Over the last 20 years I have been regularly underwhelmed by the food scene in Fort Lauderdale. I have found most restaurants here to be sub par at best. Frequently I found myself having to travel to Miami or Palm Beach for what I would consider a decent meal. Understandably when I heard about this new hottest restaurant I was skeptical. However I was completely blown away. Easily, the best meal I have ever had in Fort Lauderdale. I would even go as far as to say it would be in my top 10, possibly even top 5. A list which includes many of the famous steakhouses from LA to Las Vegas to NYC, Daniel's leaves nothing to be desired.

5+ stars!!! 1st class dining in every aspect. Service is top notch. A whole team will serve your table. From the captain to servers and bussers, everyone is respectful, helpful, and polite. The food was delicious. We started with steak tartar and crab cake. The crab cake was all crab and the accompanying sauces (including a Meyer lemon sauce) made it different than the many crab cakes I have had in Maryland. We shared a porterhouse, which was plenty for two with enough to take home. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We ordered the corn pudding which was decadent. It's like the sweetest, richest creamed corn you will ever eat. Dessert was an excellent key lime pie. The staff recognized Husband's birthday with a card. Two managers stopped by at different times to check in. Tables are close and the place is noisy, so not the place for a quiet date. Overall, Daniel's is a well oiled machine that provides fine dining that until now, I had yet to see in Broward county. Yes, it's pricey, but great for a special occasion.

This place is beyond amazing! The quality of the food is top notch, definitely worth every penny! I came with my husband to celebrate his birthday and he was welcomed with a birthday card-- a detail I've never seen before at any other restaurant! We tried the wagyu meatball, the wagyu and pearls and the crab cake (made from really blue crab) from the appetizers and they were all mouth watering but the favorite was the wagyu and pearls tartare which included caviar. From the entrees we ordered the FLORIDA ARROWHEAD DELMONICO 140Z (melts in your mouth, so delicious!) and Wagyu DENVER STEAK 80z --so good! The double baked potato is like nothing I have ever had, so delicious and so different-- no words to describe it. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion!!!

I've eaten at the newest location in miami and figured it was time to try the OG. What can I say it surpassed the miami location in every aspect except the vibe !!! Our service was exceptional, from the sommelier to the bus staff and of course our waiter. We shared all of the appetizers and side along with the special steak of the day a 45oz tomahawk !! If you're looking for a good steakhouse in miami or Fort Lauderdale, although a bit pricey you definitely get your moneys worth !!

The place was packed! Service was amazing and the Passion Star cocktail was SO GOOD! I wasn't able to include the Caesar Salad in the picture but the dressing was 10/10. Overall great experience aside from the Truffle Cacio e Pepe pasta which I would suggest skipping as it was very dry and didn't have much flavor. Aside from that everything was delicious and I highly recommend getting the Crab Cake...wow!

We had a great steak dinner here with family. The service was top notch. Drinks at the bar, while waiting for our table were just what we needed. Everyone loved their meal. Definitely going back. Be aware it's valet parking only.

A Michelin rated restaurant that deserves a star!! Parking: this venue is in a quasi residential area so there is really only valet parking available. Valet folks were nice and it was not too pricey! Drinks: LARGE selection of wines and spirits...from the very affordable to very expensive!! We some of their specialty cocktails! Food: I generally don't love Michelin restaurants but this one was really amazing. Great portion sizes and delicious flavor! We had the grilled branzino, brisket bao buns, lamb chops, twice baked potato, broccolini and Mac and Cheese! Check out the pics! Everything was great!! Service: very good. Coincidentally, we were served by a guy named Daniel! Atmosphere/vibe: it is not a large venue so it feels very intimate. It was packed. The bar is pressed right up against where you meet the hostess so that is a little awkward. Age group: all ages but no very young kids Bathroom: pretty basic for such a nice establishment Return:yes!

Came here for a birthday and had probably the best meal i've had this year! Everything from the service to the decorations were great. I highly recommend the bao puns as an appetizer. At the time they had a flight of three steaks as a special that I had and it was incredible!!! Their pasta is also amazing! I honestly can't say a single bad thing about this place. If you're considering going do it!

The food was good! We really enjoyed the bread service, Rockefeller oysters & cream spinach. Drinks were also great. The steak was a bit tough, but we were warned because it's grass-fed, which we appreciated. The meal was yummy but not mind-blowing. Overall, it was a good meal, but definitely on the pricier end. The service was great, and the staff was very attentive throughout the night. The restaurant itself is beautiful and intimate, which we really enjoyed for our anniversary dinner.

