We came midweek for lunch, and although initially we were the only patrons, there was soon a steady flow of people. Firstly, the restaurant is a knockout: Huge, elegant glass lanterns and a central chandelier; trefoil-shaped doorways, comfortable booths and tables to seat 20. The pastry cases immediately to the right of the entrance capture the imagination! We split a dolmas plate to start, and although this may seem like an odd thing to mention, the olive oil poured over it was fantastic. It was a rich green, fruity one, and it might have been the best I've ever had. The mixed grill was a variety of marinated meats over a rice pilaf, with bread and salad. We split a single one, and it was just right for two people! Finally, there were slices of cake: Pistachio and chocolate. Both were excellent! We look forward to returning and trying more of their cooking!

If you like Turkish food and who doesn't, you'll love this place I had the Sofra special it's like a Turkish pizza. It was excellent baked to perfection The restaurant is very new, very clean. Tables are well. Spaced staff outstanding explains everything I will definitely go back again But if you're diabetic, please close your eyes. When you walk by the dessert counter everything was so scrumptious . My sugar went up 100 points and I didn't have anything A bakery and a restaurant all in one location outstanding

Tucked in a strip mall, Sofra made for a wonderful dinner with a colleague. I tried one of the Turkish pides- the House Special - and loved it. The dough was very soft and flavorful and I enjoyed the mix of toppings. I also tried one of the deserts, a Pistachio cake that was very good. Sofra is worth a stop for desert alone. The staff was very pleasant and the vibe was very formal with great design touches - especially the cool lighting fixtures.

Growing up in the Middle East, I am very picky about by Middle Eastern food. That being said, we decided to try out Sofra. We tried a variety of kebabs I was familiar with. The variety of kebabs were made well, seasoned well, and not dry. The Pides were just as I remember them tasting when I was a child, so I was fond of them too. The restaurant was clean, large, but it seemed empty. Maybe they need more tables or some type of cozy feel. Either way, my wife and I loved this place and cant wait to come back. Oh, and if you arent familiar with Turkish or Arabic food, Sofra has a pretty awesome website, where they clearly show what each food item looks like, describes it accurately, and their prices are listed too.

Yum! Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Sofra including 1 piece of lahmacun as an appetizer (which was large and could be shared by at least 2 people), and the (vegetarian) mushroom pide, which when I added the crushed red pepper on the table to it, took it from good to amazing! I got three bite size desserts to take home which were also good, but I think next time I'll opt to try to delicious cakes. Service was also great! Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come here again!

First time eating Turkish style food. The place is very large, clean and very warm and inviting. It appears they are doing work to add more tables as well. Our server was super sweet. The food was good. Not sure what I was expecting, I thought maybe overly spiced but it was not. The portion were very generous. The menu is large, I did enjoy on the back page there were chef recommendations. My only thing, I wished the menu had a bit more explanations of the dish, not being Turkish, some of the items were not clear, so I had to spend some time googling. We started the meal with some Turkish tea and Turkish coffee and the baba ganoush and pita which were good. the pita had a flavor I had never had before it was really good. I got the beyti kebab, it was tasty. The meat seasoned nicely with what I now know what wrapped in a tortilla type item. I did not like the yogurt sauce by itself but when I ate it with the kebab it was very good. I was with friends who had the mixed grill, which was very very good and the homemade manti which was a pasta dish. The pasta was so silky and flavorful. The bakery.... AMAZING! There were so many options. We had the baklava which I will say maybe the best I've ever had! I also got a bunch of different type of cookies to take home, and just delicious. The pastry chef here has talent! I definitely need go back with so many other options to try. Also, they have bidet in the bathroom!!

Good service. Food was delicious. Had the doner kebab. The meat came on rice with a side of lettuce tomato onion and purple cabbage. Also came with bread I'm not normally a bread person but this bread was great. They have a large bakery case as well with cookies, cakes, baklava and other items.

Met up with some friends for lunch here this week. It was a little hard to find since Google Maps brought me to the Wegmans on Dick Road and go through the parking lot to the restaurant. First impression when I walked in was how clean the place was. The menu was pretty big with lots of variety. I think it would have been a little more helpful to have the waitress talk about the menu and what other people typically ordered. I enjoyed the kebabs i ordered along with the baba ghanoush appetizer we shared. The other dishes my friends got were just okay. Just not my cup of tea. The dessert case on the way out is a 10 out of 10. I honestly wished I lived closer to try everything in the case! We did try the baklava which was really good. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu First time I have ever been to a Turkish restaurant but willing to check out other items.

