and made the whole experience feel a little more special than your typical brunch setup. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Between the food, the service, and the rooftop views, this is definitely a brunch experience worth trying.

Lobster Uncrustable, really good!

My wife and I came around brunch time and heard Great things about this place from a friend. I will said it met the expectations and exceeded it. Our serve was Russ, very nice and well versed on the menu. The signatures cocktails were fantastic. The appetizers and main entrees were great! This place has a nice vibe, you can dress it up or dress down (not too casual though) Highly recommend the tuna crispy rice as an app and the lobster and crab Benedict.

Phenomenal place. I had dinner here with friends, and the experience was excellent. It's an upscale spot with a lovely ambience. Our server--Haitian, I believe his name was Jean--was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and delivered fantastic service. The house Old Fashioned was splendid. The sea bass was fresh and melted at the touch, and both the calamari and mushroom appetizers were great as well. This is the perfect place for a special occasion dinner or even a nice midday lunch. Highly recommend.

Catch & Cut is in my neighborhood so it's often our "go to" spot when we are in a quandary about where to eat. My preferred place to sit is upstairs and outside on the front balcony area as there is always a nice breeze and I like to see what is going on on Las Olas. While I have eaten in the main dining room several times, the tiled ceiling creates a high volume of noise so it's sometimes hard to have a conversation without yelling. They definitely pour a good drink here and the bartenders, no matter where you sit, are engaging and helpful. Know that the same menu is now served both upstairs and down so if you want a burger and don't see it on the menu, they usually will make it for you. Their steaks are always well prepared but I was surprised to see no "surf and turf" option on the menu. When my friend asked about it- he was told he could order a lobster to go with his steak so he did, but that was a full menu price so like adding another entree. They were also lightly deep fried lobster done popcorn style but you can also get it grilled. Additionally on the night I was there, the king crab market price was $179 so you should always ask. They also came grilled which was detracted from the fresh taste of the crab so the next time I will ask if they can steam them for me. All the sides are good and sometimes, we just order drinks and one of their seafood towers which fits the bill. There are a lot of steak houses in the area so I work Catch & Cut into the rotation for steak less than I just use it as a great place to meet up with friends for drinks and a light bite.

Happy hour with my fellow Yelpie Meri. Woot woot!

Catch & Cut has been on my list for some time now. Found a perfect excuse to check it out when I met up with my fellow Yelp Elite friend Meri S. We caught their happy hour on a Friday afternoon. Happy Hour is at the bar only Monday-Friday @ 4-6pm. Discounted prices for appetizers & wine. 25% off signature cocktails. Catch & Cut is located in the heart of Downtown Las Olas. Meri was waiting at the bar downstairs when I arrived. The downstairs dining room felt so formal, almost stuffy. We opted to head upstairs where it was more of a lounge and chill vibe. We sat at the Balcony Bar with an amazing view of Downtown Las Olas. Ana was our bartender at the Balcony Bar and she was just the CUTEST!!! She had the BEST personality. So much personality. Very bright and bubbly. Let me just tell you, she can sell you the whole menu and you probably wouldn't decline. Lol. This girl needs to be in SALES!!! This is everything we ordered: * Honeydew IT $12.75 * Promising Paradise $12.75 * Mini Tuna Tacos $15.00 * Grouper Ceviche $12.00 * Dip Trio $20.00 Everything was fabulous! Cocktails were on point. Appetizers were super fresh and tasty. Ambiance was so nice upstairs at the Balcony Bar. Service was stellar. Promising Paradise cocktail was what I ordered. Absolut Vodka shaken with house made lychee lemongrass cordial, Pierre Ferrand yuzu liquor & fresh lemon juice. So refreshing! Meri and I shared the appetizers and everything was really good. My favorite was the Mini Tuna Tacos, the cilantro aioli and mango salsa was so yummy! Happy hour prices are fair. Food & drink quality was there. You cannot beat the view upstairs at the Balcony Bar. Go see Ana and tell her how much we hyped her up! Good times. Would definitely come back!

Was really underwhelmed by this restaurant. Went for a birthday celebration. The place is beautiful and service was good, but the food really did not live up to expectations. For appetizers, we shared fried chicken, which was good. The tuna with crispy rice was served cold. We mention this to our server, but they did not bring a replacement. I ordered lobster which was tasteless. This order was replaced. Husband enjoyed his crab. With so many fine dining options in South Florida, not sure how soon I would give Catch and Cut another chance.

Sherwin was awesome. Lobster escargot was amazing.

The night was blurry thanks to my love of whiskey but I remember I loved the lobster escargot and thats pretty much all I remember but my sister says I had fun and thats all that matters.

Went to Catch & Cut on a Tuesday night to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 4 with reservations at 6:30pm. Upon arrival we were greeted and promptly seated. Service, food and ambiance were all good. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything was from the service to the food. The staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The snow crab escargot was my favorite. We also had the land and sea roll as a starter, that was just ok. For my entree I had the sea bass which was good. For the sides we had the lobster Mac and truffle fries. I do wish the portion sizes for the sides were bigger. To drink I tried the margarita cocktail wish I really enjoyed. Overall good experience.

Top notch service and attention to detail. From the table settings and placement, to music and aesthetics, it is done completely and correctly. Our food was prepared to our exact direction and the plating was inviting to the eye. The ribeye, with a blue cheese topping, was well worth the visit. Expert service from the bar and an awesome line-up of top shelf distillations. The upper deck is a beautiful site and pulls you into the Las Olas life. If you are will to pay top end prices for over the top service and selection, stop in and give this establishment a try...you'll appreciate it!

