What a gem. My fiance and I went here during the coming blackout, we paid in cash, and we're also celebrating our 99 days until we get married. We shared hummus, and a cucumber yogurt dip. Phil said the pita was great. The hummus ans cucumber dip was delicious. I ordered the falafel salad and that was amazing. Phil got the mujadara plate and he really enjoyed it as well. The owner came out and she was friendly and our server was awesome. Can't wait to try more items. read more

Recently came for a late lunch and everything was wonderful. Much more seating compared to her last location, with a mix of bar, booth, and table seating. We were greeted right away by friendly Amira, and our food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time too. I ordered Amiras tea to start and a water to enjoy with chicken shawarma. Both were excellent! I also am obsessed with Manakeesh so I ordered a mix plate of it knowing I would take most of it home (and that's fine, it's great the next day too). Service was phenomenal as she came back frequently to check on us and give us our bill. FYI, there is a "3% admin fee" which I believe is when you pay with a card. Food is five stars. Absolutely wonderful. Service tonight is like one star maybe two stars but you know what I think it was a new server and language was a real problem so I didn't want to jeopardize the places reviews because of what might have been a bad night The only time I've been there. Based on the food it's absolutely five stars I had lamb chops which were done perfectly The hummus and the baba ghanoush and the falafels were just perfect. Delicious, flavorful food! My wife and I found this place, with great ratings, on yelp, and decided to visit. We met Amira, a very sweet, friendly woman. We started with hot tea and Sambosa as an appetizer. We also ordered Amira's Mixed Grill, which included lamb, beef, and chicken over a bed of rice. Also included was Arabian salata. The food was amazing! Also of note, was the cleanliness of the restaurant ... Amira's pride regarding her restaurant is obvious - She told us about a remodeling project, but honestly, the place looks great, but I have to admire her for the improvements she is doing. I had a chance to check out this place when I ordered it from them for a event at work. It was such a pleasant experience working with them. Amira was kind flexible and helped me determine a suitable menu for more than 200 participants. They came highly recommended and according to the students they did not disappoint. I really appreciate that. This is an authentic Palestinian own place with quality food. They were pretty affordable and offered delivery service. She had a business on Tonawanda St near Black Rock for 43 years before moving into the current restaurant location at Cayuga & Cleveland Dr. I ordered the Vegetarian Combo appetizer, with hummus, tabouli, baba gannouj, falafel, and Dawali and the Lamb Kabob roll, with a little spice. I enjoyed a nice lunch with Amira's Kitchen. I am so glad I visited. They promote "All are welcome," and I felt welcome from the moment I entered. I enjoyed their 1/2 chicken w/ 2 sides and was not disappointed. The chicken was a good sized bird and flavorful with the juice locked in. The skin had a nice char that was very enjoyable. For my two sides I added the tabouli and Arabian Salata. I absolutely loved the tabouli. OMG the Parsley did not dominate the dish. It was a nice balance and very enjoyable. The Salata was very good, but wish I'd tried their rice instead. Between the two I def would go with the tabouli. The portions were reasonable for $23. I added a Sprite for $2. As a Middle East-born and raised Shawarma enthusiast, I had to stop by to check out this place. As an appetizer, we ordered 5 sambusas for $11. We then ordered a beef kefta plate and a chicken shawarma. Amira was extremely friendly and stopped by the table. She stated that the rotisserie chicken was one of the most popular items. As a shawarma enthusiast, mostly as this was my snack of choice for the first 18 years of my life, I chose the "chicken shawarma wrap" for $13. The marriage between the meat and the other items was perfect. The shawarma was not dry and well put together. Now, I was very disappointed with the rotisserie chicken used. This is not shawarma style meat. The chicken is supposed to be tender in the center and crispy on the side, and also not taste like rotisserie chicken. My friends beef kefta plate($25) was good. They also charge for water. The prices are on the higher side compared to another competitor in the area, though the kebabs are decent. read more

Party of 8 and First time trying this restaurant- we were the first group to arrive before what seemed like the dinner rush and We were seated and attended to right away. Owner took down our order and was great about answering our menu questions. All of the dishes came out pretty close to one another. They missed one side of our order but when we addressed it, it was corrected right away. The food itself was very good, portions were generous, and every one of us was left more than satisfied. Then we got the bill, noticed that there was a 4% admin fee and an 18% tip added already. Asked the server and was told that the system does that automatically. We ended up paying cash. The grilled lamb chops were a juicy meaty treat - a great find! The grilled meat entrees were served with basmati rice that's blended with vermicelli and slivered almonds. I could keep eating the rice alone! So good! As the other yelpers have written previously, the baba ganoush was outstanding. So creamy and seasoned perfectly. The mint lemonade was wonderful on hot and humid summer evening. Portion sizes very generous . Pricing is fair considered it made fresh with good ingredients and meats. Amira and her husband are running this family restaurant. Amira served us. She made sure we all enjoyed our food. I know we will be back to try more on the menu very soon! I came in to get lunch today and I got the Amira's Favorite Combo. It was made fresh but still didn't take very long at all to wait. The vibe is really cute and everything was clean. The combo came with 1/2 chicken, veggie rice, black beans and a pastellio. The pastellio was tasty and it was baked as opposed to fried but still very crispy and nice. The rice was really good too, but the chicken was definitely my favorite part. It was super juicy but not in a way that made it seem all chewy and weird like chicken can sometimes get. It was really delicious. Next time I go i'm really excited to try their other menu options, they really do have something for everyone. The chicken schwarma wrap was one of the best I've ever had. The garlic sauce was incredibly flavorful on it. The zaatar fries were also really good. The baklava has pistachio and orange flavors in it which made for a delectable orange finish after each bite. 10/10 highly recommend read more

I happened to notice that there is an Amiras on Cleveland, so I came home to look it up. I do not know what happened, but my review was never posted from 2 years ago. I'm 67 years old, so I'm going to try and recall the food. That restaurant was very clean, and we got one of the warmest welcomes. The owner explained everything to us. We got the tasty moist, well seasoned whole chicken, fries, salad, pita, and that delicious creamy hummus. I had the best lunch I have ever eaten at Amira's Kitchen yesterday. Amira greeted me warmly and served me attentively. On a friend's recommendation I ordered Amira's Falafel Roll (spicy version--it comes in a non-spicy version as well). It came with yummy, perfect fries lightly dusted with Zaatar. Wow what an excellent find on a cold winter night! We came to the city looking for something different and delicious and we found it. Amiras kitchen was super tasty and has a menu full of tasty things to try. We loved the mini manakesh and the kibbie was a totally unique food I've never had before and so tasty!
