    Tuna Sandwich
    Rajiv A.

Definitely one of the best frito Pie I have had in a long time. They were super generous with their chili as well as frito chips. Every bite was just a match made in heaven. The sweetness of the chili with the saltiness of the chips was worth it! Will definitely be back for that! The tuna sandwich was okay, the bread was a little dry but then again, the frito pie was where it was at.

Just a solid, home-cooked style lunch spot if you're in downtown OKC. I come into OKC a couple times a month and work out of an office across the street from here and I love that I can get a decent little lunch for under $10. I really enjoy the chicken noodle soup! Sandwiches aren't anything super special, but a good, home style sandwich. Check out the blue plate special. It's rotating daily. I'm not a huge meatloaf person, but I do enjoy it here when it's on special. The lady who takes orders is sweet and you can tell that she takes an effort to get to know her regulars. There are large windows in the dining area, so it makes for a great spot to do some people watching. This is definitely a worthy lunch spot if you just want an efficient, filling lunch at a great price!

Oh boy, I have trouble staying away from this place! I work downtown so there are quite a bit of restaurants to choose from during the work day. I come here the most though as it reminds me of some home cooking. The blue plate special is $13.05 everyday but varies day to day. It is always a large portion and comes w a roll and a drink. I've tried the chicken fried steak meal, the roast meal, the baked chicken meal, the beef stroganoff, the smothered chicken. The buttered potatoes are to die for. Everything has been wonderful. It's always busy in there and the lady who takes orders is so kind! I'm not sure if her name but she has dark hair and glasses! She remembers my name!

Such a cute place!! They have Blue Plate Specials that change every day and are served on blue plates...CUTE! Today was turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, a yeast roll, and a drink. It was really terrific! I would've looked more gravy, but basically I can drink gravy, so take that for what it's worth.... my son ordered the pulled pork sandwich and said it was great! He didn't need to drown it in barbecue sauce. We also got a cinnamon roll & piece of strawberry cake to share. To Die For

Sweets & Eats has awesome specials and great food all around but Wednesday's are my favorite - pot roast day! Eating here makes me feel like I am eating a true home cooked meal. Everything on their menu is so flavorful and delicious. The Wednesday pot roast special comes with carrots, green beans, mash potatoes, a soft roll and lots of gravy. The portions are large and you walk out super full. Your meal also comes with a drink - yes please They also have strawberry and chocolate cake that are soooo freaking good. The employees are so nice and the food comes out fast and hot. I highly recommend giving Sweets & Eats a try if you haven't already.

This charmingly quaint spot in downtown OKC would fit in better in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. I had the turkey and dressing blue plate special, which came with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. My first thought was to describe it as "just like your momma made it", but I think it would be more accurate to say "just like the community dinner served at church". It was all very tasty and filling, but nothing too special. At $9 a meal, I would recommend going elsewhere downtown, but this is certainly worth a try just for the unique feel to the place.

Chicken fried steak blue plate special. You want this.

i returned to Sweets and Eats last Tuesday when the blue plate special was chicken fried steak. As I anticipated, I am able to update my review and bump S&E up a star. The chicken fry was LEGIT. First of all, it's pan fried, not deep fried. This, in my opinion, is the superior method. But, so many places just dunk the steak in a deep fryer. I'm not saying that method can't produce a very good steak; it can. But, I prefer pan frying. When we approached the window to order, we saw a guy running 4 large cast iron skillets at once, pan frying the steaks. I tried to get a picture but the place was packed and that didn't work out. But, it clear wasn't this guy's first rodeo, he was getting them out very quickly. Additionally, he drained the excess oil off of each steak, which makes them crispier when they get to you. We didn't even wait 5 minutes before we had our lunches. The special includes the steak, gravy, corn, mashed potatoes, and a yeast roll. All of this plus an iced tea was less than $11, including tax. All were fantastic. The steak needed a knife, which is okay. The breading was crisp and seasoned well, and adhered well to the meat. The gravy wasn't too thick and needed more pepper for my taste. But, it was a nice consistency. The mashed potatoes were the "worst" part of the meal. I put worst in quotations because they still were very good, just the worst part of the meal. The corn was seasoned VERY well. And, the yeast roll was textbook: hot, dense, but not too thick, but a nice exterior. Went very well sopping up the excess gravy. We all agreed we could have easily eaten a whole other lunch, it was that good. I checked the website, and it looks like S&E only does chicken fries every 2 weeks or so. But, next time chicken fry is the blue plate special, you'll find me here.

    Chicken bacon ranch spud
    Jet A.

