Cute store front right in downtown Corbin. There was a charity sand volleyball tournament going on behind the building tonight, along with a carnival down the way. We found Sweeties by doing a search for ice cream and desserts in the area. They sure didn't disappoint. GPS will lead you right to it. They have a small parking lot with about 10 spaces. We fit a huge F350 with a kayak rack into one of the spaces. Security was hanging out in the parking lot, I think to keep those that would park there, honest. Nice guy for sure though. We watched the volleyball while we ate our ice cream. They have a walk up window in back of the building too. Large patio area with picnic tables too. Really surprised that it was empty with it being a hot Saturday night with so much going on around town. Their claim to fame are epic milkshakes. They are serious Insta-worthy shakes in traditional glasses. We saw pictures and discarded still-frosted glasses but did not order one. They do have a good selection of flavors and cones. Hubs had a chocolate dipped waffle cone with traditional vanilla. I had the coconut almond bliss single scoop in a cup. Prices are great and they use Square so I could pay with my watch. (I always appreciate it having to lug in my purse for a quick hit.) They we're well staffed. Placed our order at the counter, paid at the end, and they called me within 2 mins. Found nothing of note that wouldn't afford this summertime staple business 5 stars. Definitely worth finding if you're in town.

Outrageous Milkshake with the cake - a person in the store had it, but I did not get a picture before he started eating it

We were in town white water rafting and were looking for something sweet. I tried Yelp and nothing in Corbin appeared for ice cream. On the road we saw signs for Sweeties - so we figured out they were just a few blocks down from where we had dinner. We were looking for someplace to have Bourbon ice cream and deliver they did. They have lots of different ice cream flavors, some with crazy names. The staff was very nice and explained everything that was in each type. But what was truly amazing and unique was the Outrageous Milkshakes. I attached pictures, because a description seriously does not do it justice. With names like Celebration (with a slice of cake on top), to Moonbow Fantasy that has a pop tart, they are quite the creations. My 17 year old son had the Chocolate Overload - Chocolate Shake, chocolate frosted rim, chocolate chips on the side, caramel drizzle and whipped cream. He took half of it home! The three adults had various ice cream flavors (including the Bourbon pecan) and they were all excellent. They also make fresh doughnuts - although we did not have any - looked delicious.

If you love ice cream or you love root beer, stop here. They must have a zillion different brands of root beer and a plentiful array of ice cream flavors both the standard and the unusual. The servers were friendly and helpful in making our selections. Cute decor and plenty of parking. We will come back!

Ordered a earthquake sundae. Lots of chocolate and huge. First time eating here. Pretty messy. It was delicious.

This is a jewel in an area that is dominated by Mexican and Chinese offers in. However do not order…read morethe cheese grits. The Mac and Cheese is some of the best. The place is a warm and welcoming atmosphere with bold and vibrant colors that is unique to the Corbin area. The menu offers something for everyone. Ya-Ya's menu offers guests a wide range of alternatives and showcases Southern mainstays and Creole classics. Jambalaya, a smoky and spicy rice dish loaded with meat and vegetables, and Étouffée, a thick and savory stew seasoned with traditional spices, are examples of signature foods. Those who enjoy seafood can add shrimp, crab, crawfish, or sausage to their seafood boil, along with a variety of seasonings such Old Bay, Cajun, or Ya-Ya's own mix. Spaghetti aficionados might savor the Cajun Alfredo or the luscious andouille spaghetti. The menu also features traditional homestyle dishes like pot roast, chicken and dumplings, and chicken pot pie, all of which are crafted with the same attention to detail that makes one think of home-cooked meals. The Shepherd's pie, country fried steak, and fried chicken are among the menu items for people seeking substantial Southern comfort food. A memorable and fulfilling dining experience is provided by the careful preparation of each dish using premium ingredients. A excellent dinning experience.
