The Experience Our server, Logan, was exceptional. His recommendations were spot-on, and his attention to detail made us feel truly taken care of throughout the night. It is rare to find service that is this professional yet genuinely warm. The Food Everything we tasted was outstanding, cementing its place as one of the best steakhouses in Miami. We started with the sourdough bread and the tuna tartare which had a perfect spicy touch that woke up the palate. For the main event, the Tomahawk 23oz (perfect for a couple) was a revelation. It was cooked to perfection incredibly juicy with a smoky, slightly crispy exterior. The combination of the volcano salt and their signature tomato sauce on the side elevated the flavor to another level. The sides did not disappoint, either: Lobster Mac and Cheese: Hands down the best I've ever had. Baked Potato: Soft, cheesy, and the ultimate comfort food. I can't argue about their food. I had their filet mignon done rare, Pittsburgh style, and it turned out to be totally delicious. It was one of the best I've ever had, with a perfect Pittsburgh char. The beef was from the DemKota supplier, which I had never heard of. But, a quick Google let me know it is one of the most exclusive and best of meat suppliers. Not many restaurants openly let you know where or from whom they purchase their meats. That is probably for good reasons as you may find out you are eating the same quality of meat from the same supplier to Pubiix, or worse. What I didn't like about Daniel's is that they don't respect reservations. We had reservations but got that old "why don't you have a seat at the bar" routine. So we sat, sat and sat at the bar for so long we finally gave up and ordered our meals at the bar. Also, the noise level. I was downright excruciating. We couldn't even have a conversation. The restaurant was getting busy, we got sat at a really nice table in the middle of the restaurant with a nice view of the open kitchen and the restaurant in its entirety. The valet and staff were super friendly and welcoming. The experience was superb from start to finish. We cleaned our plates-- literally ate everything off the plates. The only thing we didn't eat was the endive garnish and the steak sauce. Food: ** Chicken and caviar - Thank you for accommodating the request (it was not on the menu) - simply outstanding. ** Truffle cacio e pepe- perfectly cooked, just delicious. ** FL NY strip - Wowzers, the crust, rub, and temp was spot on, beautifully cooked. ** Creamed spinach- so good I can't get over it. I'm normally not a fan of creamed spinach, but this was a legit perfect POT OF GOLD. ** Twice-baked potato - had a beautiful crusty potato like a muffin top on the outside and creamy inside. ** Key lime lemon tart - amazing, perfect ratio of graham cracker(lots of it) and filling. Over the last 20 years I have been regularly underwhelmed by the food scene in Fort Lauderdale. I have found most restaurants here to be sub par at best. Frequently I found myself having to travel to Miami or Palm Beach for what I would consider a decent meal. Understandably when I heard about this new hottest restaurant I was skeptical. However I was completely blown away. Easily, the best meal I have ever had in Fort Lauderdale. I would even go as far as to say it would be in my top 10, possibly even top 5. It's like the sweetest, richest creamed corn you will ever eat. Dessert was an excellent key lime pie. The staff recognized Husband's birthday with a card. I came with my husband to celebrate his birthday and he was welcomed with a birthday card-- a detail I've never seen before at any other restaurant! We tried the wagyu meatball, the wagyu and pearls and the crab cake (made from really blue crab) from the appetizers and they were all mouth watering but the favorite was the wagyu and pearls tartare which included caviar. First and foremost the service was exceptional. Skylar and Doug were wonderful. From the minute we were seated we felt welcomed and taken care (think pretty much everyone wished us a happy new year). The food was delicious, there wasn't anything we ordered we couldn't state that to. We started with the bread service and the the blue crab cake which was divine, I preferred it with not utilizing all the lemon curd (I think that's what it was) but the person I was with loved the strong lemon taste. I will note the person I was with hates crab and immediately forgot what she was eating on the first bite. We both ordered steaks, I got the filet minon wagyu flight which was so simple but delicious. Every piece melted in your mouth my party ordered the truffle butter which was delicious but I chose not to use it because the steak was so good on its own. We did get a side of the crimini mushrooms which were plentiful and taste so good. To end the night we got the red velvet cake which was decadent but not overly sweet. Every detail they seemed to take into consideration including the steak knives (the blade had swirls on them, but it wasn't what you would see from Damascus). Went to Daniel's Steakhouse on a recent Sunday night. Now you all know what a good steak tastes like so I won't a lot of time on that. And the sides were also