Stopped here to overindulge in what may be the largest ice cream concoctions for a not so large price. This little stand has A LOT of options that would fit the ice cream needs of anyone. The 6 of us each ordered something different and no matter what I looked at, it all looked amazing. I personally ordered something called banana berry blast and it was a beautiful mix of vanilla custard, strawberry sauce and bananas topped with whip cream and a cherry. My daughter ordered something that had blue raspberry slushee stuffed with vanilla custard and topped with NERDS. She was delighted with her choice. I can't even remember what else was ordered because the choices seemed endless. They have every ice cream thing you could thing of. I always order a baby vanilla soft serve in a cup with toasted coconut dip! Not a lot of places have toasted coconut dip, but Frostry Treat does!!! The people who work there have been there forever and I believe they own the store. They are very nice and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. If you are in the area and you are looking for ice cream, do not pass this place by! It is always really fun for the kids to look at all the pictures of the different creative sundaes and choose one. This has been a staple in our area forever. Ice cream is good and it won't break the bank even with a specialty item. We can here and line was long however they moved through it fairly quickly. My daughter a ive cream, I believe it was called fish bowl. It had a blue syrup on it, and I ordered the Cookie Monster. This came with a huge cookie on it. Frosty Treat is the best ice cream stand for a reason! They have an amazing selection of sundaes, and they're very accommodating with requests. My personal favorite is the Banana Bucket but I get chocolate soft serve instead of vanilla. Each week they have a new soft serve to try and they create a delicious sundae with it! Love love love this place. I married into Buffalo and one of the best benefits is the food. Frosty Treat is a hidden little gem down in Silver Creek that you should try. It has a real old-style ice cream parlor feel with only window service and a few benches to sit on out front. There are picnic tables and a large grassy area out back to sit and for the kids to run around. Coming from California, the prices here are cheap and the ice cream is first rate. You can get all the standards - cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, flurries, and so on, but the real treat are all the custom sundaes. There are dozens of specialty sundaes like the Cookie Monster, Penguins Paradise and Monkey in a Tree. And each one has its own illustration showing what is in the sundae and an architect's layout of how the sundae is constructed. If I have any complaint it's that the older sundaes are all hand drawn and the newer ones were done on a computer. That's a crappy complaint, I know, but the whole place has such a 1950s feel that you almost don't want to see any piece of modern technology creep in. We've been coming for years and some of the workers/owners have been there since we started coming. It's a great way to end the day, grab some ice cream and then go watch the sun set over Lake Erie. read more
