The host quickly sat me at a small table. 2) Waitress was very friendly, very attentive, and helpful. 3) Lemon Chicken soup was just right. Delicious. My Lamb-chop salad was good. The lamb chops were ordered medium. Some came out medium while others came out well done. Overall, they were seasons nicely and tasted good. The salad was fresh and tasted good as well. Order delivery today and it was well worth the price ! Beef Slovaki wrap was huge , fresh veggies, and the beef itself was tender, flavorful, and not in the least bit overcooked. It was a bit sloppy due to being stuck in the to-go container to be delivered , but honestly was not a big issue - I just drained each 1/2 over the sink a teeny bit and it was ready to go, fries were not soggy at all despite being boxed for delivery which was a fantastic surprise. Contained fries are hard to keep from going limp . Hummus and grilled pita was just what I'd hoped for. Pita was the right mix or crunchy yet chewy. Our group came here after a long day of shopping in Buffalo. This was close to our Airbnb and seemed like a good place. When we entered the restaurant was not very busy on a Saturday. It was about 8 o clock so maybe the dinner rush was over? My girlfriend and I split the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner.  The service was great. Our server was recommending places to go out at night. I guess it was the end of her shift and she wanted to provide some places for our night out after. It was very relaxed, and she even sat down and chatted with us.  Our Souvlaki dinner was huge, and we were glad we shared the meal. It was cut up chicken breast and properly seasoned. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. The rice was excellent as well. It also came with Pita and a Greek Salad. Our friends also enjoyed their meals, and everyone agreed the portions were big.  Mythos was defiantly the foodie highlight of our road trip. I have been here several times. I live very close. I met there yesterday with my attorney (retired judge) for lunch. He is also usually loves this place. Our server was hostile from the beginning. We started talking as soon as I sat down. When the server came over I hadn't decided. She got an attitude. I ask the Judge to order he did while I made a selection and asked 2 questions. I asked if they had lemon wedges compared to slices for the water and if I could get the gyro meet as a side for my omelette. After bringing our food, she never came back. The Judge attempted to get her attention when she was at the table next to us. She ignored him. He wanted a refresher on his coffee. He asked the busboy who did bring him coffee. When she brought the check, she didn't seem happy. When we paid at checkout, she came over and the hostility continued, the judge asked if there is a problem she said that her grandmother was in the hospital. As a physician, I was initially concerned about her grandmother. Then she called us Aholes. The manager was called and the situation was explained to him and he was not helpful at all. This is a frequent breakfast spot for my family and it can be a hit or miss depending on whether you go during the weekday or weekend. And it's so frequent that we order the same exact thing almost 99% of the time: 2 orders of: 2 eggs, home fries, toast (and sometimes choice of meat depending on the mood), and a belgium waffle. And here's where the hit/miss is - the home fries are nice and crispy but I find that to be only on the weekdays. For some reason it's never crispy on weekends (different cook? Not sure...) and about the toast. Some visits the bread is toasted and some it's just slapped with some melted butter. Thank goodness the waffle is always hot and crispy, that's one constant order I don't have to critic. - We like the ambience - it's always clean, huge Greek paintings throughout the walls, booths or tables, and there's also patio seating for the warmer weather. - Service is great and friendly (as long as it's not jammed pack with only two people). Still one of our spots for a simple breakfast, and stars will go up when the consistency improves on my fries and toast. read more

Sunday morning came back to this warm family restaurant. It's packed however the food was dispatched with speed. I tried the classic eggs benedict. Two eggs on Canadian bacon(ham) on English muffins smothered in a velvety hollandaise sauce and a side of real hash browns. The whole breakfast was excellent the only problem I encountered was eating it much too fast. I really like it here employees are friendly as well as helpful. One of my favorite places for breakfast. I have my own thot. She's perfect. There should be a restaurant named after her, called "MYTHOT." Unfortunately this is not that restaurant. There are lots of great OS's out there (operating services) in the tech industry. I'm not going to go into them because there are just that many. But the infamous and much-lauded "LPOS" (Large Penis Operating System), and trust me when I say this... *does not exist*. There is no such thing. It was a made up joke, an April Fool's, I have no