For me, the experience is a mix of what others have noted. On the positive end, the food is generally good here -- fresh and flavorful. More often than not, the bowl is filled generously with a reasonable amount of meat for the price. The textures are also quite good, consistent with the quality of the ingredients. The negatives do come from the service -- which i agree with what others have noted. That is, the lines are probably longer than they should be given the staffing level. It feels that other similar concepts are able to serve the customers quicker and in a more consistent manner than the way this assembly line is run at sweetgreen. With that said, this is a solid option if you're dining in the Willis tower as many of the spots nearby are fairly pricey and don't offer as much food for the price paid. read more

Frustrating first experience and don't recommend this location. I placed an order through ritual app - this location is on their app. Upon confirmation of the order I went down to pick up in their mobile section only to get scolded by one of the employees when asked about the status of my order. I showed her my confirmation via the ritual app only for her to not apologize for the inconvenience. I asked her if she could still fulfill the order since it took my payment only for her to tell me she had no clue what ritual was. She brushed me off and could tell she was starting to raise her voice. I walked away. I asked another employee who was a bit more kind, but same experience -- a lack of customer service skills. I totally understand the amount of buzz and pressure during rush lunch hour, but an apology would have been nice and an order to be made for the inconvenience would have been appreciated. Reached out to ritual and refunded my order immediately. My friend who ordered a salad on the same day had her order wrong also. I love sweetgreen, so I frequent this location once a week because it is right next to my school. However, this location experiences heavy delays, especially during peak lunch hours. Always check the app at least one hour prior and see what the estimated pickup times are!! It has quite literally taken over an hour for them to make my bowl before. Food is usually good, however, there was one time when I ordered the new chipotle chicken bowl & the container wasn't even halfway full. I'm not kidding. I didn't say anything because it did take SO long for me to get my order & I did not want to bother them while they were busy, but I was not satisfied. I ordered the same bowl again today at the Lincoln Park location & the serving size HAS to be twice what they gave me at this location. I have been going to this location in the Willis Tower for several months and it has been pretty consistent in terms of service and food quality. In most cases I use the app because waiting in line can take 30 minutes or longer. If I place my order by 10:30 a.m., it will be ready by Noon, per the app. If placed later it is usually ready by 1:30 or 2:00, so I make sure to order early. My go-to order is the Fish Taco salad which comes with baked salmon on a bed of arugula, quinoa, half of an avocado, cilantro, red cabbage, and tortilla chips along with a red chili sauce dressing and a green verde-like dressing that I get on the side. I like this pairing because it feels like I am having chips and guac., and then a salmon/quinoa/salad. The half of avocado portion is a really nice and I finish it with my last bite of salad. Only once I tried this salad with romaine lettuce instead of arugula and it just didn't taste the same, so it made me a believer in eating this salad with arugula. For spicy food lovers the red chile sauce has a tiny kick to it that can last about 10 seconds but longer if your palette is not used to spice, at least that's what one of my coworkers told me. Also, the Super Green Goddess which is their cheapest salad on the menu priced under $10.00 is also very good. It comes with half kale and half spinach but instead of spinach I get half argula. Also, instead of beets I substitute for quinoa and add apples. The black lentils plus the quinoa make this a protein power packed salad. read more

Had this for the first time at my new job recently. I love the variety of options you can choose from and it seems to be very leaf-heavy, which I don't mind at all. The sauces they have are different than many others I've tried at various restaurants. When I ate here, the line had a few people and chatting with my boss made it seem quicker than it was. However, I walked here with a coworker yesterday, and the line quickly filled to over 25 people. It took her around 10-15 minutes to get her bowl, but the order ahead shelf seemed stocked. I'd definitely like to eat here during lunch but would recommend checking ahead or taking an early/late lunch. I ordered a tofu custom bowl for lunch around 12:45 on a Saturday, and it was ready at least ten minutes ahead of schedule. Pickup was fast and easy. I felt like there definitely wasn't enough tofu for it as a premium ingredient and there was a ton of filler (spring mix). Otherwise though, it was made well. It's peak lunch hour on a Wednesday and it took me 20 minutes to get through the line because, despite being fully staffed, only one or two people were making salads. One of the people who makes the salads sat there and organized bread slices when there was a line of 40 people. Who cares if the bread is in alternating position when there's a line that long?? It was clear no one was in charge. The worker at the cashier told someone to help the line and the guy literally said laughed, said "no" and walked to the back. I have never received the correct order here. My office orders online and I have never had all of the items in the order. It's always an item that I paid extra for that's missing, too. If you haven't ordered from sweetgreen, all of the ingredients are in a list format on the receipt, so it's insane how often they simply miss items on that list. Today, I received a bowl that was not even half full, missing ingredients, and cold, even though I showed up 10 minutes before it said it would be ready for pickup. Sweetgreen could save a lot of time, money and effort with better up-front customer service. Let people cancel orders if the wait time is too long. Let people speak with a human by phone. These are all basics for customer-focused businesses. They should be table stakes for a company with a product as good as Sweetgreen's. ORIGINAL: Placed an order and was given an estimate of 1 hour 40 minutes ... in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. We tried to cancel it and, it turns out, Sweetgreen does not allow order cancellations, regardless of the wait. The company won't allow you to speak with a human and the only customer service option is via text, which took more than an hour for response. Good food (when it's warm and on time). This was the first place I chose out of the entire food court. My husband was the one to pick his meal first. He picked the miso glazed salmon bowl with white rice and a couple of other additions. The girl working at the front put gloves on and crossed her hands with the gloves, rubbing all over her shirt and touching her skin which is already a red flag for me. What's the point of wearing gloves if you're going to be touching your oils and hair? It's disgusting. Then, for some reason, she roughly and abruptly pulled out the containers, took out half of avocado that was orange on the cut side, scooped it out, tried to flip it over to hide the orange coloring, and when it didn't work out, she made an irritated sound. Then she kept adding things to the bowl with some weird type of agitation, causing the food to fall over the counter, and then she pulled out this burned up piece of salmon and everything was just disgusting. I was standing there in shock and I told them that I am not going to be ordering a second bowl for myself. I went over to the Brown Bag that serves seafood and it was fresh and delicious.
