They're pretty hit or miss here. Sometimes excellently prepared, sometimes excessively over salted, sometimes just lack of cook's experience. I tried the prime rib special with two sides. Requested medium rare with sides of fried okra and green beans (before realizing green beans aren't in their menu). Our friendly waiter recommended broccoli or asparagus. I chose asparagus which was completely overdone to charred, woody and inedible. I've done that myself at home but this should not have been plated. I didn't mind no asparagus but was surprised it was an up charge (premium side - should've read the menu more thoroughly). Overall, you can't go wrong with the regular fare like burgers and appetizers. It's a clean restaurant with very friendly staff - they make you feel special, almost like family. Give them a try but don't expect quality restaurant cuisine. This is a diner with ambience. read more

Stopped in on our way home to Tennessee from Ohio. If you didn't know it was there you wouldn't notice it. It's located behind Walgreens. We were seated right away. The restaurant was playing "old style" Christmas music (like from the 40's-60's) over the speakers that was very pleasant. There is a full service bar on one side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was very clean. Our server came right over and took our drink order, then our food order. She also brought us a loaf of brown bread with soft butter. We decided to split the grilled salmon with the house made potato cakes and steamed broccoli. It was all delicious! The potato cakes were killer! The best we've ever had! The server said they make them here. They also have them on the appetizer menu. We HIGHLY recommend them!! The broccoli was cooked just right with what tasted like minced garlic and a little Parmesan maybe. Very flavorful. The salmon was topped with a diced tomato relish that was nice. We really enjoyed the entire meal and experience! Our server, Aerial, was wonderful!! We go back and forth between TN and Ohio quite often. We will definitely be back. read more

We stayed at the local Baymont hotel and had the Old Town Grill delivered via DoorDash. It was excellent! The bread was so good and soft, our food was fresh and everything tasted great, with the exception of my ribs(just okay.) The potions were huge! Definitely do not pass up the homemade blackberry cobbler! read more

Terrible, just terrible. We get there at around 5:30, get seated, and get our drinks and appetizers, we put in our orders and we get the food an hour and 20 minutes later, it felt very empty and I've now seen why. Food was cold and when we got a comp for a free ice cream it was melted almost entirely. Many others around left before getting food. Not coming back for a long long time. read more

So sorry it was "Highly Recommended" by the Hampton Inn front desk, complete and utter disappointment! Service was good, prices were average, my steak had so much fat and grizzle in it, the 12 oz Sirloin was a 4 oz Sirloin by the time I got the nasty fat and grizzle off of it! Baked potato was big and cooked perfectly but even I can make a great baked potato! My wife's 1/3 pound burger was overcooked and dry, seasoned french fries were limp and undercooked. Being from Michigan passing through, place seems popular to the locals, who knows maybe this areas standards of good food is different than ours, I though being in Kentucky, I was going to get a great steak and my wife a juicy grilled burger.............ambiance was exactly what we thought it would be, about the same as walking into an Outback Steak House or Sports Bar, but food totally ruined the experience. My husband and I went there to have OTG salad and stuffed baked potatoes. which is my favorite meal there so my husband decided to order that too. Even though it was only for Monday through Friday 11 to 4. our nice waiter came back to tell us it wasn't serviced on weekends. I told our waiter that they needed to service that meal weekly. Since, we both work daily and don't get back in town after 4:00pm . So the meal I ordered wasn't very appetizing as I thought it would be. I'm sorry but if the OTG salad and stuffed Baked Potatoes Meal is so popular during the week. I believe the OTG needs to service it during the whole week and weekend. Went to old town in Corbin yesterday because it was the closest place to my daughters work. I told the waitress when we sat down that she only has half an hour for her lunch break. She got there and we ordered. Half an hour later when she had to leave we still didn't have our food, there were only about 5 tables with customers in the whole restaurant btw. She finally had to leave to get back to work and we just told her we would get her food to go and drop it off. An hour later after only seeing our waitress once I asked another waitress to please have our food put in a to go box that we had to be at an appt. They brought the food out and I paid for it, the waitress apologized and said they only have one cook. Well, one cook? There were only 5 tables and all we ordered was a club sandwich and chicken strips. Over an hour?!!! We left so fast I didn't check they food but when I did the club sandwich had like 2 pieces of ham no turkey and no bacon. How is that a 10 dollar club sandwich! Do not go to this restaurant. This restaurant is off the Corbin bypass tucked in behind a liquor store. We decided to try this out as we like new places we've never been to. We were seated immediately and then began the wait for our drinks. Finally, someone came over and asked about our drink choice. I wanted to try one of the beers advertised on the list. After about 4 times of hearing we don't have that (it was on the list) I went for a simple blue moon. 10 minutes later, our drinks arrive with some partially cold rolls and butter. We ordered the artichoke dip which was really good. I got the black & blue burger and the other got the sinful chicken. The food was ok but rather bland seeming. Overall the place had a feel of a low grade restaurant trying to be something it wasn't. Will likely not go back. read more

