It's about time Anita's Scoops got the rating it deserves! This is a great lunch place, cozy and…read morewarm, with fast, friendly service and made-to-order pulled pork sandwiches. Everything is reasonably priced. An excellent choice for local businesses for take-out and return to the office. A unique choice, too. Do keep in mind the hours; if your idea of lunch is before 11:30 a.m. or past 4 o'clock, you'll have to go elsewhere. The sandwiches are custom-built beginning with a layer of delicious, slow cooked pork, then layered with ingredients as per the "Sammy" you order. Mine was the Pigout Sammy, which was a layer of pulled pork on a fresh Costanzo roll, then a layer of baked beans, macaroni and cheese (the real stuff, not that powdered orange yuck), coleslaw (cheddar cheese, onions and jalapenos, which I passed on) and topped with broken-up potato chips, served in a basket with a wrapped-in-paper pickle and a small container of cole slaw. It was amazingly flavorful, warm as the atmosphere and heater we were seated next to. Granted, it's an ice cream shop by Summer, but an ingenious way to maintain a business during the off season. With a limited menu, it can't help but be wonderfully fresh and delicious. Today, there were two homemade soups, plus the daily staple of minestrone soup. I was impressed to see the huge containers of ice cream in the case with individual covers on, preserving freshness. Beverages were bottled water or soda and naturally, milkshakes. My guest ordered coffee and it was a piping hot, fresh individually-brewed cup. Though the place has very limited table seating, we were thrilled to snag a table by the large window that allowed natural light to fill the room. The owner was as hospitable as they come, welcoming and neighborly to stop-ins and strangers alike. Anita could not have been more accommodating! I encourage everyone to try Anita's Scoops, you'll be in for a great break from chain restaurants and patronizing the local businesses boosts spirits and supports their great deserving efforts. Five big stars!

Cute little ice cream shop with a variety of hard ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and more!…read more We ordered two premium sundaes which were loaded! Each came with hard ice cream, two specialty toppings. sauce, and fluffy whipped cream. The total came to about $17. They had lots of signs up to encourage social distancing, mask use, and to not allow anyone inside. They accept credit cards and cash, but not Apple Pay. The service was friendly and they made our sundaes kinda quickly. My only criticism was that the paper menus taped on the windows were small, spread apart (some items were on the front window, others were on the side window), and they also didn't list any prices. Also- I'm not sure if this shop is under new ownership, but I don't believe it's called "Anita's" Scoops anymore, it's now called "Sundae Scoops".