delicious. But there were 2 things worth noting. First, I ordered their signature martini, the Daniel's martini ($21).You can get it with vodka or gin but the interesting thing is it comes "deconstructed" so you assemble it yourself. I was asked how dirty I wanted it and I said "fairly dirty" and got two tiny vials of olive juice. The woman next to me said "slightly" and only got one. But there was definitely plenty of vodka as you can see in my pic! Also worth noting are the Bao buns appetizer ($24)These pastrami filled, onion and thousand island dressing topped, puffy bundles of deliciousness were amazing! I'd go there just for these. They need them on their D's sports bar menu! Our steaks were perfectly cooked, we had the NY strip ($95 each) which is my fav steak and they came out exactly how we wanted them. We shared the corn pudding (delicious) and the twice baked potato offering. And since it was my birthday we ordered the chocolate cake ($28). They also brought out a comped dessert which I wish they had told us about before we ordered the 2nd dessert as we really didn't need 2! But hey- it's my birthday! The ambiance is nice but very tight- you will be right on top of the people next to you. And if there was one thing that needs changing, it's the entranceway. They moved the hostess stand out of the doorway where it used to be when this was Canyon and positioned it to the side of the bar. There is no room to stand and people were bumping into each other. They need to re think this. We had a lovely dinner for six at Daniel's in Fort Lauderdale. The location of the restaurant is easy to access and they have valet behind the building which is very convenient. The restaurant is open concept with the kitchen being open to the restaurant. The restaurant was completely sold out and I highly recommend reservations. I saw a few people trying to get tables without reservations and most ended up eating at the bar or leaving. Due to the restaurant being so full the only complaint I really have is that it was very loud in there. I do not know how they would correct that, but there were times where I couldn't hear the people at my table speaking. Once our dinner time was progressing and the restaurant thinned out just a little bit, the noise level made a significant improvement. The food is absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and the time from ordering food to receiving it was impressive considering how full the restaurant was. One of my guests ordered the Australian Wagyu New York strip, and said it was the best steak he had ever had. Another guest ordered the wagyu delmonico ribeye and loved it. I do not eat red meat and there were plenty of options for me as well. I had the red snapper which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered sides to share for the table which included lobster mac & cheese, twice baked potato and mushrooms. For dessert, we had a build your own sundae and the key lime pie. A minor side note regarding the sundae the brownie pieces were fresh baked and absolutely delicious. One more item I have to shout out is their bread. It's part of their appetizer options and I highly recommend giving it a try. They make a butter for the bread that is something I've never had before. It has a touch of salt, a touch of citrus. The bread was delicious, I could've done without the citrus-infused butter but the bread itself was so fluffy. The Wagyu and pearls was absolutely scrumptious, I could've had 50 of them. I struggled with leaving just 4 stars. I've wanted to go to Daniel's since it opened, more so after its second location took off in Coral Gables. The buzz and the accolades made this a must-go destination, even as the busy Federal Highway traffic blares past. Service was great. The ambiance was nice but not particularly cozy. Food and drink are a premium compared to competitors like Ruth's Chris, Jay's, Prime 112, Ocean Prime, or Capital Grille. Honestly Daniel's food was not any better, and it had less atmosphere. If I did not have such high expectations, this might have been a five star experience. It was simply another one of many. To be sure, my filet mignon was delicious ($78), but not enough in my opinion to warrant its price. That was among the least expensive options. My bearnaise sauce ($8) was atypical, and not in a good way. Rosemary fries ($12) were rather forgettable. My companion had an appetizer, wagyu tartare with caviar ($28), as an entree. It was very good but quite small. Dinner for two was $300 all in, which included one entree, one appetizer, two drinks, and a dessert. A second entree or more drinks would have pushed it to $400. Mandatory valet adds $10. Overall, I found Daniel's to be overpriced within its market niche. Everything was very good, but not great. I wanted to love it, but I only liked it. For a premium price, it lacked any wow factor. Good as it is, I will likely choose another option then next time I want a high end steak dinner. read more