idea, but its existence is a myth. Trust me on that. In fact I am lobbying to have its official name on Wiki (LPOS), changed to "MYTHOS" because the OS is a myth. This restaurant agrees with my campaign and has changed its name to Mythos accordingly. Thank you so much! This is one of the best Greek restaurants in town. It's close to Acropolis but, in order, I like (1) Mythos, (2) licking the dirty pavement, and (3) Acropolis. Exaggeration, but the former is that good and the latter is that bad. Both of them (as well as Panos, completing the Elmwood Village Trifecta) are horrendously overpriced. But one of them actually has wonderful Greek food and the other two do not. The only one of the three with good food is Mythos. I ordered the Open Chicken Souvlaki, which usually comes to somewhere between 7 and 10 depending on where you order. Here it's more like 11, and Acropolis is more like 12, while Towne and Pano's are more like 13, but Towne is a big portion, and worth it, while Panos is awful, and Acropolis is both awful and tiny. Mythos on the other hand tastes excellent. They give you a decent portion of fresh salad and a decent portion of delicious, tender, juicy souvlaki. It's not the best souvlaki in town, but it's very yummy and easily good enough to score 5. It's typical Buffalonian Souvlaki, one of the best cities ever for Greek Diner food, and this is a good example of that. The salad is a good Greek Salad, I wish it were even larger. The pieces of chicken were small but there were plenty of them and I loved every bite. The service also was excellent. They served me close to closing time, and the girl on the phone, who also rung up my order, was adorable and very friendly, so much so that I gave her a tip for pick up which I usually don't do. Now I'd recommend probably 10 other places for Souvlaki before this, starting with Nick's on Amherst, Taki's, Family Tree, Wehrle, Alton's, Towne... but if you're on the Elmwood Strip and you want some Souvlaki, and you're considering Pano's (ew) or Acropolis (ew ew) you must skip them, and forget they exist, and come here instead and give it a try. And remember to avoid the Large Penis Operating System, that OS is a myth. Take my word for it. It's a Myth OS. read more

I've been going to Mythos for years now, I've grown used to the menu and generally stick to my favorite breakfast item. While recently dining in I've noticed that it appears they are attempting to step up their game per say? The menus have been reprinted and since the "brunch specials" never change an insert has been created. The use of square plates is also in effect which ridiculously makes the tables smaller if you are dining with a party of 4. Nothing has changed in regards to my favorite plate, the Hash and Holley. Thid breakfast item startes as a bed of corn beef hash (canned) for which two poached eggs are laid upon (the level of perfection varies i.e. over/under poached) which a velvety hollandaise sauce is slathered on. This served with home fries and choice is toast to me is no better way to start a weekend morning. As the years go by and i assume cooks move on the quality of this dish will vary, greasy hash, over poached eggs, etc. I generally find the hash browns flavorless but being that they are real potatoes and not shredded a little ketchup or hot sauce will dress them up. Lately the biggest problem i have experienced is the attitude and demeanor of the hostess. My friend and I wanted to grab an early breakfast in town - by early, I mean like 7AM! Mythos was open for business! I've been meaning to stop by since moving to Allentown. The place was full of empty tables and booths so we were able to pick our seats and get right to ordering. There's a decent-sized breakfast menu ranging from omelettes to pancakes. There are alcoholic drinks after 8AM on Saturdays - I stuck with water. I ordered the asparagus omelette and it was absolutely delicious! A perfect sized portion with hash browns that were cooked just right. My friend ordered an outrageously delicious-looking apple waffle and he downed it! We were both satisfied, to say the least. On another note, the waitress opened us with open arms as soon as we walked in the door and made us feel at home. She took great care of us. The pricing is completely appropriate too. I've never had a Gyro I didn't like, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I think it's odd that it's 3 slabs of meat instead of having the meat cut up. I tried eating it as it came and it was just really odd, so I cut the meat up into small pieces myself and everything just got messy. The Gyro itself just didn't taste good and the tzatziki sauce was a miss. I could only stomach to eat half of this and then I threw the rest away. What a waste. Hands down one of the best lamb shank dinner I have had thus far in Buffalo. It was my boyfriend's birthday and we both wanted to try this place out. Not too far from my apartment and I quite enjoy myself a good Greek food, I feel they have similarities to Ghanaian dishes (my country for birth). I love the ambiance of the restaurant, the decor