I really enjoyed this restaurant for several reasons. The dessert case is delightful! The food is good. The young couple who own it are such hard workers. The restaurant is a large space and it was filled with lots of happy families when we were there. I ordered what is called a Mushroom Pide. It's a thick dough that is filled with a variety of vegetables. It was good, not necessarily mushroom but it was still good. Everyone else order mixed kebab dinners which they all thought were delicious. The menu is extensive so there should be something for everyone. I love a good dessert case and theirs spoke directly to me. I could easily go just for that and every single thing I got from it ( which was a lot) was delicious. I strongly recommend that you get something from that case!!

I have been meaning to check this spot out for awhile since they opened a few months ago. I live nearby so it would be great to add a new spot to my usual selection of places close to home when I don't feel like cooking. I am happy that I finally checked it out! We went over for lunch and it blew away my expectations. First of all, you would never know how big the inside is until you go in. It's HUGE! There are some booths and other tables available with a huge case for their bakery products too. Being new to Turkish food, I was a little lost when I opened the menu. The owner was working and came over to help us navigate what would be good for lunch and explain what some of the menu entailed. We ended up getting some pides. Both of them were huge portions. We ended up splitting some of each which is the best way to try new food. The mixed meat pide was delicious. It reminded me of a pizza or calzone with the meat and cheese on the bread. I would definitely get that again. The desserts were incredible in the case. There were cookies, cakes, puddings, tiramisus, you name it. I opted for the carrot cake which was very good! The cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting in between the layers was phenomenal. RUN, don't walk and try this new spot out. It has everything you could want in a restaurant and if you're new to this kind of cuisine, they will help you find something you will love. I will definitely be back!

No tourist crowds here & no crazy tourist trap prices! While visiting the Niagara Falls area my husband was craving authentic home style Turkish food. Sofra made our last day in the area a happy memorable one with every dish being perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. The Kimali pide, mixed grill, lamb chops, manti, & lamacun were all so delicious we left so stuffed. They also have an extensive bakery & desert selection but we unfortunately could not fit another bite. It all looked so good tho. Service was excellent. The space is airy, spotlessly clean, new & elegant with minimalist decor. There's parking out front and the prices are reasonable. If you want an excellent meal I highly recommend Sofra. You will thoroughly enjoy your dining experience here.

5 food- very tasty authentic Turkish cuisine. Fresh. Flavorful. Presentation is nice. Dessert cases upon entry will delight you! Halal. Grilled meats were seasoned well, the pickles cabbage and onions and rice complemented. Enjoyed the gyro pide. A pizza-like crust filled with gyro in the center. Good appetizer to share. 3-4 service - family run restaurant just starting up. Spread thin with many diners. You must have a little patience and time. The family is working hard. This is their second restaurant. First one still run by other family members in Rochester NY. 4 - ambiance. Family style dinner. Used to be a Chinese restaurant it seems. Chandelier is lovely. Clean and comfortable. Great addition to WNY! Gastronomical and cultural delight!

Went for lunch and though I've had some offerings of Turkish cuisine it was the first time I've tried a Pide. As our server described, it's essentially a Turkish pizza or flatbread. I got the Sofra special Pide, which came with Turkish pastrami, Turkish sausage, ground meat, mushrooms, and topped with Kashar cheese and egg. At first, I wasn't sure how I'd feel with all those different things on it, but it was delicious and tasted just as good for leftovers. It was a good size too, and definitely something that could be shareable. My friend also got one as well that was similar, called the Mix Pide. I also got a drink, which was a canned Apricot juice beverage, which was refreshing. And to wrap things up for dessert, I got the Lotus cake which was essentially a Biscoff's cookies cake! It was a good-sized slice but I forgot to take a picture before I started eating it, lol. Definitely looking forward to returning in the future to try more things off the menu, especially the dessert offerings.