Happened upon sweets and eats at The Bleu Garten. We ordered the chicken nachos and chicken bacon ranch spud. They used 'what seemed like' your typical movie theater nacho cheese, chips, pickled jalapeños, and sour cream on the nachos. For $7-8? Can't say it's worth the price but the portion was huge so fed good to share! The spud was tender and packed full of toppings in every bite! so it was a bigger hit imo.

Taco Salad. Large portion. Enough for two people. Looks like a UFO plate.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

We brought a business guest here for a meeting, and unfortunately the experience started on a disappointing note. When we ordered drinks, we were told several items listed on the menu were unavailable. While shortages happen, it immediately left the impression that things were not running smoothly. We began with the blue cheese chips, a dish the restaurant has long been known for. To our surprise, they arrived completely cold, as though they had just come out of the refrigerator. Our guest didn't even touch them. I then ordered the halibut, which had previously been one of my favorite entrées. This time, the fish was rubbery and overcooked, and the shrimp risotto was dry with virtually no broth or sauce to bring the dish together. Overall, the entire experience felt lackluster and disappointing. More than anything, I was embarrassed that we had chosen this restaurant to host an important business guest. It's unfortunate to see a place that once felt so special fall so far short of expectations.

Originally had a 9 PM reservation but was able to replace it with a 7:15 PM reservation. Unfortunately, the road by the restaurant was closed, making it very difficult to find parking and being able to physically walk to the restaurant. Due to construction, we arrived at the restaurant by 7:30 PM, which, as stated per policy that 15 minutes was allowed in order to not get our reservation reservations canceled. My party of three was not able to get seated until a little after 8 PM, not sure why. I believe we were told that they were not enough tables despite our reservation. Honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal but my party and I were a bit confused lol. We were seated in the area of the restaurant that was a bit, secluded from the rest of the floor, I think there were only three tables total in that section. Our server was amazing. His name was Jason. He did such a good job at explaining the dishes we were interested about, gave us really good recommendations and took very well care of us. We ordered a lot of food! Appetizers, we started off with the Korean fried chicken, which was crispy and crunchy. I would get them again as an entrée. We also got the house rolls that came with a gochujang like butter, had a hint of sweetness along with spicy. I ordered the American Wagyu ribeye as recommended by our server Jason. He told us that the rib I would be so soft that a butter knife could cut through it, honestly, it didn't taste as amazing as it sounds. I hate to put that in this review, but maybe it was my unfortunate luck. No complaints though because it was still good, just not as described. Big old chunk of meat, so it was nice being able to take it home as well. I guest at the table ordered the bra, short rib rigatoni, it was very interesting to see the Korean flavors connect with pasta! The other guest at my table had the very short rib with sweet potato grits, the short rib was so flavorful that I'm intrigued to get that next time. I was pleasantly shocked at how much flavor and how tender it was, I was jealous. I'm a big fries girlie, so we ordered the side of fries with spicy ketchup. To my surprise, the ketchup was actually spicy. We also ordered the brussels sprouts as our side, it was addicting. Probably one of the best brussels sprouts I've had. The banana pudding and Keylime pie was for to go, and unfortunately for you guys I did not get dessert to go. Although I will not be able to describe it to you all, the two guests I went with said they were too good. For some odd reason, this visit was so much better and tastier. I would love to come back.

Maht | Chef Kevin…read moreLee's Maht arrives as one of Oklahoma City's most ambitious dining experiences, threading Korean-American influences through a steakhouse framework with results that range from very good to genuinely unforgettable. Start with the sweet shrimp carpaccio stop everything, order this first. It's the rare dish where every element earns its place: delicate, briny sweetness from the shrimp harmonizing in a combination of flavors that felt both surprising and inevitable. The table agreed it was the dish of the night. The strawberry crème bingsu may be the most talked-about dessert in OKC right now, and the hype is earned. Strawberry sorbet, fresh berries, condensed milk, whisper-light bingsu snow, and the crunch of pistachios -- it's architectural and refreshing all at once. We found Maht because of a bingsu video on Instagram, and I've had bingsu in Korea. This is the best I've encountered. In between, the kimchi risotto impresses with genuine kimchi funk and umami depth. The salt + pepper green beans are deceptively simple -- a clean hit of chili heat that disappears off the table. The bokbunja glazed duck delivers on both flavor and presentation, and the snow crab mac and cheese is lush and satisfying, though the crab itself gets a little lost. The crab scallion pancake is generous and well-seasoned; the parker house rolls lean on the chili crunch honey butter (rightfully so). The gochujang lamb chops have good bones but the gochujang pushes a bit hard. The scallop crudo felt like the one course still searching for balance a touch small for the price and slightly oversauced. The New Whiskey Sour with egg white foam branded with "Maht" is a thoughtful touch that delivers. Maht isn't without room to grow, but when it's on and it's on often it's one of the most exciting meals in the state.