First time at Daniel's for all of us! We've been wanting to try it but overlooked it bc of all the new steakhouses in FTL! We went for NYE and while I know we didn't make the last reservation (there were other times available), unfortunately we were seated at what looked like the very last table in the corner, of a separate room off the main dining area, and while I do recognize "someone" has to get the last table, for the $225/pp I would recommend asking to be seated in the "main" dining room. Every NYE pic looks like we are in a conference room sitting by the exit door and sandwiched near what looked like a storage closet :( . When "our" back room stated clearing out, we asked if others were arriving and they said yes, but no one came, and when we got up to toast at midnight the main dining room had mostly cleared out. It would've been nice to at least enjoy our dessert in the main room or near the bar where it seemed more lively. The service was excellent tho and it turned into a big joke that we were "in the corner". I had a good time but they ran out of the crabcakes which was a main attraction on the prix fixe menu. The ambiance of this place is very chic and the servers were very attentive and doting. My friend and I went for Miami Spice brunch and enjoyed everything we ate. We got the Wagyu empanadas and kale salad for apps and both were delicious! I came to restaurant on a Saturday night, around 10pm after seeing it online the previous week. Since I was alone I opted to sit at the bar. I asked if they made caipirinha's, Rodney was my incredible bar tender. He mentioned he didn't think they had the Cacacha rum for it but would double check. When he came back he advised in fact they did not have the Brazilian rum. I opted for a strawberry margarita as a replacement and it was very good. I ordered the 8oz filet with the double baked potato with no sour cream, I was advised that the sour cream was already mixed in. So I opted for just the steak, Rodney suggested the mashed potatoes and said it was really good. His description of it convinced me so I opted to have it without the truffle. The food came out roughly 15-20 min later. The manager I assume (dressed in a suit) stopped by and asked how everything was. Now to the moment of truth, the steak was really good. It had a nice char (super important to me), nicely seasoned. I was very happy. The mashed potato was also very good. Honestly it was enough for 2-3 people, and believe me I can eat a lot of food. A second guy in a suit stopped be and asked me how the steak was (maybe the owner, I'm guessing at this point since he was at the bar most of the time). The food, atmosphere, music, Rodney with his great service were all top tier. Be aware that if you have a hat on you maybe be asked to remove it, no issue there as it is indoors. And valet parking is $10. Mashed potato's with no truffle is $16, filet is $74, and the margarita was $16. Rodney left before I was finished but let me know they his colleague would be taking care of me (they were great too). He suggested I come during the week and that they had a very great happy hour. I think I'll do it. A young lady (red hair and glasses I think), I think she was a server came up to me and said she loved how I "was living my best life", I assume since I was at the bar enjoying a great steak at the bar alone. We started with the Florida seafood chowder, which was flavorful. I like the sweet lobster and shrimp bits that balance the tomato soup base flavors. My favorite appetizer was the wagyu and pearls. It's caviar with wagyu tartare. Need i say more? The savory flavor of the caviar pairs well with the Wagyu. We ordered a Florida grass fed steak and one steak was enough for the both of us. They slice the steak in pieces for you as well. It's good to pair with different sides. We tried the creamed spinach and crimini mushrooms. The service was attentive and as expected from a fancy steakhouse. One thing that detracted from the experience was our server's constant encouragement to order more drinks. The real standout was dessert: the key lime pie is a must-try. The balance of passion fruit puree and meringue made it just right--not too sweet, not too tart, and a perfect finish to the meal. My wife and I split the short ribs -- insanely tender -- with the twice-baked potatoes, creamed corn pudding, and mac & cheese. Every bite was top-tier. The service? Flawless. The atmosphere? We were excited to try a new restaurant in Fort Lauderdale - Daniel's. We enjoyed the food and the premise - a focus on sourcing ingredients from local providers (and mostly Floridian sources) The steak and crab cake were our stand out favorites. However, the menu included many interesting sounding dishes that I would like to try during later visits. The service was very professional yet friendly and engaging. read more

Everything was excellent. The restaurant temp is chilly, but they offer warm shawls to the ladies. Food was excellent. Service was on point. I wouldn't order the bread or desserts again. Would definitely return. read more

Great restaurant for traditional steakhouse vibes. Our waitress was very friendly and charming and helped us order. Some notable things were that they made a great off the menu Paper Plane drink, and the bao buns and the banana bread were stand outs. I was happy to see that some butcher cuts of steak made the menu which I don't see often. read more