First and foremost the service was exceptional. Skylar and Doug were wonderful. From the minute we were seated we felt welcomed and taken care (think pretty much everyone wished us a happy new year). The food was delicious, there wasn't anything we ordered we couldn't state that to. We started with the bread service and the the blue crab cake which was divine, I preferred it with not utilizing all the lemon curd (I think that's what it was) but the person I was with loved the strong lemon taste. I will note the person I was with hates crab and immediately forgot what she was eating on the first bite. We both ordered steaks, I got the filet minon wagyu flight which was so simple but delicious. Every piece melted in your mouth my party ordered the truffle butter which was delicious but I chose not to use it because the steak was so good on its own. We did get a side of the crimini mushrooms which were plentiful and taste so good. To end the night we got the red velvet cake which was decadent but not overly sweet. Every detail they seemed to take into consideration including the steak knives (the blade had swirls on them, but it wasn't what you would see from Damascus). This place is expensive but for a great night out or a celebration this is a great spot. I will be happy to come again for no reason at all.

Caesar was unreal, super flavorful and has a lot of basil, which was delicious. Wedge salad, incredible. Crab cake was great as well, not the best I've ever had but really good! The sourdough bread with the ricotta honey was sooooo yummy and flavorful. I got the Branzino and it was honestly the best branzino I have had, it melted in my mouth and was sooooo fresh and flavorful. SOO GOOD. My family got steaks and they said they were incredible. Corn pudding was absolutely amazing, vodka sauce pasta was soooo good, twice baked potato was amazing, needed a little salt. We got the skillet cookie and banana bread for dessert, I wasn't obsessed with either of them, but they were good. Service was great, espresso martini was great

What an experience!!! Wow this place is incredible. 10/10. Every single thing we ordered was 10/10. Our server was also incredible. This restaurant is absolutely worth the hype and very well ran. I felt so happy to have such a seamless and delicious dinner! Nice upscale vibe that's not too full of itself. The literal only complaint would be the forced valet 10 feet from door. A little ridiculous. Walter was an outstanding server, we loved him. Perfect service. Very warm and helpful. Recommend corn pudding, twice baked potatoes, filet and the KEY LIME PIE!!!!

Ask the Community - Daniel's, A Florida Steakhouse

Looks like they offer dining room seating and something called federal highway seating. What's the difference and any suggestions?

There is a seating area at the front of the building adjacent to Federal Highway, its slightly more segregated from the seating area in the restaurant, I like it when we have a group of six, maybe 8 people. No real "view" unless maybe you like… Read more

Like "let's take pictures before we eat because this patio belongs in a lifestyle magazine" gorgeous. Las Olas energy at its finest. The outdoor seating is fantastic, the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy, and honestly, the food was outstanding. Which is why this hurts. We came for Mother's Day brunch and intentionally avoided rushing over for happy hour pricing because we wanted a relaxed meal. Adult decision. Responsible. Mature. Mistake number one apparently. Started with the charred corn and avocado dip and I need whoever created that dish to be recognized with some sort of civic award. Ridiculously good. One of those appetizers where you immediately start calculating whether licking the bowl in public is socially acceptable. Then came the steak and eggs discussion. My wife and I were both looking at the steak and eggs listed on the menu for $26.75. Our waiter explained that the standard steak was only four ounces and casually suggested upgrading to a six ounce or eight ounce cut instead. Now listen carefully because this is where the plot twists into a financial thriller. At no point during this conversation was pricing for the upgrade mentioned. And shame on me for not asking. That part is absolutely on me. But the suggestion was delivered with the same casual energy as "would you like fries with that?" So I upgraded to the eight ounce. My wife went with the six ounce. She also had a margarita she loved. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed and, as it turns out, accidentally entering a luxury cattle futures market. Then the handheld payment machine arrived. $175. I stared at that screen like it had just informed me my mortgage was due immediately. Turns out those extra six ounces of sirloin between the two plates carried an upcharge that could finance a small fishing boat. Roughly ten dollars an ounce for the upgrade. Somewhere, a Wagyu cow laughed at me from a distance. And look, before anybody jumps in, yes... I should have asked. Lesson learned. But restaurants also know exactly what they're doing when upgrade pricing gets floated around casually without numbers attached. There's a difference between upselling and a sneak attack. Which makes this review frustrating because I genuinely loved almost everything else. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was fantastic. Service was friendly. But nothing tanks the ending of a brunch quite like feeling blindsided by steak math. Pro tip for future diners: If they suggest the upgraded steak, ask the price immediately. Ask twice. Possibly get it notarized. Three stars because I really do want to come back someday. But right now I still feel like I got hit with a reverse happy hour.

For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. By 7:30 on a Wednesday, the place was packed, which says everything. Exceptional service, amazing food, great drinks, and an all around fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back.