What a cute little Bakery. I arrived at about 11:30am on a Sunday, parked on the street (parking…read morelimited), there were only a couple people in line before me, a few couples sitting down, maybe about eight small tables for optional seating but the place is very small, cozy feel. There were only three cinnamon rolls left... I was going to buy all three but then I overheard the little girl behind me say she wanted one so I only ordered two. Try a cinnamon roll, they're so yummy, cost about $5.75, a 16oz house coffee was $3.75. I ordered the two cinnamon rolls, a piece of a carrot cake (WOW), slice of a pumpkin roll and a large chocolate chip cookie. All equally delicious in their own right! They were packaged to go in a large cake box for me, which I appreciate so nothing got squished during the ride back home. In total I spent $29.50 and didn't feel bad about it, I needed some sugar in my life that was worth eating, I try not to eat carbs anymore as a personal diet preference and I feel amazing but if you're going to eat them, let them be worth every bite so you don't regret it. Anyway, I love this spot. I did attempt to chat it up with the woman taking my order, she was very nice.

Gabrielle's used to be my favorite place in the Village of Lancaster. I supported them constantly…read more They have wonderful gluten free baked goods, as well as great breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free roll, if one so chooses. I will discuss three different run ins with Gabrielle's. First one - I went there in January to grab some sweets for a little crafting party I was hosting. I ordered both gluten free items and non gluten free items. The woman working, who was new, proceeds to ask me if she can put the non gf and the gf in one container. I said absolutely not. How can you not be trained on this, or not know not to do that. Why would I be ordering gf items, if I'm going to agree to put them in the same container. It defeats the purpose. Second time - Valentine's Day. My husband and I had a tradition of going to support Gabrielle's on Valentine's Day because they offered different gf items and a romantic atmosphere. This was our third time attending since living in the village. We arrived right when they opened, and they weren't opened yet, which was fine. When the owner unlocked the door, she wasn't very friendly. I let it slide, and continued to choose to visit Gabrielle's because I loved the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Third time - I stopped in on my way to an event to get a breakfast sandwich. It was about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. It was quite busy there. There were roughly 2 or 3 tables occupied throughout my half hour stay.  Most notably there was a mom and daughter there. I'll get back to that in a minute. When I arrived, I was the only one at the counter. The same girl from the first not great encounter was making coffee behind the counter. That is fine. What wasn't fine, was that she didn't acknowledge me at all and I waited there awkwardly to put my order in for a good 5 minutes. Weird, that you wouldn't say, "Hi, it will just be a minute, as I'm working on another order,"  or something like that. The owner also came out of the kitchen during this time and took several Door Dash orders, but also didn't acknowledge me standing there. All I needed was a Hi, I'll be right with you. Something. I felt like a ghost. Fast forward, woman takes my order. It is for a gluten free breakfast sandwich. I sit down and wait. I wait for a solid half hour for my breakfast sandwich to be complete. During this time, the mother and daughter duo go up to the counter and say that they told the woman when they ordered that they needed to get everything by 9am, and it was 9am, and they still hadn't gotten their sandwiches yet. Why does it take a half hour to make 2 breakfast sandwiches?! They finally get their order and leave. The woman goes from the kitchen to the counter and is yelling to the owner, "If they wanted their food faster, they should have went to Tim Hortons." There was me and about 2 other tables present for that. I thought that statement was absolutely horrific and disgusting. Everyone who came through Gabrielle's and who goes to Gabriele's chooses to spend their money locally. To help a local family and support their business. To say that in front of customers, is abhorrent. I finally got my breakfast sandwich and left. I ruminated this for a while and decided against posting this review and emailing them directly about how this comment was unwarranted and not ok and the employee should be reprimanded. I received no reply back. This happened in February and it is now May. I have not received any acknowledgement regarding that my comment was received. I can only take it as the owner and employees don't care. Thus, I'm posting my review.   Not to mention that they claim to sell fresh bread on Saturdays, and there were a couple customers who arrived asking to purchase the fresh bread, and were told it was still rising and would be ready around 1 pm or so. What?! You would think they would be more in a hurry to get their bread out on a Saturday morning. That is when people want to eat fresh bread. It breaks my heart that I can't support this business anymore because the baked goods are so delicious, but I'm going to support other local businesses that value their customer base and are happy that the customers who walk through their doors want to support local.
