Hot Fudge w/Peanuts covered Ice Cream in a cup

My husband would fall over dead if he couldn't get his monster ice cream. I'm a topping lover. Rich hot fudge sundae and nuts. Good prices, fast service and eat in the car and watch the line of people who have discovered our hidden gem.

Great local ice cream stand with the BEST vanilla custard ever. They close at the end of September for the season

Not much to really say about this place. They had good ice cream and a fair price. This isn't my favorite ice cream in Buffalo but I'm glad we stopped to try something new. I may come back if I was in the area. Staff were really nice so that was a plus.

Super fast service & giant portions!!! Not much seating but there are about 2 benches outside.

Came here twice on my visit to town and it was delicious. We come every time. I came for the flavors of the day. Day one was pistachio and 2nd time I visited it was cherry. I got the twist (vanilla) both times. Family got a mix of sundaes, slushes, and ice cream. We'll see you again...I hope.

Went after a hike and was not disappointed with the custard flavor I got. Note the flavors rotate regularly. Today I had the Banana/Vanilla twist. It tasted kinda like a banana pudding with the wafers in it! Forgot to take a pic of the cone because I drove headfirst into enjoying it and forgot It was the medium ($3.25) which felt just right on a warm day. Ordering at the counter was breeze and the staff were quick and friendly.

I scream, you scream, we all scream because ice cream season is here! I'm a fiend for a soft serve cone. Truly, there's nothing as tasty as ice cream in the sunshine. It wasn't super warm today, but we went for a sweet treat nonetheless! I've been to Fran-Ceil many times before, but somehow have never reviewed it. They deserve all the stars! They have a large menu that features both soft and hard ice cream. They've even got slushees and smoothies, too! This time around, I indulged in something different. Their pineapple dole whip twisted with their Temptation brand vanilla soft serve (oat milk-based, vanilla ice cream). It was so fantastic! The vanilla portion tasted no different than regular dairy ice cream. A fantastic option for vegan pals or those who are lactose intolerant! I don't get to come here too often, but I'd love to add Fran-Ceil into my normal ice cream lineup. I think you should too!

It was cold, a bit gray, and the furthest from a warm sunny summer day that it could get (without there being snow), but we were driving by Fran-Ceil and they'd already opened for the season! We grabbed a pistachio custard, pistachio vanilla custard, chocolate vanilla custard, chocolate shake, and Perry's Super Hero... we dove all in to ice cream season! The custard had a great flavor and generous portions, for sure. Even if we were shivering when the server handed the cones to us! They're always rotating their spotlight flavor, so pay attention to them online and watch when your favorite is being served! Or when you see one you'd like to try. It's always a great way to experience new flavors.

We normally frequent a different ice cream parlor down the street but decided to give Fran-Ceil a try a few times the last couple weeks. My fiancé opted for the black raspberry custard which was one of the best custards we've ever had. I asked if they could do the chocolate covered banana shake with peanut butter added two of the times I went and they were able to accomodate my request. I do wish they would blend the shakes a bit more (they're quite thick with the banana) but otherwise my shakes have been delicious. It does get quiet busy here at night but the line moves quick and they have two ordering windows.

Always go here for ice cream. I always have and always will. On top of having such a diverse desert menu, and quality service, the prices are really really affordable. If you'rs a local, you should already know of this place. If you're visiting, this stop is a MUST! They have new social distancing procedures to keep customers and staff safe. Which does limit people from hanging out and eating there like they used to. But its just temporary for this season for everyone's safety right now with COVID. Usually this is THE icecream spot where it will typically be crowded and people from different communities would chat it up and have fun. But its very kind of them for taking care of their staff as well as the community's health concerns regarding the pandemic.

I came here after work. I noticed on Facebook they had a munchie sundae. It sounded good. It was until I got to the hot fudge on the bottom. There was a hair in it. It was dark. It wasn't mine. My hair was up in a ponytail and I had a hat on. I'm really disappointed. I doubt I'll return here.

After the terrible Bills loss last week I knew I had to find a firm twist to cheer me up. We were in Blasdell watching the game so I had to rely on Yelp to take to a close by and great ice cream shop. I came across Fran-Ceil. It was a chilly day so there was tons of parking open and no line. Our group ordered 3 medium cones which came to about $9. My twist was tasty and firm - which is the best combo for a soft serve. Although I usually go for a twist it's nice to see they have Perry's. It was a cute shop and I'm happy to spend at a local business rather than a chain!

Got the basic, twist cone with chocolate sprinkles. Good, but not the best. Not much seating, close to the road. Good & quick service.

Fran Ceil's is a good place to buy ice cream. Ice cream is delicious. How can you give ice cream anything but 5 stars?

It is clearly a local favorite and you can find couples and whole families out with the kids enjoying there ice cream here. It feels vintage, home grown and very loved.