was pretty nice as well. We got seated right away by the window which I enjoyed, always fun to people watch on Elmwood. We ordered crab cakes as starters and it was good, wish it had a little bit more crab and crunch to it, but the sauce they served along side it was delicious. I ordered the lamb shank with a side of rice pilof. I love rice pilof and I was in love with the one that was served to me, so flavourful and well seasoned. I've lived near Mythos for almost a year and a half now, but didn't get around to trying it until this weekend. The ambiance was pleasant, and there were a number of other diners there early on Saturday morning, who contributed to the warm atmosphere. (My husband has a new Life Goal: having an Old Man Breakfast Squad, like the ones we saw at Mythos.) Our waitress was friendly. I thought my home fries were bland, even though I saw that the restaurant has an award behind the register for its home fries. But my veggies' lovers omelette and toast were solid. I would have preferred if the onion in the omelette had been cut up smaller, but, let's not split hairs here. My husband doesn't really like eggs or French toast, so bonus points go to Mythos for letting him order a gyro wrap and fries at eight in the morning and not giving him a hard time about it. My fiancé and I recently visited Mythos for brunch. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. I always like when a restaurant is bright and lit well. It was a busy Saturday morning so we expected there to be a bit of a wait but our waitress came right over. Our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and was hot and fresh. Our server kept our drinks full which I appreciated especially since it was so busy. He got the steak and eggs and I had this big delicious Belgian waffle covered with berries and whipped cream. Came here with the hubby for a breakfast bite on our way home from an overnight hotel stay. Was greeted when we walked in by the friendly hostess. Things went downhill from there...FAST! We ordered our food. I ordered an omelette with a side of bacon and my husband ordered the mythos burrito. The service was BEYOND slow and it wasn't even busy!!!! My husbands order came out. Only my omelette came out and she said there was a wait for the toast...ummm...excuse me! The toast is the quickest part! My bacon was not even out either...wth! By the time my toast came out I had already eaten my omelette...that's how long it took for her to bring me the toast! And...my bacon was still not out. When I reminded her about my bacon it took another 10 minutes before it came out. When it came, it was beyond greasy and just ugh... The service here was horrible and I WILL NOT be coming back again. Mythos offers some pretty mediocre Greek food but some A+ diner food. I go here purely out of convenience since I live around the block. I come here specifically when I am feeling breakfast takeout for dinner. While I can speak for the breakfast dishes, I really cannot offer an opinion on their other stuff. I have had the eggs benedict--good-- done well with no twist. The corn beef hash with eggs is also really pretty good for what it is. I will say, I my all time favorite is the souvlaki breakfast with grilled greek chicken. This is what I either order in or out when I am feeling breakfast for dinner or need a quick bite. The portion is huge! this dish is straight forward with nothing special. With that said, it does everything well. I always choose the grilled chicken and my eggs done over easy with an english muffin. The dish never lacks consistency and always delivers. It also comes with a side of tzatziki which is pretty nice. I would probably make my tzatziki a bit different but hey, it tastes great. Would I tell someone about Mythos when asked about Buffalo restaurants? No. Would I bring my family here? No. Is this a place I rave about? No. Does this place serve some on-point diner comfort food? Yes. Every time, with consistency and great service. All of the servers make you feel right at home. I often see people here just chilling for work or school with a few others eating and working on something. One major plus, Mythos goes all out for the holiday season. Something of a gyro fanatic, make my own from scratch with lamb when I have time. Was delighted to discover this greek restaurant near my apartment. I've gotten food there a half dozen times now. That said, the gyro itself is pretty mediocre. Three to four slabs of completely uniform gyro meat, which make me think mass produced. Two slices of tomato, not diced. Buried in tzatziki. Pricey. 13.50 for a gyro and side. 2 bucks more if you want the healthy salad and not potatoes. Salad is heavy on lettuce, light on olives and pepperonccini, like two olives one pepper. Given the high price, I really expect more. Got a gyro at an middle eastern shop in MI today for 7 bucks that blew Mythos away. Feels like they're phoning it in. read more

Lots of Benedict options, their corned beef hash is that canned stuff (which is my favorite), and they actually burn the crap out of your potatoes when you ask.