My fiancé and I stopped here while traveling on i75 from Ohio to North Carolina to take a break and refuel our bellies. I had low expectations going in since it seemed like a lot of the restaurants nearby were run down or had gone out of business. We were pleasantly surprised when Ken, our server sat us down and provided us with some of the best customer service I've ever experienced in a restaurant (and we've been to many "upscale" places). Not to mention the food was awesome and cooked to perfection (I had the chicken fried chicken, she got a steak). Bathrooms were well maintained and very clean. The restaurant as a whole was clean and inviting. Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely stop by again the next time I travel. Ask for Ken, he is great!!! read more

First off the management is terrible. There were literally workers everywhere. At least 7-8 waiters. 3-4 cooks. Plus additional people were continuously walking in and out of the kitchen with OTG shirts on and I'm not sure they were on the clock. There were only 4 tables occupied and a few people at the bar but we still stood at the door for 10 minutes. 3 different women came to our table for service and the person that took our order never returned but was still working. Several times a waiter came out of the kitchen with a platter of food and didn't know where it went. Remember? Only 4 tables occupied. The food was less than avg. the potatoes tasted old and were only partially warm like they were microwaved. The gator tail was ok but also both warm and cold. Our dinner salads were the size of side salads and not worth the price if that was the correct size. The cost for the meal was fine if the meal had at least been warmed through. There did appear to be a manager there but was equally as confused as everyone else that walked by asking other workers who was next to be served? I blame the management completely. No organization whatsoever. Mediocre food. Will not be going back. read more

Won't be going back. Ordered a Caesar salad and it came to the table made of iceberg lettuce instead of romaine. The floor might have been swept last month, and one of the sinks in the restroom wouldn't even turn on. Waitress seemed put out that she was even there. If you are southern, and like sweet tea, here is NOT the place for you. Tea was so weak you could read thru it and no sugar at all, and we specifically ordered sweet tea. After they changed food vendors, the food portions become smaller and a few items just doesn't taste the same as they once did. The bars a cool spot to hangout with the locals and have a laugh with some cool bartenders, but the overall food quality has dropped here. read more

Thought this restaurant would be a great place to eat for Father's Day, but I was sadly mistaken. The meal took 45 minutes in a restaurant that wasn't even busy, half of the tables around us were empty. Not all of the food arrived at the same time and some of the orders were wrong. The drinks were only checked on and refilled once. The family next to us waited so long for food that they decided to leave with their waitress apologizing repeatedly. We were immediately seated but had to walk around spilled food and drink on the floor that had obviously been there for awhile. Waitress was nice and gave us good service throughout the date, 5 out of 5. The food was a 4 out of 5, I had the half pound bacon cheeseburger and fries and my date had the breaded pork chops with baked potato and rice. Halfway through the meal and after two other groups of guests had to walk around the mess on the floor, it was finally cleaned up by our waitress. She was one busy gal!
