Dining room - Inside an ice cream shop, four people are seated at tables along a brick wall, with one person showing their phone to others. The shop features brick and colorful painted walls, with ice cream-themed decorations and framed pictures. Staff members are visible in the background, preparing orders near a counter and a Pepsi machine. The floor is wood, and the lighting is warm and inviting.

Cute store front right in downtown Corbin. There was a charity sand volleyball tournament going on behind the building tonight, along with a carnival down the way. We found Sweeties by doing a search for ice cream and desserts in the area. They sure didn't disappoint. GPS will lead you right to it. They have a small parking lot with about 10 spaces. We fit a huge F350 with a kayak rack into one of the spaces. Security was hanging out in the parking lot, I think to keep those that would park there, honest. Nice guy for sure though. We watched the volleyball while we ate our ice cream. They have a walk up window in back of the building too. Large patio area with picnic tables too. Really surprised that it was empty with it being a hot Saturday night with so much going on around town. Their claim to fame are epic milkshakes. They are serious Insta-worthy shakes in traditional glasses. We saw pictures and discarded still-frosted glasses but did not order one. They do have a good selection of flavors and cones. Hubs had a chocolate dipped waffle cone with traditional vanilla. I had the coconut almond bliss single scoop in a cup. Prices are great and they use Square so I could pay with my watch. (I always appreciate it having to lug in my purse for a quick hit.) They we're well staffed. Placed our order at the counter, paid at the end, and they called me within 2 mins. Found nothing of note that wouldn't afford this summertime staple business 5 stars. Definitely worth finding if you're in town.

Outrageous Milkshake with the cake - a person in the store had it, but I did not get a picture before he started eating it

We were in town white water rafting and were looking for something sweet. I tried Yelp and nothing in Corbin appeared for ice cream. On the road we saw signs for Sweeties - so we figured out they were just a few blocks down from where we had dinner. We were looking for someplace to have Bourbon ice cream and deliver they did. They have lots of different ice cream flavors, some with crazy names. The staff was very nice and explained everything that was in each type. But what was truly amazing and unique was the Outrageous Milkshakes. I attached pictures, because a description seriously does not do it justice. With names like Celebration (with a slice of cake on top), to Moonbow Fantasy that has a pop tart, they are quite the creations. My 17 year old son had the Chocolate Overload - Chocolate Shake, chocolate frosted rim, chocolate chips on the side, caramel drizzle and whipped cream. He took half of it home! The three adults had various ice cream flavors (including the Bourbon pecan) and they were all excellent. They also make fresh doughnuts - although we did not have any - looked delicious.

Menu - Three chalkboard menus are mounted on a purple wall at Sweeties dessert shop in Corbin, KY. The menus feature a variety of ice cream flavors, mini doughnuts, toppings, floats, snowcones, and soft drinks, with prices listed for each item. The left menu highlights ice cream flavors such as Old Fashioned Vanilla, PB/Chocolate, and Rainbow Sherbet. The middle menu details mini doughnuts and floats, while the right menu lists toppings, snowcones, and soft drinks. The setup suggests a casual, colorful dessert shop environment.

If you love ice cream or you love root beer, stop here. They must have a zillion different brands of root beer and a plentiful array of ice cream flavors both the standard and the unusual. The servers were friendly and helpful in making our selections. Cute decor and plenty of parking. We will come back!

Earthquake - A large ice cream sundae is presented in a tall glass, topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a maraschino cherry. The sundae appears to have multiple layers, including chocolate sauce dripping down the sides of the glass. In the background, a person wearing a colorful, patterned shirt is visible, with their hands clasped together. The setting suggests a casual dining or dessert shop environment.

Ordered a earthquake sundae. Lots of chocolate and huge. First time eating here. Pretty messy. It was delicious.

They're pretty hit or miss here. Sometimes excellently prepared, sometimes excessively over salted,…read moresometimes just lack of cook's experience. I tried the prime rib special with two sides. Requested medium rare with sides of fried okra and green beans (before realizing green beans aren't in their menu). Our friendly waiter recommended broccoli or asparagus. I chose asparagus which was completely overdone to charred, woody and inedible. I've done that myself at home but this should not have been plated. I didn't mind no asparagus but was surprised it was an up charge (premium side - should've read the menu more thoroughly). Overall, you can't go wrong with the regular fare like burgers and appetizers. It's a clean restaurant with very friendly staff - they make you feel special, almost like family. Give them a try but don't expect quality restaurant cuisine. This is a diner with ambience.

Stopped in on our way home to Tennessee from Ohio. If you didn't know it was there you wouldn't…read morenotice it. It's located behind Walgreens. We were seated right away. The restaurant was playing "old style" Christmas music (like from the 40's-60's) over the speakers that was very pleasant. There is a full service bar on one side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was very clean. Our server came right over and took our drink order, then our food order. She also brought us a loaf of brown bread with soft butter. We decided to split the grilled salmon with the house made potato cakes and steamed broccoli. It was all delicious! The potato cakes were killer! The best we've ever had! The server said they make them here. They also have them on the appetizer menu. We HIGHLY recommend them!! The broccoli was cooked just right with what tasted like minced garlic and a little Parmesan maybe. Very flavorful. The salmon was topped with a diced tomato relish that was nice. We really enjoyed the entire meal and experience! Our server, Aerial, was wonderful!! We go back and forth between TN and Ohio quite often. We will definitely be back.

The Depot On Main - Small side salad $6 extra. Not included with the meal.

Pretty good. Not like on the Malones level but probably the best thing in downtown corbin. I wish…read morethat was saying a lot. The steak was ok. I was a little annoyed that it was lunch and I was told that they only have mashed potatoes for dinner when my coworkers freaking meal CAME WITH mashed potatoes. But oh well. The server was a nice lady. Prior to going in I was sitting in the back lot waiting on my coworker and saw a guy pull up and go in the restaurants back door completely bare foot and then come out a few seconds later. So that was strange. Either way, if you have to eat downtown corbin, this is worth the visit.

It's pretty dark inside but the lighting fixtures they have are very unique! Wear a lighter layer under your coat/sweater cause it is pretty toasty in there. Our waitress took our order only to find out the prime rib that was advertised out front wasn't available - so she retook everyone's order about 5 minutes later and what I assume was the manager came out to apologize. He stated that he kept reminding the staff to flip the specials out front, assuming this is a reoccurring problem. Three out of six ordered the cowboy ribeye (another advertised special) and it was the same quality you'd get going to Waffle House, unfortunately. The fat wasn't rendered properly leading to rubbery texture and there wasn't a proper sear. 2/10 The other three of us picked the bowl of potato soup (6/10), Philly Cheese Sandwich (9/10), and Shrimp Scampi (7/10). The potato soup was pretty standard and could've used a little more seasoning. When I took my leftovers home, I added onion & garlic powder, kinders the blend, and salt & pepper and it was perfect! Shrimp Scampi tasted good but the noodles were well past Al dente. Not a big deal for the person who ordered it but something to note if you're a texture person. Overall, it was mediocre service (I think our server was new) and hit or miss food. It would be a great place to stop and grab some drinks at the bar, though.
