Best lunch & early dinner spot! They have earlier hours, so make sure to check before you head there. Or call ahead for pickup! The food is always on point, whether you're getting a wrap, salad, soup, even the dill dip for your chicken is unique to Natalie's and everything is so delicious. I've only had takeout from Natalie's for lunch during the work week and its always been amazing! The food is fresh and so tasty. I've tried the falafel and the spanakopita lunch combo with a Greek salad - I really love the spanakopita - it's cooked perfectly and I love their Greek salad - they use California black olives and banana peppers instead of the usual Kalamata olives and hot peppers both of which I'm not a fan. The falafel I had was very tasty and was a generous portion. My coworkers have had the chicken wrap and the Greek salad with chicken and the vegetarian wrap - we keep ordering so that speaks to how much we enjoy it. I can't wait to have the Spanakopita again ! Natalie's is still one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Either lunch or dinner, you can dine in or take out. Every time I call ahead for takeout, the food is ready quickly. It's always consistently good too. During my most recent visit for take out today, I got the chicken gyro wrap which was filling and delicious! So incredibly flavorful! My son granted my birthday wish to spend a mom-son day together & asked me where I wanted to go for lunch. I'm not from here & unfamiliar w/all of the eateries in the area, but I knew I wanted Mediterranean food (in particular Tabouli & possibly a good gyro). We've tried a few places w/similar offerings, but wanted to try someplace new. As soon as my son started to see what places in the area served what we were looking for--Natalie's Mediterranean Eatery was the 1st place that came up & it was very highly rated w/amazing reviews! We both looked at their menu & combined w/their ratings & reviews, immediately knew we wanted to try them! OMG chef's kiss!!! We shared a large Tabouli & each of us also got an open gyro salad. The tabouli was perfect for 2 people to share (except it was so delicious we could've happily & easily inhaled our own large tabouli individually)! Not knocking the other places we've had tabouli at, but this was tops! It reminded us of a little neighborhood store that had a deli counter--that had closed years before coming out here--where you could order food--until Natalie's we hadn't found a place that's nearly as good or dare say better! The open gyro salads were also plenty (you could easily split it in half & save half of it for later), but absolutely no complaints & we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We didn't realize or think to ask, that the open gyro salad has feta cheese (which neither of us are fans of), BUT somehow everything mixed together tasted scrumptious & we didn't even notice the feta ! The open gyro salad came w/lots of pita bread, a garlic creamy sauce & a salad dressing (like a Greek salad dressing) everything was so yummy & filling to say the least! The restaurant is very clean & the service was very friendly, attentive & just all around top notch!!! The bathroom's were very clean & obviously kept well maintained--to me, you know if the bathroom is clean, that means they care about their establishment, the quality of the food they serve & their customer's satisfaction & just care!!! No, it's not a "fancy" or pretentious place--instead Natalie's Mediterranean Eatery is a welcoming family run type place (an eatery) that serves up delicious food & awesome service & gives you your $'s worth that you can go to eat some GOOD Mediterranean food, relax, enjoy yourself or the company of whoever you're with & just be comfortable to just have a nice time!!! A case of being letdown by good reviews. When I came in on an off-hour, restaurant was completely empty. There were 2 workers busy prepping a catering order. No one acknowledged me, so I just walked up to the counter when I was ready to order. Mini Wrap Combo w/ Soup was quite small at $12.99. To be fair, the sign did mention "Mini", but it was maybe the thickness of an empty roll of toilet paper and was about 4-6 bites. Soup was also quite small, and it came in a flat-plastic container, same size as a small salsa/hummus from grocery store. A big guy would definitely still be hungry if they ordered this combo! Food was good, but I don't think they'd be losing much money if they made these items a bit bigger. Very little protein in mini wrap. Felt like a shrinkflation situation. Contrary to the many reviews that influenced me coming here, I didn't find the workers all that friendly. My review would've been more favourable if the people were more welcoming. read more

Reviewing this restaurant is making me drool just thinking about it! Natalies is hands down best place to go for cheap, quick, and delicious Mediterranean dishes. I basically love everything on the menu. The last time I was here, I ordered the open Cauliflower wrap. The cauliflower was cooked to perfection and also had a lemony broiled taste to it. The homemade tahini sauce on the side is a perfect addition to the cauliflower. The owners are also super helpful with the menu, and nice enough to bring your plate to you with a smile on the side. In total, I spent about $10 on a meal that filled me up all day and was very tasty. I'll be dreaming of Natalies until I'm able to go back. read more

When I lived in NYC, I always went to Kalustyan's for my shunglish fix. No one else sells it in Manhattan; it's a rare item. Few know what it is and even fewer sell it. I have to admit that I never expected to see shunglish offered at a Buffalo restaurant in a strip plaza that also sells chicken fingers. A little paper sign on the glass display case quietly announces it. That told me all I had to know about the quality of the food here: if you can make shunglish, you know what you're doing so I loaded up on a grocery bag full of take-out items. They were all very good. So, what's shunglish, you say? I won't tell. Go to Natalie's and discover it for yourself. read more

