We parked on the street behind the restaurant before noticing the blue sign indicating they had a lot behind the building. No matter. Just be aware. You walk in and immediately smell breakfast cooking. We were seated at a booth and ordered a couple cups of coffee. The menu is pretty extensive. She got eggs benedict with toast and hashbrowns. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast special. It's Thursday morning so not a people in the restaurant. The food is out pretty quick. Coffee gets refilled without having to ask. Eggs are done right, steak is cooked medium, potatoes are a little crispy. Her eggs benedict came out just right, potatoes the same as mine. Plenty of food to fuel up in the morning. We ate and talked for a while. Waitress checked in regular to see if we needed anything. Food is gone, coffee is getting finished. Definitely a breakfast (and lunch) place to check out. The homemade dip with warm pita were amazing. So fresh and delicious, could have just eaten 2 plates of this. Husband and I shared the dip and a gyro. It was the perfect amount of food. The gyro meat was very tender and thinly sliced. Overall very good food. The service was quick and server was very attentive. We told our server we were visiting and she gave us tons of recommendations of things to do and see in the city. Incredibly friendly and welcoming to a city you can tell she loved. I'm updating my review: this may be an off day but I've been coming pretty regularly- the steak and eggs was delivered cold and horrible. My husband had corn beef, hash, and eggs with hollandaise and it was disgusting. The potatoes obviously were from yesterday so what a disappointment and we won't be coming here -so they lose our business. And the waitress who's pushing 80 and trying to looking like she's 20 needs help serving. read more

It's Saturday morning, and I'm slacking on my mommy duties because I forgot to buy fruit for breakfast. Welp, that means we better go to brunch !! Today our choice was Mythos!! Located on the Elmwood Strip near Bryant St., this greek restaurant is definitely one of the staples in the neighborhood. Personally, I love brunch at a Greek restaurant. It is just icing on the cake!! One thing that I like about Mythos is that though it usually tends to get a bit busy, I'm always able to be seated, and the servers are always polite and give great service. When I come to Mythos, I come for one thing and one thing only .....the Soulvaki, but since it's brunch, I got the Soulvaki breakfast. To specify, I got the Chicken Soulvaki because I'm a chicken kinda girl ! The Soulvaki breakfast comes with eggs, hash browns, and toast. My food came out quickly, and the portion size was massive!! The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4 instead of a 5 is because the chicken was lukewarm and not hot like the rest of my food. This is the first time it has happened, so please don't hold anything against this wonderful restaurant. I paired my food with a had due, so don't judge me they were that good and only $ 5.99!! They also had a really nice list of brunch drinks, including strawberry spritz. I didn't try it, but I imagine it's great!! I can't forget my toddler's review of his food. My lil guy chose Orange juice for his drink and the kids' breakfast that came with meat, eggs, hash browns, and toast. He chose the sausage patty for meat and added cheese to his eggs and, of course, added a side of fruit !! After his first few bites, he reported his food, and I quote, " Yummy in my tummy, more please !!" So there you have it. Mythos is toddler, and mommy approved !! Cute and homey local diner in a prime spot on Elmwood. I stopped in not too long ago for the first time to meet a friend for breakfast. They have the standard what you would expect breakfast. Prices are reasonable. I am giving 5 stars for the service. I have a lot of food allergies and our server was so kind, patient and understanding to my situation. My go tos are the hummus app, chicken souvlaki salad and avgolemono soup. They don't skimp on the salad ingredients like I've another places do..tomato, cucumber, green pepper, onion, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, feta. Our waitress Laura looked unkempt, smelled of cigarettes, didn't give us time to look at the menu and she came back once wanting to take our plates after 10 minutes of eating. We have never felt this rushed or ignored by a waitress before. Amy who busses tables every Sunday is very pleasant, attentive, helpful and has impeccable timing that never makes you feel rushed. She ALWAYS goes the extra mile to help customers and the wait staff. I went here for dinner and had a very good experience. We were able to be sat immediately and ordered the meatloaf and steak and eggs. The was served very quickly, the portion sizes were huge and were beautifully presented. The waitress was very attentive, checking in every now and again, offering drink refills and dessert. Stopped in for an early dinner Friday night before going to a concert at Shea's. Saw very good reviews online and was excited to try it out! Got there early (4 :15 pm) and only a few patrons there. Obviously beat the dinner rush! We were greeted by a gentleman at the door immediately and our host took us to our table and answered any questions about the menu we had. A huge selection of Greek food as well as steaks and other American fare. I noticed on the back of the menu they had a big breakfast offering as well. I got the gyro plate and my wife got the chicken souvlaki/steak plate. The portion size was incredible! It was like two dinners in one! The price for the food was extremely reasonable as well. Went to Mythos today, Sunday around noon. Place was packed and we were lucky to get a table immediately. Larger groups had to wait. I ordered the jambalaya and it was great. Our waitress was outstanding. She was friendly, helpful, kept the coffee cup filled and was there when we needed her. My only complaint was the noise level. It was tolerable and we didn't need to yell to be heard. However, it is hard to expect quiet when the place was completely filled. I recommend this restaurant if you want a good meal and great service. Looked like it was good for families. Very good value for the money. Mythos is a place that I've driven by pretty much every day for the last 2 years and not once did I ever think to come here, until Wednesday! Buffalo restaurant week has my girlfriend looking through the options and when she stumbled across the food here, both her and I were both sold! The place was pretty dead when we went to dinner around 6PM (lucky for us) and the staff helping us out were extremely friendly. I absolutely had to go with the Filet Mignon as I have been craving steak, that was served with some mashed potatoes and for an appetizer I went with the fried macaroni and cheese ball (they left me no other option, I swear) Garlic Mashed potatoes: WHATS GOOD? These potatoes are. A little chunky, with just the right amount of gravy made these a big hit with my mouth. Macaroni and Cheese Ball: this thing was fantastic! The breaded was tasty, the cheese macaroni was tasty, and the presentation gets an A+ Filet Mignon: This was a good piece of meat. I asked for a rare steak and that's exactly why they served me. On top of the meat itself being great, the peppercorn sauce on top was my cherry. Overall, I had a great experience at Mythos and will absolutely be giving this place another shot in the future. Order delivery today and it was well worth the price ! Beef Slovaki wrap was huge , fresh veggies, and the beef itself was tender, flavorful, and not in the least bit overcooked.
