Amazing food and I have never had a bad experience. I get the Buffalo Chicken Melt and love it every time. The pita is crispy and everything is amazing. Their fries never miss! They are so crunchy and I was told it's because they fry them twice to get that crisp. read more

Stopped here for lunch to start my road trip to Maryland and man am I happy I did! My gyro wrap was stuffed with meat and my wife had tons of chicken on her salad. Tzatsiki (sp?) is garlic heavy but not off-putting. We live closer to the Clarence location at the foot of Gunnville Rd, so we will be checking that place soon! Well we stopped in Nana's and were created very kindly by Mark! He was very good at taking care of us! My wife had a chicken solvaki, I had the chicken sandwich on a pita and our 8 year old ate off the kids menu having fries and chicken nuggets! Plenty of food came out of the kitchen and Mo did a great job with presentation and flavors! Everything was outstanding! We used a card to pay but couldn't leave a tip because we didn't have cash so next time Mark we owe you! We had a nice time with plenty of leftovers! Great afternoon! Food was outstanding! Prices on the board are not what you get charged. Small piece of paper on cash register states with supply issues the prices are subject to change. I have never seen this anywhere. It should say we are too lazy to change our prices and we wil charge you whatever we want when you come in and order. read more

I stopped here today with a new friend. We're at a two-week training near here. This is a small Greek restaurant near a McDonald's, in the Tops plaza, on Broadway in Alden. I had the closed chicken souvlaki. It was in a hard pita that was mostly closed. I noticed that I could pay extra for fries and a drink. I paid an extra $1.49 on top of that for Greek fries. It came with a pop from a cooler. My friend enjoyed his food too. We ate our food inside. They have a few tables inside. My chair was sticky. The staff were very busy but friendly. (They were busy with other people's online orders.) Our food was done in 15 minutes. Their hours are 11am-9pm. Come check out this awesome Greek restaurant. You won't regret it. read more

Yes they keep the Nana real good for your eating! It will be a very sad day when this mall goes under, which it looks like it's going to do, and it is a very sad day to hear that my beloved pizza place inside this mall is long gone. Now as for Nana's - I've eaten 2 or 3 Chicken Souvlaki Pita Pockets from here, and dozens from the same place in the Eastern Hills Mall, and honestly they are pretty damn amazing. Went to the Nana's on Main Street in Clarence. Service was good. You order at the counter and they bring the food out pretty quick. The wraps we got were fresh, warm, and very tasty. It's a very laid back place and they have reasonable prices. read more

I received a menu for this restaurant in the Clarence Bee and decided to stop in while on an afternoon walk. I can only write about the new location on Main St in Clarence at the end of Gunnville Rd. The first Gyro Wrap I ever had was in Boston Mass., so I ordered this to eat in. It was ready quickly, faster than I would expect. This was better than I remembered from years ago. I plan to stop there again, especially since the hours are more reasonable than the previous occupant of the same location. While there, landscapers and contractors stopped in to get for eat in and take out. Having worked in landscaping in the past, we only stopped for lunch at the places with the best value. I was happy enough with Nana's, which I ate while waiting for my car to get done at the nearby Subaru dealership (which helpfully has a drop-off and pickup service that lets you go to the mall). Given the ardor that it has inspired in other reviewers, though, I'm clearly missing something. I ordered the vegetarian sampler with falafel, tabouli, hummus, dolmas, and salad. I was given a single falafel, a tiny iceberg lettuce salad, and, in fairness, pretty good hummus, dolmas, and tabouli, with two pita pockets to fill. I mean, sure, it was only like $11, but the portion struck me as kinda chintzy and the salad added little to the meal. It's served with something like tzatziki, but there's a hot sauce behind the counter that you can request if you want to spice things up a bit. In any case, the clerk (probably an owner) was very nice and the meal was probably one of the better lunches one might get in this particular food court, but the joy Nana's has given fellow Yelpers (maybe it's a meat thing?) was not quite my experience. read more

It's a tiny food booth in a dying mall. All of the food booths here turn over quickly except for Nana's because it's THAT GOOD. My husband and I will come to the mall just to get their chicken souvlaki. The feta cheese they use is tiny curd so you get the flavor in every bite. It comes with Greek dressing (not sure if they have tzatiki) and it's the perfect combination of tang with the rest of the salad. I also love that they cut up the chicken for you so I don't have to take the time to do it myself, I can just EAT. read more

After loads of hype over Nana's from other local business employees we headed over to sink our teeth into some Greek pita pocket sandwiches, rich bowls, baklava & rice pudding. Nana's is easy to find in plaza located next to a Tops and behind a Mc Donald's in the village of Alden. They offer dine in or take out and offer a simple menu and comparable prices. We walked into Nana's and were greeted with a friendly and professional women who helped us navigate through the menu, make suggestions and allowed us to customize rice bowls as I'm not a huge meat/chicken lover like the rest of my family. I was asked if I wanted the onions on rice bowls grilled or raw, which was considerate, so make sure you ask ahead of time if your on a particular diet how good is prepared. We got a chicken Greek souvlaki in a pita which the husband loved. The peculiar items were in our rice bowls. I opened the 2 bowls we ordered to make sure I gave my daughter hers, and I saw a pea & corn hanging out in to go container, so I took it out before I gave her. As I was eating my bowl I thought to myself why is there carrots, corn and peas in my Greek rice! Then as I kept eating I found a green bean & Lima bean! What in the world was I eating! I was wondering why a bag of mixed frozen veggies or canned veggies were added to the rice. It's still a mystery and as I was wondering my daughter stated, why is there pieces of corn & carrots in my rice. Not sure I'd order the rice bowl again. I'd try something different when I go back. Baklava is around $1.25 for a triangle shaped piece and it was delicious. Rice pudding was plain, and not anything like The Towne restaurant downtown Buffalo like I grew up on. I was expecting swirls of cinnamon and maybe golden raisins here & there. It was flat, but I guess I shouldn't compared, since I ate it all. I will definitely go back and give it another try! They do have really good feta cheese. Just be prepared for loads of garlic in the tzatiki sauce. And if you like chicken, the closed souvlaki is recommended. read more

Just to clarify, Nana's is no longer located in The McKinely Mall. They have relocated to Broadway in Alden, NY. This location is what I am reviewing. The food is exceptional. Twice now, my daughter has brought some home. I had the veggie souvlaki and hubby had the beef. Dinners came with rice and Greek spuds. Not collectively. Each dinner came with one choice. Nicely put together. The tzatziki had a bit of heat to it - not sure what gave it the heat however very tasty. Not crazy about the fact that they did not offer baklava as a dessert. Whatever. Still complaining about taboulie - again, mostly greens and no cracked wheat. I am going to have to make my own. Very reasonable. $51.00 for four dinners with sides. read more

I was craving a pita wrap and Nana's was one of the only Greek places around me that was open. I was hesitant because the location was in the mall. I went in and was greated by very friendly staff that were helpful with the ordering process. The thing that was very nice to see was that everything was made to order. As soon as I placed my order I saw the cooks put the meat on the flattop. I got a beef pita wrap and side of Greek fries. The beef was nicly marinated and the pita wasn't overly soaked in dressing. The fries were crisp and had plenty of feta, the only thing I would have like to see was the Greek dressing on top of the fries. Other than that everything was spot on.