Located halfway between UB North and South, Natalies is a convenient lunch stop for a lot of us. My favorite thing on the menu is the lemon chicken and rice soup. It is delicious- not too lemony! There is usually a daily special, a variety of soups (but obviously get the lemon chicken), and a wide-range of Mediterranean favorites (souvlaki, falafel). You place your order and your order is brought to your table when it's ready. What I dislike: Soup comes in styrofoam. Ugh. The prices are also on the high side (but portions are quite large) and the atmosphere is non-existent. The restaurant is spacious, very clean and has 3 TVs. The employees are nice and they offer a variety of food. The food was delicious! Hubby got the fish fry which is offered all day, everyday. It was yummy, I tried it. The fries that came it with were the best we've had in awhile! They were just basic restaurant fries, but so so yummy! Crispy, but soft and so tasty! Although, a bit too much salt for me. I will ask for unsalted fries if I order my own next time. And yes, there will be a next time! This is one of my favorite spots in the city of Buffalo. Seriously. I've been coming here for years since I first came with my old roommate 6 years ago when I was in college. Now that I've gotten my partner hooked, I plan on coming a lot more frequently than I have recently. The food, no matter what I've gotten, has been nothing short of delicious. I've had tons of things on this menu, and everything is fresh and flavorful. A few of my favorites include the grape leaves, homemade hummus, and the CHICKEN GYRO WRAP. Seriously. The dill sauce is to die for with lettuce, tomato, and tender chicken in the softest pita wrap you can imagine. The grape leaves are the best I've ever had. The hummus is so fresh and comes with pita slices. All of these delicacies are served with smiles and friendliness from the family that owns the place. I usually order the chicken gyro wrap with cream of broccoli soup. The wrap itself is very flavorful, but the combination with the soup makes the meal so much more savory! Natalie's Mediterranean is a locally owned Middle Eastern restaurant. The family is Lebanese and makes fantastic homemade food. I've been to Natalie's several times and have tried a variety of their dishes, including the shawarma and gyros. Recently, the owner specially made these samosas, which were really good. The owners of Natalie's are really nice and are great hosts. Really, they're lovely people and the owner enjoys to talk to his customers. In regards the food, it's great for lunches. You receive your food fairly quickly. It's pretty cheap- most lunches are around $8-$9. It's a good deal, especially when you just want something quick. For UB students, I would recommend this over going to Rachel's. Why I didn't give 5/5 stars....I have a difficult time giving restaurants like this the full stars simply because I know that it's Americanized. I know that you can find better food in Lebanon and other Middle Eastern countries...and of course, even in Rochester and Toronto, but these are all drives and airplanes away. For Buffalo, this is the best fast food Middle Eastern food. It's not the best overall Middle Eastern food, but it's good quality, cheap, and filling. Overall, Natalie's a nice place for a quick bite to eat. I recommend it if you're looking for something cheap, filling, and close to UB. Generally, everyone likes this place so it's a good place to meet your friends for lunch. read more

Ahh, yes Natalie's - a small cafe located at Grover Cleveland Plaza right before Eggert Rd (if you're going South on Millersport). It's cozy, family owned, and full of delicious goodies. The owners are friendly and almost always there. This place is a vegan's paradise. It usually has at least a few vegan soups and four different veggie burger options (and veggie wraps as well). The soups are made fresh every morning and they make some soups (such as the lentil) a little different each time. Sometimes it tastes very lemony and other times there are noodles floating around. It's nice to get that variety. The turkey gumbo soup is also excellent, but my favorite is probably the sweet potato chowder (and this soup has won them some awards) and that has always been pretty consistent in taste. The cafe is small and the decor isn't anything special. It's a simple, family-run operation that has developed quite a great reputation among vegans and the locals, so I'm sure they are doing quite well. My few quips with the place is, for one - there is no wifi. Also, they recently raised the price of their fish fry (which is quite huge and quite crispy, but the tartar sauce is not homemade -- so why the extra $1, huh?). The decor inside could be touched up a little, although it works in its simplicity. If you're a vegan, this place will be a haven for you. If you're not, you can still enjoy their delicious food and feel good bringing your friends here knowing they will not be disappointed. read more

It's been years since I thought about Natalie's, but we ordered from here for a work lunch, and it hasn't left my mind! Just FYI, they do not deliver, but the trip is worth it for sure! We ordered 3 Falafel Wraps, 3 Chicken Gyro Wraps, and a quart of Hummus, for 10-12 people. The wraps are large, so they split nicely between our mix of veggies and meat eaters. The falafel was delicious. The pita nice and soft and fresh. I even enjoyed the pickles which I thought may have added an odd flavor, but it was well balanced and tasty. The hummus was awesome! A little on the salty side, but again so fresh with a nice texture. The real star for me was the chicken gyro though, mostly because of the amazing dill yogurt sauce, and the perfect soft, fresh feta cheese. I'd like to add the dill sauce to everything savory I eat. I love tzatziki anyway, but Natalie's sauce is a level up from anything I've ever had before. The minute I finished the gyro wrap (which BTW, would probably be amazing made with falafel!), I just had to write a review on Yelp. It was THAT inspirational! I had a lentil and dumpling soup that was hot filling and had a warming feeling just eating it,and for me to say this about a soup with no meat in it is saying something. The place is nicely decor for a sit down deli and is located in a quite area of Amherst on miller port hwy between Sheridan and eggert. Lost one star due to the lack of friendly service... This was ok, but a bit, well, unusual. Schwarma, Perfectly done, is a wonderful wrap. But stuffed with French fries as a filler, not so much. And pickles? Now that was unusual. Having had the wondrous wrap at several places in town, including a food truck, a couple of take out places on Hertel, and a couple of middle eastern restaurants, I can say I have never had French fries, or pickles inside a Schwarma. The chicken Schwarma had a garlic mayo instead of tahini sauce, which was ok, but was certainly better when I got a tahini on the side and added it in. The others in the party thought the beef Schwarma and gyros had no middle eastern seasoning to them. I have to say I didn't notice because, well, there were French fries INSIDE the wrap. read more