This was our first time at Catch & Cut and we chose it for date night--great decision. We sat outside on the upstairs terrace, which was a beautiful setting. There was live music in the main living room that really set the tone and made it feel like the perfect happy hour and dinner spot. Overall, the space delivers on an elevated steakhouse vibe. We started with the Stone Crab Escargot, which our waiter said many guests refer to as "crack"--and I completely agree. It was absolutely addictive. We also ordered the Land & Sea roll, which was fresh, flavorful, and a great starter. For entrées, I had the ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly temperature-wise and very enjoyable. I personally would've loved just a bit more seasoning or flavor, but it was still well-prepared and high quality. My husband ordered the lamb chops and let me just say--get the lamb chops. They were outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. For sides, we shared the Brussels sprouts, which were phenomenal and more than enough for two people. We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese--delicious, but note that it's a true single serving. If you're thinking of sharing, you may want to order one per person. Service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and overall it made for a great dining experience. We'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others.

Dip Trio (Crab Pico, Lobster Hummus, Onion Dip & Chips)

Catch and Cut is one of several new restaurants that recently opened on Las Olas. I went on a Friday for happy hour and expected it to be a bit busier, but the whole blvd was kinda slow, probably because of the weather. I got a glass of wine at the downstairs bar while I waited for my friend to arrive. The downstairs is more upscale with white tablecloths and all. When my friend arrived we headed upstairs and had our pick of two bars. We went with the one overlooking Las Olas, and the vibe upstairs was much better IMO. Shoutout to our bartender Ana, who totally made the night. She had such a fiery personality, kept things fun and gave us great recs. We split a few apps from the happy hour menu (ceviche, tuna tacos, and the dip trio) and they were all really fresh and delish. We also tried a couple of their cocktails, and my favorite was the Promising Paradise, think lychee martini, but better. I didn't even look at the dinner menu this time, but I'll definitely be back soon to try it out!

I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

What an unforgettable evening from beginning to end! Every year for my birthday, I always ask my husband to take me to an elegant, upscale steakhouse, and this year his brother highly recommended Eddie V's. Let me just say... this restaurant exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment we arrived, the experience immediately felt luxurious and welcoming. They offered valet parking, which made arriving smooth and convenient, especially for a special night out. As soon as we entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the beautiful ambiance and classy atmosphere. The lobby entrance was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for taking memorable birthday photos. The hostess was incredibly warm, friendly, and professional. She even took several birthday pictures for my husband and me while we waited to be seated, which I truly appreciated because it made the evening feel even more personal and special. When we arrived at our table, I was honestly touched by the thoughtful birthday details Eddie V's prepared for me. The table was beautifully decorated with birthday confetti/sprinkles along with a personalized birthday card waiting for me at my seat. That level of attention to detail made me feel celebrated and valued as a guest. Our waiter, Fernando, was beyond AMAZING and absolutely deserves recognition for delivering true 5-star service. From the moment he introduced himself and wished me a Happy Birthday, his energy, professionalism, and attentiveness were exceptional. He explained the menu perfectly and made wonderful recommendations throughout the evening. I told Fernando I came ready for an incredible steak dinner, and he recommended the 10 oz Filet Mignon. Let me tell you... it was cooked to perfection -- tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! I paired it with the lobster mashed potatoes and the crab fried rice and OMG... every single bite was phenomenal. For our appetizer, we ordered the tuna tartare, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing white sangria while my husband had a Floridian beer, and both complemented the meal perfectly. The area where we were seated felt intimate, romantic, elegant, and perfect for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere throughout the restaurant was upscale without feeling overwhelming, creating the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. Dessert was the perfect ending to an already amazing evening -- warm banana bread served with ice cream, and it was absolutely heavenly! Then Eddie V surprised me with a little celebratory champagne bubbly, which was such a classy and thoughtful touch that truly completed the birthday experience. What impressed me most about Fernando was how attentive he remained throughout the entire dinner. He made sure our food arrived hot, checked on us often without being intrusive, and followed through on every little detail before we even had to ask. Service like that is rare these days, and he truly made our evening unforgettable. The food, service, ambiance, and overall experience were all top-tier. For the quality of food and level of service received, the pricing for two people was very reasonable for such an upscale dining experience. Thank you Eddie V's Prime Seafood and especially Fernando for making my 58th Birthday celebration feel so elegant, special, and memorable. This was truly a 5-STAR experience from beginning to end, and my husband and I will definitely be returning again soon! -- Maria E.

Now on to the food -- the ribeye steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, and one portion of each was more than enough for two people, with plenty left to take home for another dinner. The same goes for the steak depending on your appetite -- it was a very generous portion, and we happily brought some home as well. I had the Eddie cocktail, which was delicious, although the large ice ball took up most of the glass. We finished the meal with the Bananas Foster dessert, which was completely devoured. We shared it, and once again, it was more than enough for two. It did take a while for my car to arrive from valet, but I didn't want to pay the additional $40 to keep it parked in front. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with music that nicely complements the dining experience. Reservations are definitely necessary, and I would suggest requesting a table in the dining room away from the kitchen to avoid the constant parade of dishes passing by. All in all, it was a delightful dining experience. We are repeat customers and have never been disappointed.