Because this isn't one of those places where you scan the menu, shrug, and say "I'll just take a beer." No no. Not just trying to be different for the sake of it. These drinks land. And if cocktails aren't your thing, don't worry... the beer and cider lineup is deep. Drafts, bottles, cans... it's like they said, "Why limit happiness?" And honestly? That's the tone of the whole place. Welcoming. Comfortable. Because this is where things get interesting... in a good way, mostly. The meatballs? Legit. The kind that make you pause mid-conversation just to acknowledge what's happening. The poutine... I mean, I'm legally obligated to say it... poutine routine. Couldn't resist. And thankfully, neither should you. It delivers. The sliders? Cooked perfectly. Juicy, balanced, exactly what you want. But... There's a small twist in the plot. That bacon jam. Someone in the kitchen is in love. And I respect it. But they might be a little too generous. It leans heavy. Not a dealbreaker, just a "whoa, okay, I see you" moment. Micro twist? You'll say you're full... and then still find yourself reaching for one more bite like it owes you money. Here's the bottom line. Twice Removed Gastropub knows exactly what it is. Great drinks. Solid food. A place that feels easy the second you walk in and even harder to leave. Four stars. We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits

We chose Boatyard in Fort Lauderdale to celebrate my cousin's graduation, and what a choice she…read moremade! From start to finish, this place delivered on every level. We opted to sit outside, since it is waterfront and even though it was a hot summer day, it was surprisingly manageable since our covered table made all the difference while we enjoyed the stunning waterfront views. We kicked things off with cocktails, and some wine and the Sun Kissed Cocktail was an excellent choice. Not only was it delicious and refreshing, but the presentation was absolutely stunning . a real rose embedded inside an ice cube. It was almost too beautiful to drink... almost. For appetizers, we went with the Tropical Ceviche and the Tuna Tacos, and both were incredible. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and I loved the mango touch that both dishes shared as it added the perfect tropical sweetness. Then came the entrees, we shared the Shoyu Glazed Sea Bass served with a rice pilaf, edamame purée, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms, this fish was literally melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We also shared the Lobster Diavolo Pasta which was equally impressive and packed with generous chunks of lobster throughout the pasta, plus a whole small lobster to crack into. And then there were the side of Brussels Sprouts ... honestly, I never thought I'd be raving about a side dish, but here we are. Served shredded rather than whole, and tossed in the most incredible sauce, these were hands down some of the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had in my life. A must-order. Boatyard exceeded every expectation. The food, the atmosphere, the presentation .. all top tier. My cousin picked a winner, and we'll absolutely be back!

Our server (Daniel? Can't remember unfortunately) was great - he took photos of us when we asked, using our phone and our instax Polaroid which was so sweet, even pulled a sharpie out of his pocket so i could write the place and date on them. i love the way the staff work together as a team, one person might take your order, someone else delivers the food/checks in on you, etc. - we never had to wait long when we needed something. I loved the artichoke appetizer - unique way of serving them and the cream sauce was delicious. I ordered the full snapper it was so good, perfectly golden crispy on the outside and tender meat on the inside. I would have loved the option to pair it with something besides rice but the dill rice itself was really good. Mostly the sides are à la carte. The bolognese was also delicious, as was the swordfish. The bread is also sweet and delicious, used to be free, now it's $8 for a tiny loaf. Overpriced for some bread. The full snapper was $59, most entrees are 40-50. I guess you also pay for the setting and view. Good experience overall, this was my second time at boatyard and I'm sure I'll be back again.

I thought no one would be there on a Monday night, but it got packed - make reservations! Vinny, our server, was great. Tried the Golden Bee and the Takato Smash. I think I liked the Takato Smash more. Tried a bunch of appetizers, the shrimp tempura was nice and crispy and salty. The bao buns- the buns themselves were soft and fluffy, duck tender and came apart very nicely. Rolls were great, sashimi tasted fresh, the lamb chops were cooked very well. Lobster udon- noodles were nice and chewy. Shared a shaved ice dessert- I forgot what it was called but it had frozen shaved milk and some strawberry mochi in the middle. Whatever it was, it was amazing. Service was good. Really the only downside was the obnoxiously loud group sitting next to us. They also threw crap that landed on our sashimi bowl. Can't control everything I guess. Outside of that however, fantastic experience.

First we had cosmopolitans at the bar, met some nice people and the bartender was great! We had a great server, his name I believe was Raiden and his work partner, Arthur, both were great, very attentive and helpful! Our dinners were great from the rolls to the ribeye steak, to the chicken breast, to the very tasty lobster tails w REAL butter!!! No room for dessert and we took half our dinners home! Lol The restaurant was very busy esp. for a Monday when we left. Totally recommend!!!

Continued to go through the years mainly on especial occasions always walking away very satisfied. The last two recent times there were not so satisfying as before. Have noticed a decline in all of those same things I loved about Tropical Acres. In particular, the food portions, the ambiance and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. Service still decent, but not stellar. Food still decent, but not so amazing to justify the prices $$$+. The classy feel and romantic vibe are gone. Feels more like sort of an upsacle diner than the fancy steakhouse restaurant it used to be. After my last visit, have decided perhaps not to visit on a special holiday or occasion and see if it makes any difference to give it another chance (maybe). This restaurant has been one of my top choices for fancy dining and excellent food for a long time and hate to give it up, since there is a lot of competition around for the same type of restaurant.
