My friends and I were craving a sweet treat after dinner and decided to come here as they seemed to have a lot of options! I opted for the Nutella crepe which came with strawberry and banana slices as well as white chocolate sauce and Nutella. It was delish and definitely hit the spot! It was $13 so the price was pretty fair. It was also large enough to split between 2 people. There is plenty of seating but the place filled up pretty quick while I was there. Freaking fantastic. The desserts here are no joke. Stopped here for dessert on our way home from dinner and wow. The portions were so big this could have been dinner itself! I ordered the Halleez special bubble waffle and added a scoop of chocolate on top. Like over the top delicious! And my sister in law got the strawberry cheesecake bubble waffle which was also fantastic. Great service, plenty of seating in this cute spot! Highly recommend! read more

Was looking for a place that had cookie butter/Biscoff desserts, and I am so happy I discovered this place! We got the Biscoff bubble waffle with vanilla ice cream and it was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had! The waffle was made fresh and they definitely didn't skimp on the ingredients. Halleez in Lackawanna, NY is my go-to whenever I'm in town. The Nutella waffle with strawberries and bananas is a must -- warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and loaded with fresh fruit and rich Nutella. So good every time! Can't speak to the food, I haven't tried any yet but the redbull/ 7up bubblegum shake with peach boba is delicious and definitely gonna be my go to and the Nutella shake is to die for, and perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth! I can't wait to come back around December 1 and try out the new menu they are releasing! The service was great, they are nice and super helpful and friendly and the ambiance is great as well! Have been eating here for a long time and it's always amazing and tonight we ordered the same thing as we always do and it horrible we got bubble waffles and you can't even get through it with fork taste over cooked or like it's been sitting around one or the other. really sad spend $40 and all I could eat was the ice cream and toppings. I won't be going back anytime soon read more

Welp. This place is my new addiction. I fully intend to try everything on the menu and will find an excuse to end every (rare) night out with hubby or friends at Halleez. So far I have had the Nutella bubble waffle with a big old scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and most recently, Nutella sushi crepe. I was super curious to know what a sushi crepe was and what a cute, tasty treat (photos below)! I am clearly a sucker for anything Nutella, so next I'll be trying the rolled Nutella crepe, and can't wait to report back. Bottom line: this place is next level. You can't find inventive treats like this anywhere else in Buffalo. The waffles and crepes are freshly made and served to you warm, with your gooey toppings. It took me a little longer than expected, but I finally came back after having truly enjoyed the Yelp Elite experience here a little while ago. This visit I wound up going with the Purple Rain Bubble Waffle, which if my memory serves me correctly, was what I had mentioned in the Elite experience review would be what I'd try next, and again was super impressed with what I had. The bubble waffle is definitely a less dense and airy waffle, but was perfectly made and the black raspberry ice cream and blueberries were super fresh. The white chocolate chips and sauce plus regular chocolate sauce were very good. The tartness of the blueberry and raspberry in the ice cream helped to balance out the sweetness. Really enjoyed this visit, and there are still a few other waffle recipes and other treats I want to try here, and I'm sure it'll continue to impress. read more

New dessert option in Lackawanna that just opened up in November of 2021. Nice and clean, homemade ice cream . Huge, indulgent portions (I recommend sharing) . My father and I shared the Purple Rain Bubble waffle. I really enjoyed the fresh tasting black raspberry ice cream and the bubbles in the waffles broke off easily to make for a nice sized bite and easy eating . The loads of white chocolate made it a bit too sweet for me , I would go lighter on the sauce next time . Menu is limited but I found there are lots of different of combinations of waffles/ crepes with ice cream/toppings to choose from. I'd go back again with friends when I have a sweet tooth hankering! Went to try the desserts and I was not disappointed! The options especially, the ice cream flavor choices and toppings were fantastic and the service was really, really great. I got the rolled crêpe with three ice cream scoops and topped it with Biscoff cookies and Twix. We were really excited to try this place out during our trip to Buffalo. When we entered, we went straight to the register and the guy up front immediately went to the back room for several minutes before helping up. He was very disheveled and inefficient with everyone's order but it took nearly 25 mins to get our food with only 2 orders infront of us. The space is really cool modern looking room and quite cozy, but really wasn't pleasant as a group of teenage boys (who the one working seemed to know) couldn't go 2 words without swearing. It's a letdown because the food itself was really good but there were service issues and smaller issues (like no napkins at all) that would have us not come back. read more

I continue to frequent Halleez as I am addicted to the bubble waffles. However, this past visit I was able to try the roller crepe which was equally delicious. It was huge and made with the same fresh ingredients. We also tried the pistachio shake which was light, creamy, and had chopped pistachios in it. Walking in, you're greeted with the sweet smell of waffles cooking and chocolate. The inside is very lovely, decor is modern yet subtle. A little too quiet on the music though, myself and my friend who decided to stop on felt like we were whispering the entire time. Decided to indulge in a purple rain and lotus dessert on a bubble waffle and Leigh waffle respectively. Although good, the desserts came smothered in syrups and very sweet to the point if hurting my teeth. The ice cream was smooth and creamy which almost helped even that out. We did try a raspberry Redbull drink which was good but nothing to write home about. Was really expecting more of a raspberry flavor. Took home some cheesecake and it was delicious! Would like to try some other toppings. Maybe stop in for another dessert with half the syrup on it. read more

