Went on a Friday at 4, there was no line so it only took a few minutes to get the ice cream. I got a single scoop Lemon Sorbet. It was great, very refreshing and exactly what I wanted. I definitely would recommend for a light treat. The person I was with got 2 scoops one of the Cookies and Cream and the Sponge Candy. They liked both and thought it was a good amount. It's Perry's ice cream, but there are some flavors offered here that are not available in grocery store packages or not at other ice cream stands in the area. I had a cone of chocolate-raspberry ice cream. It was a good sized cone and the ice cream was delicious. There are two long metal tables in the parking lot on one side of the building. These are not very comfortable, but certainly better to sit here while eating your cone rather than trying to drive with an ice cream cone, which was very drippy the other day as the temperature was in the 80's. read more

Franceils has been a big favorite of mine since I was little! Fantastic custard and so many options!! I love how they have a revolving custard flavor each week, and personally my favorites are black raspberry, peanut butter, pistachio and coffee. The service is always quick as well! The stand is small and there's only a few tables, so it can definitely fill up quick, but I personally always go sit in my car with whatever item I get. Sadly this place has become super questionable. I literally watched a worker pull down their mask, smear nose juice across their glove, then pull the mask back up. I thought the point of masks and gloves was to prevent the spread of germs? Yuck! When I mentioned it to the girl at the window, she called him over and told him what I said and he got an attitude with me, and kept asking, "so what do you want? Because if you aren't ordering I'm going to ask you to leave." Yep. I am def leaving buddy. Keep your snot and your attitude. I won't be back either. These kids working here either aren't trained properly or they just think they can get away with whatever they want. Btw this place is littered with signs now asking people to take your treats and leave. Guests are NO longer welcome to sit and enjoy their ice cream/custard outside the establishment because of Covid. Worthy of mention, there is a place about 2 miles north in South Buffalo that serves equal to superior custard. Went after a hike and was not disappointed with the custard flavor I got. Note the flavors rotate regularly. Today I had the Banana/Vanilla twist. It tasted kinda like a banana pudding with the wafers in it! This is the best outdoor ice cream stand in WNY. Their house made soft serve is absolutely the creamiest I have ever tasted. They always have 3 varieties, vanilla chocolate & the flavor of the week which include some yummy choices. They also serve Perry's hard ice cream in a variety of flavors. In addition to their awesome cones, they serve banana splits, ice cream floats, sodas and sundaes. All are incredibly delicious! The service is always courteous, friendly and quick. There are usually lines but they are efficient and get everyone served in a timely manner. You must check them out, when nearby. read more

We normally frequent a different ice cream parlor down the street but decided to give Fran-Ceil a try a few times the last couple weeks. My fiancé opted for the black raspberry custard which was one of the best custards we've ever had. I asked if they could do the chocolate covered banana shake with peanut butter added two of the times I went and they were able to accomodate my request. I do wish they would blend the shakes a bit more (they're quite thick with the banana) but otherwise my shakes have been delicious. It does get quiet busy here at night but the line moves quick and they have two ordering windows. read more

Always go here for ice cream. I always have and always will. On top of having such a diverse desert menu, and quality service, the prices are really really affordable. If you'rs a local, you should already know of this place. If you're visiting, this stop is a MUST! They have new social distancing procedures to keep customers and staff safe. Which does limit people from hanging out and eating there like they used to. But its just temporary for this season for everyone's safety right now with COVID. Usually this is THE icecream spot where it will typically be crowded and people from different communities would chat it up and have fun. Went here for the first time in, literally, two decades on a whim. The place doesn't seem to have changed at all since my last visit which I think is great since it's a throw back to a previous era. Parking is plentiful but not nearly enough in normal times when I have been slowed down while driving by cars blocking the road attempting to get in. There were the appropriate measures in place due to the pandemic but as usual there were a few people in line that think that masks were an inconvenience. The store was well staffed and worked like a well oiled machine. There was a choice available of either hand packed or soft serve. I placed my order for the hand packed and within a few minutes I was ready to leave. Imagine my surprise when my 2 cones "to go" came in a bag. Both were securely wrapped like babies in a blanket. The portions were more than generous and securely seated in the cone. I only gave 4 stars because their choice of sugar free offerings was too limited. With the myriad of flavors they had there was only 1 "no sugar added" selection. This restricted what I was able to get for my wife who is on a restricted diet. read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. But 5 out of 5 will work... this place is the best ice cream in town. Whenever I drive from my parents house in south buffalo to my house in Hamburg, I specifically take South Park home so I can stop for Fran-Ceils. It's so delicious, and creamier than any other soft-serve ice cream. It's been a staple for my family for years! I wish I could describe how fantastic it is but it's something you will just have to try for yourself... but be careful, once you have Fran-Ceil's custard, you will never be satisfied with any other ice cream. The servings are large, and the prices are good. They serve the traditional Vanilla, Chocolate and Twist but then every month they offer a different type of custard. My favorites are the Pistachio & the Raspberry. Separate of course, together would be gross. haha But what's really great is they offer twists for these flavors as well so you can get vanilla twisted in. It's ice cream perfection.
