Favorite ice cream shop in Amherst! The staff is very friendly, there's always great/unique flavors, and the prices are fair.

So glad we did. Such nice, pleasant service; really patient staff and really helpful (reheated our coffee when it cooled and even reset the modem for the wifi when we couldn't connect). The place itself was really nice, loved sitting in the cozy couch area while working. They brought out our order on a little trays which felt very indulgent, I really enjoyed that lol. And that's all before i even got to the food and drink! Really loved my latte, and the honeycomb pastry omg...... so delicious. Heated up and drizzled with honey, maybe one of the best things I've had in a while. We also got a Dubai chocolate cheesecake and a chicken puff pastry thing which were both quite good. Also got a dragonfruit mango refresher which was just okay, and the price was a bit steep but it was a great experience altogether!

BOOZY CUPCAKES. Sounded interesting to me! Pop-up at the Broadway Market, box of 6 for $28. Iirc,…read morethey are $5/ each. They had six flavors: sangria - fruity, wine; honey whiskey - topped with a Biscoff; piña colada - not pictured because I skipped that one; mojito - lime and rum; black forest - chocolate cupcake with boozy cherry; peanut butter whiskey - also a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Presentation and toppings were all really lovely and looked delicious. Super creative concept all around. Most of the cupcakes were yellow or white cake, the rum, whiskey, and wine were noticeable but not strong. So you knew they were there, but not overwhelmed. Some people might actually want them to be stronger! The flavors in general were subtle but clear. The frostings were all pretty light and pleasant, which is nice. I know there's a lot of people who really like dense buttercream and cream cheese frostings and for whom cupcakes are a frosting delivery vehicle. These are not those. Plenty of rich and delicious frosting for the cupcake but not too much. The cupcakes are not following the super sized trend; they're a nice cupcake sized cupcake. This makes it easy to rationalize eating two at a time because, um, you wanted to compare flavors. Yep, that's totally why. I liked all the flavors I tried, but was surprised that my favorite was the chocolate peanut butter and my second favorite was the mojito. Only comments would be there's some variability as to the moistness or dryness of the cake part, and the filled ones could use more filling. The people at the pop-up (I forgot to ask if they were the bakers/ owners) are really nice and happy to answer any questions or customize an order. As you can tell by my substituting an extra black forest for the piña colada. They'll be back at the Broadway Market for Dyngus Day!

Luckily it wasn't busy... couldn't/wouldn't stand in line under the hot sun.. We ordered, go to sit down and relax, opened the umbrella for shade because EVERY table was soaking in bright hot sun in the asphalt area only to be told by the workers to put the umbrella down because it was "too windy ". I checked the weather on my phone and it was 14mph. They expected us to sit baking in the sun eating their ice cream??? Eff that. Changed our order "to go" drove down the street, pulled over under a tree and ate it in the car. That really put a smush on the whole new experience... The ice cream you ask, yeah it was good, but not good enough to go back again. Guess you can only go there when there's no breeze and bake in the sun. No thanks.

The manti stood out more for its comfort than complexity, tender dumplings, yogurt, and a clean garlic-forward profile that felt authentic, even if slightly muted on spice. The ribeye steak medallions were cooked accurately and had good texture, but they were less memorable compared to the rest of the menu. In contrast, the mixed grill platter was the strongest showing of the night, offering variety and consistent execution across different meats, which is not easy to do well. Everything was flavorful without feeling overworked. The mixed meat pide was satisfying and hearty, though on the richer side. It's filling and best approached as a shared dish rather than an add-on. Turkish tea was straightforward and comforting, doing exactly what it should after a heavy meal. Overall, Sofra delivers a traditional, well-executed Turkish dinner with generous portions and a focus on consistency rather than reinvention. Best enjoyed family-style, pacing the meal thoughtfully to fully appreciate the depth of the menu without fatigue.

The taro cheesecake had real (not super sweet either) taro at the bottom which was such a great flavor contrast with the creamy cheesecake. I'm so glad it wasn't sweetened a ton like most commercial taro bakery items/desserts out there. I also loved the softness of the sponge cake with the creamy lava strawberry topping. Both items were a little pricey especially for the area but I'd definitely come back to try more items! They had delicious looking mochi and so many other cakes. I also got a hot jasmine tea latte which tasted pretty similar to the viral Molly Tea. Pretty good but not mind blowing. I'd try a different drink next time. The service is friendly and efficient. A little bit of a wait but nothing too long. There's not a ton of seating inside so you probably need to take your order to go (although dining in is an option) but they do package it super nicely for you!