Shocked by all the amazing reviews. Came in to grab one waffle and there was no one in line in front of me. I thought the guy was making my waffle because it was the same one I ordered and it looked like he was handing it to me so I tried to take it and he was super rude to me. It was for some other person who had been waiting since way before I got there. Ended up taking over 20 minutes to get it, which is insane because there wasn't anyone in line ahead of me. Overall the guy working here seemed a lot more interested in talking to his friends that were hanging out than doing his job in a timely fashion. Would not recommend. read more

I stopped by here recently and was quite impressed and intend to return. I didn't have the time for something like their bubble or liege waffles so I went with the Qashta shake and it didn't disappoint either. There's pistachios both in and on top of the shake that went very well with the Qashta. They also have sundaes, smoothies, and redbull. Everything is reasonably priced between $6-$13 plus extras. It wasn't very busy when I was there so everything was made pretty fast but they seemed set up to handle it being very busy. Their dining room was nice and open and could accommodate a good number of people. This is definitely a spot worth checking out after a nice dinner in the area. read more

We absolutely love coming here. We live way up in the North Towns but this is completely worth the drive and we've been known to make a late night run down to Halleez when we need a special treat. Most times, we've gone at off peak hours, so there has been plenty of seating and we've gotten our food pretty quickly. During peak hours, it's definitely a little slower, but also totally worth the wait. The waffles are one of our favorites, as are the crepes. I really enjoy the Biscoff flavor. We've also enjoyed the baklava. My personal favorite is the chai tea - it is the perfect balance of spices, sweetness, and actual tea. A lot of chai teas don't actually feature the flavor of the chai. But this one does it perfectly. The staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking, plus clean bathrooms. We haven't had a single thing we haven't enjoyed and we've tried a good chunk of what's on the menu. Overall, this is a hidden gem and you should go check it out as soon as possible. read more

Stop in for creative ice cream desserts. I love the lotus sundae on the bubble waffle. Crepes and liege waffle also available. Biscoff ice cream is delicious. Staff is courteous. Locally owned and operated. It's definitely worth a visit. They have a handful of pre designed sundaes or you can create your own. Step aside and look at the menu. Soak it in. I ordered 2 waffles and the guy told me 35 minutes I waited about a hour just for him to call me back and say " we only had batter for one waffle not 2" With attitude and when I asked can I got the one free he told me "HELL NAHH" worst customer services ever won't be back. read more

They had six flavors: sangria - fruity, wine; honey whiskey - topped with a Biscoff; piña colada - not pictured because I skipped that one; mojito - lime and rum; black forest - chocolate cupcake with boozy cherry; peanut butter whiskey - also a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Presentation and toppings were all really lovely and looked delicious. Super creative concept all around. Most of the cupcakes were yellow or white cake, the rum, whiskey, and wine were noticeable but not strong. So you knew they were there, but not overwhelmed. Some people might actually want them to be stronger! The flavors in general were subtle but clear. The frostings were all pretty light and pleasant, which is nice. I know there's a lot of people who really like dense buttercream and cream cheese frostings and for whom cupcakes are a frosting delivery vehicle. These are not those. Plenty of rich and delicious frosting for the cupcake but not too much. The cupcakes are not following the super sized trend; they're a nice cupcake sized cupcake. This makes it easy to rationalize eating two at a time because, um, you wanted to compare flavors. Yep, that's totally why. I liked all the flavors I tried, but was surprised that my favorite was the chocolate peanut butter and my second favorite was the mojito. Only comments would be there's some variability as to the moistness or dryness of the cake part, and the filled ones could use more filling. The people at the pop-up (I forgot to ask if they were the bakers/ owners) are really nice and happy to answer any questions or customize an order. As you can tell by my substituting an extra black forest for the piña colada. They'll be back at the Broadway Market for Dyngus Day!

Cuccidati Inc. had a booth at the event ... and they had me at the word "cuccidati". :-D LOVE these cookies! If you are unfamiliar, cuccidati are iced-and-sprinkled fig-filled Italian cookies. They're like a soft, delectable, gourmet, top-shelf, high-class, prettier Fig Newton, but way better, haha. Whenever I see an Italian cookie spread at a gathering, I always b-line for dibbs on the cuccidati. And Cuccidati Inc.'s cuccidati did not disappoint! These were a bit different from cuccidati I've had before. They weren't quite as sweet, not as thick-white of an icing as usual. And the filling seemed more natural, like more purely fig, as opposed to the more artificial extract flavor of some cuccidati. I do like the creamier cuccidati filling I'm used to, with more of a jam consistency. But these were good too, you could feel chewy bits of real fig fruit in each bite. If you prefer a cookie that isn't too rattle-your-teeth-sweet, you will probably enjoy Cuccidati Inc.'s cookies very much. We spoke with the owners when we were at the fresh-air market, and they were very sweet and friendly. They of course bake their namesake, but also bake many other cookies too. The coleslaw is delicious with roasted chopped peanuts on top giving it an extra crunch and nutty flavor. The cornbread was so tasty and not dry, especially when you dip it into the brown butter. The pulled pork has an extra seasoning sprinkled on top that gave it another layer of flavor that complimented the smoked meat well. Both the pork and brisket were moist and tasted even better with the hot bbq and coconut curry sauces. My husband enjoyed the potato salad more than I did only because it had a strong mustard flavor, which is personally not my favorite condiment. That's just my taste buds though! The foldie was a naan bread (I believe) filled with meat and slaw and a curry dipping sauce. Delicious. The banana pudding was very good as well. I'm so glad I have leftovers that I'll be eating shortly!

They have completely non-plastic to go cups which are unique looking and we loved the extra effort they put into sustainability.
